Now I don't think zoey was wrong to take the job with Joey... Her putting her Ex's work in the mix without giving him a heads up was not ideal... Glad Vivek us getting something.. Felt like he's been the footnote too long... Jaz and Doug are always good for a laugh and are a pretty solid young couple.. Reminds me of a few I knew in college which was only a few years ago...

Watching Zoey go back to her emotionally abusive ex, was just sad to watch.

Yeah, that was disappointing, especially when it seemed like they were addressing some of the oddities of their relationship, like how he only bothers to respond to her when/how he feels like it. It was always Zoey tap-dancing around a monosyllabic, judgy Luca and it seemed like she finally recognized the disparity in their efforts. But then the ending came and...guess not.

I don't like Luca's new hairstyle, it's not as striking as his former 'do. And he's really not a great actor, the more lines he has to deliver, the more obvious his lack of talent is.

I don't even understand what she sees in him. He's always been horrible to her, he's been openly abusive and cruel to her, he's repeatedly cut her down and his "riding my own wave" crap was a complete cop-out.

I knew from the episode description that I wouldn't like this episode. First of all, you do NOT have to be friends with your ex. Secondly, no one should pressure you to do so. Thirdly, even though Zoey said that she and Luca were friends before they dated, were they REALLY friends or was he just a guy she knew who barely said anything and when he did it was a bunch of bull shit that she ate up as deep and meaningful?

Her attempt at being friends with him again was a bust from the beginning. When someone can't even be bothered to lift their eyes from their phone screen to have a conversation with you, walk away. His habit of not wanting to volunteer any information does not make for a good conversation anyway. The only time he bothers to use more than handful of words at a time with Zoey is when he's telling her how much better he is or arguing with her.

When they were supposedly friends again, that consisted of Luca still not really saying anything and Zoey not wanting to rock the boat. She didn't ask him about why he was wheeling that case around school. When they were at his place having fake vegan soup, she bit her tongue not to contradict him. He also showed absolutely no interest in what was going on in her life. That's not a friendship.

When he came over to yell at her, I was like good, this fake friendship can finally be over! But nope, the show had to have Zoey backslide right into his poseur arms.

I'm with Doug - zero nipples is the right number. But I'm also with Jazz - why would you get precheck instead of global entry? It's $15 more and it's good for five years so that works out to paying $3 more per year.

I think it would have helped if Zoey had told Luca that she wanted them to try to be friends, or at least friendly, because it was important to Nomi. I hate Luca, but I can see how he might think she was jerking him around and playing with his feelings, when she broke up with him, the chased her to the airport and saw her kissing Aaron, and now she's all friendly with no explanation.

That does not absolve Luca for his own asshole behavior, though, not at all.

If the show weren’t already setting Zoe up to unknowingly befriend Luca’s new fling, which doesn’t seem like a storyline they would set up if it were going to go nowhere, it almost feels like they’re gearing up the reveal that Luca went home upset from seeing Zoe and Aaron kiss, found a drunk and depressed Nomi, and they had sex which would explain why she told him first and why he’s suddenly hanging around playing house now - I didn’t watch season one or most of season two, but were they friends before this? Because otherwise it makes no sense for Nomi of all people to be behind the scenes BFFs with Luca, who can’t even string together a three word sentence to the woman he’s supposedly in love with. I don’t exactly envision him as a fun hang out buddy. He seems like the type of guy who would only bother interacting with women that he was attracted to so I’m really not buying this sudden friendship with Nomi unless he’s the father, which would also explain why she avoided the rest of the house all summer until she was obviously showing and couldn’t hide it anymore. I know it would be fucked up, but that would actually be the most exciting thing that ever happened on the show LOL.

Also as a bi woman myself, I know bisexual women obviously also sleep with men and I think it’s weird that shows that do feature bisexual women only ever usually show them hooking up with one gender, but I miss Nomi the womanizer. Having her reduced to the pregnant girl is annoying and again will only be worth the pay off if the writers totally commit to blowing shit up and reveal that Luca is the father!

They smoked a lot of weed together... And they've had scenes of them hanging out... Kinda just doing nothing... Him being the dad would be pretty wild.. But in the hookup flashback the guy seemed to have a short haircut

True but that whole story was kind of told as a dream sequence for the others to imagine with Nomi being intentionally vague on details so I could easily see us getting a "what really happened" flashback reveal. Plus they could've just had her say something like "I didn't know him" or "I didn't get his number" but instead she seems to know who the father is and is deliberately avoiding telling the rest of the group - why would she care if the father is a random? But then again maybe I'm just spinning conspiracy theories because I desperately want Luca to be the dad for the sheer drama of it all lol

Compelling argument.. And it would be drama... And two emotional potheads hooking up isn't out of the realm of possibilities

Ugh Luca just continues to be The Worst. Did he actually forget what happened last season? Zoe "played" him with her...boss? He sure does have a selective, self serving memory! Even Zoe, who can be pretty selfish herself, deserves better than pretentious, self important, piece of crap Luca.

It really does suck have an ex on your college campus though. Its kind of easy to avoid an ex out in the "real" world as long as you dont work together or something, but if you have any mutual classes, interests, friends, etc in college, no matter how big the campus is, your kind of stuck bumping into them.

Ouch, Junior. That hashtag. And your trying to get into advertising!

It seems like the Grown-ish and Black-ish shows operate in two different universes, while Junior is pining away for Skye in Grown-ish universe, he had at least 2 significant "Girlfriend" interactions on Black-ish.
