I get that Tammy's missing tooth makes her lisp, but please practice the big words. I believe their tongues also get fat so it's difficult to form certain words. They're also uneducated and, imo, kinda simple minded. 1 4 Link to comment

I think they've been isolated for so long that when they are out in public together, as a coping mechanism, they retreat into their weird little world and act like fools. I found the pool scene a bit touching. Imagine being over 600 pounds and trying to move. The lightness of her body in the pool must have felt liberating. 25 Link to comment
SunnyBeBe January 26, 2020 Share January 26, 2020 I can sort of understand why Tammi is afraid of living separate from her sister too. All of the the intimate things that Tammi needs help with, would certainly be embarrassing....so, to have to get a new caregiver.....I can see how that would be scary. She needs to realize that it's no picnic for Amy though and try to get her weight down so she can handle her own needs. 8 Link to comment

I'd think it would be easier because that person is essentially am employee...on the clock....doing a job. I'd guess there would be little judgment (or at least not that Tami would be able to pick up on) and whoever that person is wouldn't complain the same way an unpaid family member would (and should). That person can go home at the end of the day so there isn't that constant tension brewing from being forced together all the time. It just seems like it would be easier for all parties involved. What would suck for Tami though is that if the paid caregiver does tamis shopping and food prep, she is more likely to give Tami whatever unhealthy food she demands because she isn't invested and this is just a job. 2 5 Link to comment

Amy might be OK with coming next door to help with showering, and in emergencies, if Tammy would do her own meal prep and dishwashing. 1 Link to comment

They only want her to live in the other side of the duplex and it would literally be 10 ft away from each others front door. It's not like she'd be living across town all by herself. 1 4 Link to comment
Johnny Dollar January 27, 2020 Share January 27, 2020 I’ve come to the realization that most people on TLC shows would benefit greatly from combs and mirrors. 11 4 Link to comment
