jewel21 November 24, 2019 Share November 24, 2019 With Spencer, Grace, Dillon and Darnell reeling from the news about why Corey may have left, they set out on a mission to find him. After locating Corey and trying to convince him to go home with them, the weekend turns out to be just what everyone needed. In an effort to keep fighting for the family to be whole again, Billy arranges for the family to meet with a family therapist and possibly help decide on the next step for them. During the session, the therapist gives Jordan and Olivia a separate assignment, which helps them learn more about each other than either knew. Airdate: 11/25/2019 Link to comment
mojoween November 26, 2019 Share November 26, 2019 (edited) Damnit. They could have let Spencer be happy for awhile. Corey must have been sicker than he let on but it’s nice he found out Dylan was really and truly his though. Spencer DID get a Super Bowl ring and I could not be happier about it. Every time Darnell is on screen I think that the show would be so good if HE were Spencer because he’s so fine, so I finally decided to look him up... aaaand he’s the same age as son. Gross. So I went back to ogling Taye Diggs only. Edited November 26, 2019 by mojoween 3 4 Link to comment
lb60 November 26, 2019 Share November 26, 2019 Shit! The whole episode, all I kept thinking was how I really, really didn't want Corey to die. At least his last moments were happy, but damn. That was brutal. 3 Link to comment
twoods November 26, 2019 Share November 26, 2019 Damn it show, that was brutal. Why are all my feel good shows such downers this season? What makes it worse is that the actor that plays Spencer is so good and an amazing crier so I was constantly losing it. 5 Link to comment
KWalkerInc November 26, 2019 Share November 26, 2019 Toward the end, I was looking at the clock and thinking that maybe they actually would avoid just wrapping up everything with Corey in one episode, even though everything was pointing that way. But then of course he had to say he was going in one last time to get the jersey, so he was a goner. Of course, he hadn't answered when Darnell asked how much time he had, so maybe he was very sick but able to do all that stuff just because of adrenaline of seeing his family. This was all creative license like I suspected, as I read that the real Spencer's dad was his assistant coach in high school and continued at the school until 2013. The worst part was that I couldn't even get any relief from the sadness during commercials, as they had to immediately follow an emotional scene with C3PO being melancholy and then those young girls using the tablet to make a video of their dead grandma! Oh well, at least the Muppets popped up later. As someone who can't draw worth crap, I thought Olivia's art was amazing. 4 Link to comment

This one was a tear-jerker. But the medical professional in me couldn't stop wondering why Corey didn't look sicker. I know they couldn't force the actor to lose 30 pounds in a few weeks, but they could've done something with make up to give him a haggard appearance, or give him a limp because of joint aches, or something. Anything to make me believe he was that close to death's door. Unless there's an assisted suicide plot the show doesn't want to explore. My scrooge-like opinions aside, Daniel Ezra knocked it out the park AGAIN. His dramatic scenes are always heart-wrenching and believable. I hope Hollywood is taking notice and gives this kid all of the opportunities he deserves once this show is over. And yes. Olivia's art was great. I wish Laura had someone to confide in--a friend or own therapist, for example. Because all I see her expressing to everyone is her anger -- to Billy (who deserves it), to her children, and even to the therapist. But there's got to be more going on inside of her: hurt, sadness, feelings of betrayal, feelings of embarrassment, feelings of insecurity. But I never see or hear her express any of those emotions. 1 Link to comment

Yes! I'm in the medical profession too and the fact that he didn't look one bit sick and then died in this episode bugged me. And absolutely Daniel Ezra is amazing. I can't believe how much he can make me feel. Not to mention his American accent is dead on. I actually thought he was American. I couldn't believe that he was British. 3 Link to comment
