Any guesses on if any “beginnings” have become “ends” or vice versa? I’m still hopeful for Will and Jasmine since they will be able to talk outside of the boundaries of the show. Maybe she will fall back on her financial requirements and he can explain his plans for the future without people recording their every breath. I’m a straight woman and I can say how gorgeous Jas is and how I wish I had her chocolate skin and her shape in that wedding dress. I can go through all of them and find something attractive. That Luke cannot find anything to say about Kate physically is him being an asshole.

Will could have done that bc I think he was physically attracted to Jas. On the other hand, Luke would have had Kate running into traffic with his non-answers.

I think it is incredible, and not in a good way, that folks try to find out the places of employment and salaries of these people. Salaries? Really? Just bc they came on a show, that doesn’t mean that EVERY aspect of their lives are open for knowledge, discussion, or judgment. Hell, Will is being called cheap bc he MIGHT want to take a lower paying job which would, then, keep Jasmine from having her desire for children. WTF? NONE of that has been said and probably not even discussed between THEM. The only thing we know is that Jas pulled the “man pays the bills” out and that was probably the beginning of the end. and just bc AJ and Steph are putting their money in one pot for family finances and having separate accounts for personal things, we don’t know if there will be conflict about how much each puts in the family account. There could be a 50/50, 60/40, 70/30, etc conversation on the horizon for them as well. They just didn’t do it clumsily in camera. As for Keith and Kristine, I think Keith will do whatever Kris tells him to do. He is not very Alpha male so he won’t fight for “control”. I don’t think it would take much to make him happy. Their challenge will be to find a nice home they can afford and can live happily together in. Lukewarm and Kate - he probably wanted her to pay the most so he could pay for therapy for after he slept with her. Asshole!

I don’t know why but “pin her wig back” tickled me way more than it should have. But you said the exact same thing as I did about her not playing to HIS fantasy. While we are on the subject, why did they sit on opposite ends of the table? I lived in Atlanta from ages 18-40 so I know how horrible it could be. i live in Fort Worth now - which is not as close to Dallas as people think with the whole DFW thing - but I can see how people who have things in common such that they are being matched for “legally binding marriages” move around the same spaces. I hope we get some Amber/Dave situations without the “slept with my friend” deal bc I think they really were well matched except for that “minor” thing.

Didn’t they do this during the Jephte/Shawniece season? We learned about Shawniece’s goal of saving for her salon and how Jephte spends money willy-nilly and how she was going to have to work with him. This was NOT on the honeymoon. Neither were caught off guard by the conversation. But also neither had an unreasonable/fantasy ideal that they wanted to base a brand new relationship on without having ANY idea of what each other’s goals are, what each can contribute to the marital funds, HOW each expected things to go, etc. Really and truthfully, if a man came up with “I’ll pay for it all” after a couple days I would think it was a set up.

That is a good concern. Mine is more basic: the driving distance. Isn’t “DC” really DC, Maryland, and Virginia (DMV/DC Metro area)? At least that is what the folks in my college identified as - DMV / DC Metro. Going 14 miles in the metro might take 2 hours and cost $15 in tolls one way. This can be a nightmare bc I doubt the experts will really and truthfully consider this. I didn’t watch the NY season but I hear they matched Folks in NY with people in NJ and that is damn near impossible in real life

Stacey Abrams, who ran for governor in Georgia, is my classmate at Spelman College (‘95). Clearly SHE is a prominent alumna and is young. (Shut up! 46 IS young! Lol) And guess what. Jas’s dad might agree with some of us here, that Will and Jas were a bad match and it is good they separated. And I’m sure as a grown ass man he is not that petty to try to “punish” Will. Look, as I said, this is not something that will force Will to disconnect from Lincoln for unless he wasn’t connected in the first place. And I’m sure, other than being respectful of Jas’s father as a man, Will is not afraid of what he might “do”

Negative. He isn’t going to give up his relationships at Lincoln bc of this. That is not how HBCUs work. The same way Jasmine’s father is still tied to Lincoln, Will will remain tied to the school. Nobody or nothing breaks the bond you have with your school, current students, and Alumnae/alumni. He will just have to steer clear or wave from a distance.
