paulvdb July 15, 2021 Share July 15, 2021 Quote Devi must learn the art of a genuine apology before it's too late. Kamala considers standing up for herself. Nalini takes some parenting advice. Link to comment
shapeshifter July 17, 2021 Share July 17, 2021 I'm glad that what made the difference was Aneesa's mom being compassionate about Devi's loss of her father. Anything less wouldn't have worked. And I'm glad Ben still wants to date Aneesa. The best part of Kamala pwning her sexist dweeb lab boss was that all the other lab dudes supported her. It was unrealistic, but worked well for a B plot. 1 13 Link to comment

Anything less wouldn't have worked. The interaction between the mothers was so sweet. Aneesa's mom could've stormed in like a tasman devil, but she was open to talking and, more important, listening. The over the top marching band bit is so overused in teen TV shows. 8 Link to comment
tennisgurl July 20, 2021 Share July 20, 2021 The talk between the moms was really great, I am glad that they managed to connect as parents who want the best for the daughters, who have both gone through a lot. The marching band was super cringy (although Trent was certainly into it) but her second apology, while also over the top, was a lot more heartfelt. I also really liked the flashback of Nalini and Mohan, it showed a different side to the marriage then what we have usually seen in flashbacks. I love that Kamala not only stood up for herself with her sexist nerd boss, but that the other nerd techs all supported her telling him off. Kamala seemed not thrilled with Prashant saying that she should keep her head down, even if it was well meaning, while she also seemed to have a moment with Devi's cool teacher. So will Kamala end up getting with him next? 2 2 Link to comment

So will Kamala end up getting with him next? Prashant is nice and I'm glad Kamala dated him. But I can really see her with someone like Mr. K. He's just got more umph and I could see her liking that. 1 5 Link to comment

A legitimate reason for couples to break up is that they "grow" apart, and Kamala seems to be growing more Western in her perspectives, which could be why Mr. K is now more her soul mate than Prashant. 1 2 Link to comment

The rumor would look good next to that. Scarlett45 June 12, 2022 Share June 12, 2022 What I found to be a tad unrealistic was that Aneesa’s parents were letting her change schools again because people found out about her anorexia. I would think it would be more likely that her parents would tell her she had to adjust to people knowing, if people cared they weren’t worth being friends with, and school is for education and not a social life. 2 Link to comment
