DoctorAtomic March 28, 2020 Share March 28, 2020 (edited) One thing I like on a show is when people are good at their jobs. Not like the best ever, but I hate shows where total fuck ups keep their jobs. So I'm liking that with Marty out of the picture there's cracks in the operation. I said in the other episode thread that no one is just letting him do his job. Helen is also good at her job, but she's smug. I wouldn't be surprised if Ruth ends up killing her. The daughter is really shining this season. Edited March 28, 2020 by DoctorAtomic 10 Link to comment
Chaos Theory March 29, 2020 Share March 29, 2020 So how was Kansas City Marty? i like this show because no one is incompetent. Sometimes someone might do something that is stupid buf there is usually a reason for it. The new plan to launder money quick that Ruth Helen and Wendy did was clever but it was also quickly discovered by the FBI lady so the cat and mouse game continues. 2 Link to comment
roughing it March 30, 2020 Share March 30, 2020 Yes it was clever but executed poorly. They should have thought further ahead to execute without arousing suspicion. They needed Marty's input because he is the expert. 5 Link to comment
SoWindsor April 6, 2020 Share April 6, 2020 I liked seeing Young Marty and getting some of his backstory. I guess the arcade game was the start of him outsmarting the system? 4 Link to comment
summer57 April 29, 2020 Share April 29, 2020 In earlier episodes, Marty told Ruth he'd show her how to launder money so he and the family could leave for good, and Ruth could handle the businesses on her own. Suddenly, we find that Marty hasn't told Ruth everything she needs to know. Marty's left out crucial information - which seems to be an easy procedure, once you know the steps. He told Navarro exactly how to handle the red flag, and could have shown Ruth, had he really wanted her to handle things on her own. I guess the writers didn't want Marty to be redundant after all. 1 Link to comment

So you might as well be the game than the player. Kind of the same thing as owning the casino. 3 Link to comment

I suspect it was a plan by Wendy and Ruth to show Navarro that Marty is necessary. Ruth knew what the red flag was so I’m sure Marty told her how the deal with it. 2 1 Link to comment
SlovakPrincess May 17, 2022 Share May 17, 2022 Navarro is so f'n annoying. Much like Marty, I hope he gets his head chopped off at some point. Marty has officially lost his mind down in the dungeon if he actually thinks he can compromise Maya. Why? Why would she even entertain that idea? Maybe Marty has some other, longer play in mind here, but what a strange, risky thing to tell Navarro. Ben and Ruth -- ok, I can get behind that! Why on earth is Wendy letting Ben stay in the room when Ruth is telling Wendy and Helen about the red flag? Now not only does Helen know Charlotte knows too much, she knows Ben knows too much (even beyond seeing Marty get kidnapped). Link to comment
