Snow Gun. Too much.

I don't know if after such a long break going with the anthology is the right move. I wanted to see everyone from the town.

Beef crying over the flag was funny though.

Honeybee with the low key Spin Doctors line got a huge groan. I can't stand them.

I continue to adore Honeybees love of Guy Fieri, he's truly her Alanis. I was hoping to see a bigger ensemble episode after the break, but I liked getting a three stories episode, lots of really funny lines and great animation. Especially Goose being a literal goose who could fly but as sucked into the jet engine, and Wolf adding sweaty sexy male volleyball into every scene. Honestly, they would fit right in with that bizarre Matrix 2 rave scene.

I actually looked up all of their stories, and they really are based on actual stories from Alaska! Bob Ross really did serve in the air force in Alaska and he really was inspired by the snow and mountains. The person who created the Alaskan flag really was a fourteen year old boy, and ranch dressing was, in fact, invented in Alaska! I feel like I have been so educated!

Boat: Fish Fish Bang Bang

Wolf's Shirt: Life on The Gas Lane

Sasquatch sighting: eating out of a trash can while Jerry and Moon were leaving a party. It even ran off!

Jack McBrayer as Beef's dead penis cloud! (That's something I never thought I'd type). And hey, it's Grimsburg Jon Hamm as Beef's Heart Dennis! Love the turn of phrases in this show like "Downstairs Dad."

"I'm Sex Tobin. I'm here to Beef you." Love all the attempts to get Beef back on his sex horse. Just how many of them were the same woman? And also Delmer matched with him.

Man, Nick Offerman was knocking his performance out of the park this week. Hell, I love Jenny Slate's completely uncomfortable performance here, too. Watch Judy in the background! She was a hoot.

Jerry and Moon's plot was cute, and of course it gets weird with the clowns. I'm glad they had the sense to run off the moment it was gonna get violent.

Beef cheeks! Brilliant nickname.

I'm glad their revisiting Beef dating. I really liked the ex wives club, but they never got back to Beef's adult life. I liked that Jerry is still doing the mascot too.

Poor Judy. She got so freaked out. Ham puts his hand on her shoulder to calm her down.

The clips of the dates and the quick cuts to the house were hilarious.

The motto for the Russian restaurant is "We can see your mouth from here!"

It's not fair that Greta wrote the poem, but the ladies loved it. Beef could hook up every night. I mean, it's a small town. Everyone must be doing it. Even Santiago!

Was Jon Hamm the heart?

It sure was. Also good synergy with Grimsburg.

I guess Dennis and the Penis Cloud were here in place of Alanis. I would've loved to hear what she thought about all this.

That was a hilarious episode, so many great lines. I like them getting back to Beef's dating life, he's spent so much time being heartbroken over Kathleen, its really time he goes for something more than fisherwomen monthly.

Judy's silent screams were killing me, watching her throughout was a delight. I also really love the animation of this show, the characters are so expressive and the locations are all so bright and full of atmosphere.

The subplot with Moon and Jerry was cute, of course it ends up involving killer party clowns.

"I've always wanted to double team with my dad."

"I hope to God you don't know what your saying."

My ick at the idea of Beef discussing hooking up with his minor children was basically subsumed by how absolutely hilarious Judy was. My mom used to complain that she tried to give us frank discussions about sex (which she didn't get to have) but my sister and I would run screaming from the room. At some point apparently we told her we'd learn what we needed to know on the streets like normal people.

The 2/25 episode (S4E3 - Aunt Misbehavin) had a TV14/D/L/S/V warning card at the beginning. Do they just slap those on any Fox animated show now? Because this one seemed pretty tame!

Jane Lynch as the long lost Aunt Dirt was fun. Living in a bunker for 60 years, and the first thing Wolf wants to do with her is show her the Look Who's Talking cinematic universe. And what sticks with her is the slang. Sure, "lol" means "lots of loss."

"What if a hamburger could help you?"

Moon getting straight up rejected by Quinn was devastating. And taking a pig to the practice prepper prom?! Man. But at least they made up in the end. And man, I've been feeling like Moon lately, so I could relate hard.

Wow, they were eating Tostitos Scoops, and I was eating Tostitos Scoops while watching this!

I thought for a second that no one was going to believe Moon. I'm glad they all just went out to investigate. And then wow it took a hard turn.

I don't know about Moon asking Quinn out. I know he likes her, but it seems a little stretch. Also he doesn't know Quinn isn't always sass?

I did like that Beef put his foot down after four days. Bob and Linda do not do that enough.

Pornography that moves around.

I liked that Honey and Wolf were all in on showing Aunt all the movies.

Jane Lynch is perfect for this show.

Loved that 60s style commercial at the end.

Letting Moon use the bunker but he insisted that he still had to go to school first (even if Moon ran away) is something Bob and Linda would NEVER do.

I couldn't imagine anyone else playing a lesbian prepper aunt that had been living in a bunker since the 60s. And since the bunker isn't locked anymore, it gives an opportunity for the cast to come visit her, and vice-versa whenever the plot needs her.

Mean Streets and Hubie Halloween is a hell of a double feature. With taste like that, I'm not surprised that Wolf was unaware that they made movies before 1964.

Jane Lynch really is a perfect fit for this show, she's the perfect person to play a sassy lesbian prepper aunt who's been in a bunker since the 50s! I hope she continues to pop up, she seems like she'll be a really fun addition to the show.

Moon getting a hard rejection hurt, at least he got his dance. I would probably have wanted to spend my life in a bunker too after that, after some stress based meowing.

I love that the Tobin's are so prepared for anything that they have a plan ready just in case they find someone sneaking around their property in a gas mask and disappearing into a hole in the ground.

Man, wasn't expecting Honeybee winning mayor for a day. I knew that approving everyone's weird requests was gonna bite her in the ass, and of course the fence request set off a war with Whippleton and Ted's Folly.

Honeybee taking a soggy hoagie bullet for Wolf while a cover of The Bodyguard theme plays is peak Relationship Goals.

"There are no small proposals, just small mayors. Which are different than short kings, who I love and respect."

I love how into it the family was on the makeovers.

Anyone giving out the full sized candy bars should be mayor.

As soon as Honeybee signed the form on the fence, I knew there was going to be a problem. Fences are a big deal.

I'm a little disappointed in Honeybee. She wasn't really 'making decisions'; just giving people what they want without forethought. Getting elected on a write in seemed a little hacked to me. I don't see that she's so popular around town to be a write in.

Although I think you should be able to skinny dip on your own property.

The whole family getting perks was hilarious. They each had their own pie.

Making an episode as an entire setup for a Bodyguard joke was worth it.

Same, and being dead for five years shouldn't have stopped her from getting re-elected.

It's kind of worse if people wrote in Honeybee as a joke though.

I liked the episode, but it seemed off to me. The townspeople are quirky, but something like this leans into meanness for me.

I knew right away that Honeybee saying yes to everything would be a disaster, especially that fence. Fences are a big deal, five feet might as well be five miles! I would normally like to think that Honeybee would be able to handle her girl bossing a bit better, but I guess that sash would go to anyone's head, especially if she was working through some other stuff.

I love how into the makeovers the whole family got, they were completely incredible.

So...revolving an episode around Cheesecake. Just a failure of a man that I wasn't too jazzed to see them try to carry a whole story. I wanted more of Beef's plot with Carissa.

Well, it was good to see Dirtrude again so soon. I also liked the cruise ship people enamored with Beef for being an Authentic Alaskan Man.

Cheesecake hasn't been around in a while. Just being friends since they were kids was ok, but I was hoping there was something more like when Kathleen left, Cheesecake helped Wolf, or something like that.

Beef is back with the divorced group! I'm so thrilled! I mentioned it a while ago. And he's flirting. Well.

Auntie Dirt is back? She just hangs around now!

I didn't like Honeybee last week, but she was back in form tonight.

Both of the shows were great tonight.

I love that Aunt Dirt joined everyone in the car to help Cheesecake at his new job and she just sat there, and only spoke later to say that she would continue not contributing, I'm so happy she's sticking around.

Cheesecake is such an absolute wreck of a person, he's lucky he has Wolf, as well as constantly finding himself in dangerous situations where he can get payouts.

I'm so glad that Beef is back with the divorcees, and he actually had some game with Carissa! Love that Beef is basically a tourist attraction, the Most Authentic Alaskan Man.

Not surprised that the guy who's laptop Beef watched was writing a fantasy story about a sex dragon.

Wolf's Shirt: Fart-Time Lover

I'm with Aunt Dirt. Buy a Bumblebee! Man, I love how much her dynamic adds to the family. I liked that the family ultimately bought a Zamboni.

"I look forward to enduring your art." That's a mood. This was a fun Judy plot. Dressing up like a Dividend Check and yelling at everyone in the audience about being complicit to the oil industry bleeding Alaska dry. And then Judy switches to sponsoring hockey because she's banned from Curling (great callback).

I was surprised that Wolf and Honeybee's house gym got customers. I loved that Delmer was the first one, but they had actual customers! Loved that they called in anonymous tips to the health inspector to shut them down.

I loved the "Everything is sports" song.

Aunt Dirt again! I really enjoy when a show can pull a game changer to open up story lines. I'm surprised they didn't do an episode on oil money before.

Nice callback to Judy's curling disaster.

I'm surprised Santiago plays hockey. I'm so fascinated by the character because I want to know how he ended up there. Good job on Judy coaching.

I never noticed Wolf and Honeybee's wedding picture.

I'm surprised this is the first time Honeybee saw Cheesecake starkers.

Wow Smurfs on Ice reference too.

I never noticed that Ham and Crispin wear the same sneakers.

This was a really strong episode for Judy.

That was a really good episode for Judy, she learned a good lesson about getting people to listen to her. Nice call back to her ban on curling!

I love that Delmer was Honeybee and Wolf's first customer, but of course they both called the authorities on their clearly not up to code business. Way too much work.

Aunt Dirt is a really fun addition to the show.

Love that New Fork has a replica Eiffel Tower that's a replica of the replica Eiffel Tower in Vegas.

I am really liking what Aunt Dirt brings to the show. Her solution to getting pulled over is to show her gams, then start shooting. Calling the Shreks "Gumbies" delighted me so much.

I loved Beef in this. Not just binging "Cynthia Fix My Cake" to help Ham out with his cake problem, and but I was living for him saying "ginormous gazongas."

So the Shrekfest was an ORGY. That tracks for this show.

I liked getting back to Ham and baking.

Auntie Dirt again! Just a brilliant direction for the show. I can't say it enough. Did you all catch the Abominable Snowman in a basketball jersey when Young Dirt walked away with the basketball!

I like Judy, but she was being annoying to Ham. The family is usually supportive, so it seemed a little much for them to so self-absorbed.

I don't get why Wolf just couldn't just pee out the door while they were driving.

I'm actually quite disappointed in the Tobins. Beef kind of gaslit Ham. "Oh, you said everything was ok. You need to say when it's not." You're the dad, Beef.

Poor Ham, I felt really bad for him. It was hard seeing the usually always supportive Tobins being so selfish but they all do tend to get obsessed over their very specific interests and can get carried away, its just too bad that it all happened at once when Ham really them. At least they came through at the end.

I have to shout out the animators on Ham's face, they really nailed his facial expressions, going from trying really hard not to be upset to his eyes twitching before he blows up on everyone.

Aunt Dirt is such a fun addition to the show. Looks like she was just seconds away from getting to play basketball with Bigfoot!

Yes, Fat Bear Week is a thing, and I love Beef's enthusiasm for it. And wow, it's because he's been hooking up with Carissa. Also, I had no idea until now that Katmai National Park, the park where Fat Bear Week is held, is in Alaska! This show, man.

Jeez, Beef's vision with the coffee and the donut "dunking" was probably the dirtiest thing this show's ever done. Honestly, this ep was a tour de force for Nick Offerman's voice acting.

I honestly love how Aunt Dirt's mind was blown by how normal it is to be out in public these days. And that Lone Moose has more than one gay bar. Her plot was very heartwarming.

I know the ending was coming, but I got a big laugh out of Moon walking in on Beef and Carissa's bath.

I have a friend that loves Fat Bear Week.

I cannot get enough of Aunt Dirt.

I'm surprised that Judy was all excited about Beef and Clarissa in the bath, given how she dealt with Beef hooking up. Moon was freaked out this time. I do like that they are continuing this plot.

So they all go to the VFW and there's food trucks and they watch the bears? I could totally be fine doing that.

Coffee cup Carissa was having a blast with the dunking!

Pryde Lion is brilliant name.

I can't believe they got 'checking my box' by the censors.

I really liked the speakeasy. It was perfect for Dirt. Ham was super great.

I just assume that since they're on the road system, not all villages in Alaska are, they are able to drive up and down to the little communities that are dotted all over.

I really liked that Carissa just wasn't into that guy. Not that she wasn't into him because he was gay or her cousin, but that he just wasn't her type. So many shows would have gone down the gay or family member way.

Fat Bear Week is in October. Some get names, for reasons I don't know some don't. It is fantastic.

I'm so happy to learn that Fat Bear Week is a real thing, this show is so educational! I was surprised at how fast Beef and Carissa were moving, but I guess it makes sense that it would be easier for Beef to physically move faster than he does emotionally. I like how things played out with them at the end, I definitely thought that it would turn out that the donut king was gay and we would see him at one of the gay clubs that Ham and Aunt Dirt went to, but I really like that it was just that Carissa isn't into him like that.

Aunt Dirt freaking out about women being able to publicly date women was great, her and Ham's ploy was really cute.

Poor traumatized Moon. "Hello child services, do you do curbside pickup?"

TWO episodes tonight!

Idita-Ruth Adventure:

Boat: The 40 Year Old Sturgeon

Wolf's Shirt: Air Butt

Ooh, a banned books episode. And we get more of Bethany! SHE'S Double Boobs! I liked how she had no passion in art. "Look at these penises, they have no joy in them."

I enjoyed Wolf's plot. He has SUCH normal calming breaths, and he's so normal his pancakes were drowning in syrup. Not surprised that his anxiety towards Ruth comes from his own unresolved issues with his own mom. I loved all his country songs, the one he sang at the Iditarod was really sweet.

"No mysteries, I'd like to sleep tonight."

A Chug's Life Adventure:

Boat: Yeah, Buoy!

Wolf's Shirt: Gas To The Tooter

Yep, Aunt Dirt is such a great addition to the show. I'm appreciating plots that show people with sadder lives than hers, like Cheesecake or Doug.

Drunk Beef is certainly a new one, but it is always a good formula to shows to get characters drunk that don't normally do so. I was living for Drunk Beef singing The Humpty Hump.

And I love everyone acknowledging that Moon is the best driver in the family.

My tivo didn't list two episodes.

Fat Bear Friend also is into dog racing.

You don't see Moon on his own at school outside the family much. I like that this was the main plot. And Bethany was the culprit!

Wolf was a little too wacky for me. I like that they went away from the mother-in-law being just awful and Wolf was the problem. Honeybee being frustrated was fair though. I don't like when the show goes wacky. It's stronger when it's grounded and the humor evolves from that. The resolution was good, but I didn't think Wolf needed to be as wacky to get the point across.

Ham's country songwriting was excellent. Just naming things. Wolf's song was actually good.

---

I never noticed that Moon is throwing a snowball at Ham in the opening sequence. I forget Beef was a dad at 19.

I was going say - Cheesecake is the obvious option to chug n tug.

This had to be Honeybee's biggest "BABE NO!"

Chug N Tug seems like a great event. I could chug, but no way could I do shots in between. I don't know why there was a time limit on getting the rope going either.

I don't get how Moon can reach the pedals. I could see him being able to drive a tractor/plow or an ATV.

Auntie Dirt just steals the show.

It's actually been quite a season of growth for Beef. He's hooking up. Then he got a girlfriend. Here, he goes out for a night. Ham and Judy are fine. He doesn't have to worry about them. They basically raised Moon, and he's turning out all right. Really, he's only finally moving on from Kathleen, and Wolf clearly still hasn't worked out his issues with her. That's a dense backstory for a Sunday night cartoon.

1 hour ago, Galileo908 said:

Moon was supposed to be the designated driver, but he didn't need to drive to the docks. Auntie Dirt just told him to drive. That's the funny part.

I like that they never said why the party animal was emancipated from his family. Just that his life was miserable, and he has to clip coupons. Nothing wrong with clipping coupons, but not a 16 y/o.

She wants the toe back "when you're done with it."

I am really liking how much Beef is growing this season, he's dating, he's going out again, he's alright with leaving the kids to their own devices every once in awhile, its taken awhile but he's finally moving past all of the damage Kathleen did to his life. Hopefully Wolf follows his example, he is clearly not at all over his issues with his mom, I knew right away that his anxiety with Ruth came with his issues with his mom. Luckily Ruth is a very understanding lady and understood what was going on even before Wolf did, they even sang a country duet!

Ruth's very diplomatic "I don't want to judge Kathleen, but I do not think we would have gotten along well" was such a mom move.

Aunt Dirt continues to be a really fun addition to the show and the Tobin family dynamic. "Judy, you'll have to hold them up for me."

I had no idea we were getting two episodes, that was a fun surprise!

Boat: Boatlejuice

Wolf's Shirt: Fart of Your World

Alanis is back! Man, it really feels like the show outgrew needing her if Judy just flips her off. I liked how punchy this episode was in general. Bob's Burgers has started to feel, I dunno, tame? This show is becoming more chaotic, with Aunt Dirt, and Judy and Kima getting high on edibles, to the songs.

I could go the rest of my life without hearing the phrases "Humid Hoagie Hive", "Sog Squad", and "Moist Militia", Wolf. The Wet Wolf sounds gross as hell, no wonder it got taken off the menu. I mean, a single slice of swiss cheese covered in a cup each of mayo, ketchup, thousand island dressing, mustard and relish sounds like a pain in the ass to ear, let alone to clean up. And actually seeing them in person just confirmed it.

I haven't seen Alanis in ages.

Not that I have anything against edibles, but why is everything candy? I'm surprised the girl with the cool hair let them take so many.

I'm surprised the fancy restaurant even let the girls in.

Hoagie Pony is a great name for a sandwich shop even though Wolf's sandwich is gross. I don't like the plots recently that have leaned too wacky with Wolf. There's no reason Honeybee would indulge him.

I think they missed an opportunity to contrast growing up in Lone Moose with being in larger city.

Link to comment

Alanis is back! I missed her and her voice that defined a generation! Judy is getting so confident that she hardly needs her anymore, but its still a treat for me!

I loved the pure chaos of Judy and Kima running around the city high out of their minds after accidently eating gummies, with their very stressed out teacher in pursuit. "I'm taking this to the grave."

The Wet Wolf sounds utterly disgusting, and seeing them just conformed it. No sandwich (or maybe any food item) should have the word "wet" in the name.
