I suppose having the unpaired-up person actually happy and satisfied about it is too much to ask... Maybe I should have just given kudos to TBBT for representing the reality that a lot of people aren't necessarily happily paired up? I prefer it to having everybody matched up at least.

I too appreciate that the show is not matching everybody up at the end. There are a lot of happy single people in the world, but most entertainment makes it seems like being happy, fulfilled and satisfied is impossible unless you're in a relationship. So kudos Big Bang Theory. I also really liked the Leonard/Beverly resolution. I think it's very true that most people don't/can't change who they are, so it's ultimately up to each individual to let go of their own conflict in a way that's healthy for them. (I mean set boundaries and make sure it's something you can live with sure, but it's also very freeing and healing to accept that other people may not ever be who you want them to be and make peace with that... even if that person is one's parent.) I did like Penny standing up to her though. I also liked Stuart admitting he had been too afraid to move in with his girlfriend and then later telling her he loves her, and the Raj/Howard scene at the airport. Good episode.

I don't think American Housewife will have any problem being renewed - it's one of ABC's strongest sitcoms. I'm much more worried about the awesome The Kids Are Alright that follows it - its ratings are decent but not great, so it's been on the bubble, even though it is the most critically acclaimed sitcom ABC has.

I loved that - I hate cilantro and plan to work that line into conversation in the future.

Airdate: May 7, 2019 This new episode is listed on ABC's schedule and TVGuide, but TitanTV is listing a repeat instead. (TitanTV also erroneously has Blackish listed, which has been pulled because ABC is airing two episodes of Bless This Mess after The Kids Are Alright.) I hope viewers don't miss a new episode because of a listing mistake. This show could probably use all the viewers it can get, to make sure it gets renewed.

Same here. I watched Paris, Wine & Romance last night and really liked it. (A lot more than I expected to, especially since I'm not into wine-making or talking a lot about it even though I do drink it.) I had already read here that Jen was pregnant, so I was never unable to unsee that. She is gorgeous though, and her eyes are huge! Her best friend was stunning too and looked like a model. They certainly won the genetic lottery. 😉 Dan Jeannotte was great and his accent sounded good to me. The only issue I had is that I wish they would have spoken French with subtitles in scenes with just him and his brother and/or mother. It seemed jarring to have them only speak English, and was one of the reasons I thought the movie might be a dud when I only saw the last five minutes. I really liked him with Jen and I hope he stars in more Hallmark movies in the future. Edited to Add: I enjoyed Paris, Wine & Romance way more than Paris, Wine & Chocolate even though I love chocolate way more than I do wine... go figure. I loved the exterior shots of Paris, I love the travel-porn, and I hope they continue to film a lot of these movies in appealing locations. That really ups the enjoyment factor for me.

Thanks for the review Kirinan. I recorded it, but haven't watched it yet. I did catch the last five minutes or so, and it didn't look very good... but of course that is without having watched the rest of it, so I'm glad to read that you liked it.

That's perfect! I much prefer that to destroying an awesome character! I'm totally fine with it being an alternate universe. I think it would be dumb to ruin this sweet show by trying to stick to TBBT cannon exactly.

First of all... I loved Timmy catching the mitt, looking at it confused and then throwing it back to his dad. 😄 Also... good luck with that talk. I don't envy you! It was pretty brilliant how they were able to get through this entire hilarious episode without coming right out and specifically saying what they were talking about. It reminded me of Seinfeld in that way - in particular The Contest episode (which is often listed as the funniest episode of television ever made) featuring the same activity that is never overtly mentioned. The funniest Seinfeld episodes were often about racier subjects that weren't normally addressed on television back then. It was a much more innocent time -- television was so different compared to our current anything-goes standards. (Or lack of standards. Is there even a Broadcast Standards and Practices now?) I think that is a big part of what made Seinfeld so exceptionally hilarious... the way they danced around delicate subjects, finding creative ways to get their points across. These days sitcoms can be very crass, but having characters say whatever raunchy things the writers come up with usually diminishes the humor compared to a more subtle and creative approach. Anyway... I think that is another thing this show has going for it -- being set in a more innocent era really opens up the humor when its delivered with such a deft touch.

Yep, sooo gross and funny! I was wondering if there was somebody just below the camera angle throwing the toenail pieces at them. Those things were really flying and if they weren't carefully aimed they could put an eye out! 😄 Or get in their mouths while they were talking. Yuck. On another note... I've been hoping somebody would transcribe the whole conversation between Timmy and Lawrence. It was so hilarious.

I too liked the kids faking being sick and the nice parent teaching them a lesson. I laughed when they showed Greg finding the two boys - clueless Tripp behind the coat stand and Cooper B all wrapped up in a blanket in the basket. 😄 It was nice to see Greg get a win. Katie was perhaps even more over the top and cringe-worthy than usual. They really have to tone that down.

Haha! I loved Peggy and her washing machine, along with the Sears catalogue mention (women's coats!) and the sexed up Mrs. Butterworth bottle. 😄 And Timmy's whole conversation with Lawrence. I loved the whole Frank/Joey storyline too, and the twist that the nice girl was doing community service. Joey was really sweet with the nursing home residents.

This was another hilarious episode and I laughed out loud a lot! I need to go watch it again. 😄

I hope so! Although they pulled it last week to air the Bless this Mess pilot for the second time, and then this week their website was listing American Idol until they finally changed it some time today. (I was going to start the episode thread last night and I went to abc.com to double check first and it wasn't listed on their 4/30 schedule page.) So after that goof-up, TVGuide must have pulled the new episode from their "New Tonight" listing page and failed to put it back today. I hope these goof-ups didn't effect the ratings! It's so annoying! The Kids Are Alright deserves a much wider audience and needs every viewer they can get.

Love Takes Flight: I really liked Walter and little Quinn. Nikki was great as usual, and Jeff Hephner was very appealing - I wouldn't mind seeing more of him. Toward the end of the movie Lizzie tells Charley that when she first met him she expected to hate him, and I felt the same way during their first scene together. He came across as a big jerk, so props to the actor for managing to make the character one that I would root for... and I did, even to the point of being more on his side during the land the helicopter scene. I know it wasn't technically his call to land, but he's the one with a boatload of experience flying and landing helicopters in extreme conditions... and he knew he could do it and obviously he was right. I thought Lizzie being wrong about it was at least part of the reason why she was so pissed off. I know, I know, he went against her order... but still... I bet that patient is thrilled that the guy flying in their kidney listened to his own expert opinion, and the star-surgeon was too. I ended up feeling like maybe they should have given the opinion of the expert (with tons of experience) who was out in those conditions sitting in the helicopter right above the landing pad a lot more credence. (But then you wouldn't have the conflict, drama and makeup scene at the end.) All that being said... I liked Lizzie and Charley's friendship, but there wasn't that much to it and they hadn't even gone out on a date... so the big OMG he's leaving! reaction didn't really feel earned. I loved Walter with Quinn and Lizzie though! That was very sweet. Walter's home was fantastic... and how awesome was the tea party he set up for Quinn? (He and Quinn had some cute banter, too.) I liked the father/son stuff, but I can understand why some people thought it was too much of a downer for Hallmark. It seems like at least ninety percent of all Hallmark movies have one or more main characters who lost a spouse or parent very recently, but they usually don't spend so much time focused on it, I think. I agree with y'all about Lizzie's wardrobe - it was weird for the C.O.O. of a hospital to be wearing jeans everyday. It almost seemed like they started filming as if it was set in a very small, laid-back town and later added the exterior shots to make it Savannah. (I think Lizzie mentions Savannah at one point though, so maybe not.)
