  1. Four Carly-free episodes in a row this week? I think this is the first time in a decade that Carly has not had at least one weekly appearance. That character has become so toxic, that just by osmosis - every other (except for Carly Jrs) plot seems more pleasurable to watch. ymmv.
  2. Clean up your own room Joss. She has become a thing for my eyes to avoid in any of her scenes as I would rather watch props than Joss. She has become that ugly of a character.
  3. I enjoy nuMolly. She has a more mature (less whiny) approach than original Molly. NLG is doing a wonderful job with both of her new brood. I also enjoy seeing her growing older. What a delightful dinner scene with the Hamiltons. I also very much enjoyed Friday's episode which has been a foreign feeling as late (Carly/Willow stuff).
  4. Another failure of an episode that continues to state (with no explanation) that Carly 'deserves' to be in wretched Willow's inner-circle and Nina is a horrible person for being a whistle-blower. Meanwhile, the reformation of vile thug Sonny continues with him giving sage advice to Sasha and Nina. And never forget that Carly is a 'survivor' (replete with the mention of penguin-loving Morgan). However will she get on? Having five million dollars in her savings account along with another million plus in equity in the home that she was gifted - might indicate that her road might not consist of many struggles. Perhaps today's episode will feature how much charity Carly has spread upon the unfortunate in Port Charles. The last time she did any charity 'work' was when she tagged along with Joss in a place that was recycling clothes and Carly spent the time trying on clothes.
  5. Sam: "Yeah, but you were not out for personal gain." 👀 Leave Scottie alone Dante. Go pick on one of the many local mobster thugs. I was surprised to read (closed caption) that Michael remembered the name of the donor.
  6. Unless he has super genes and discipline, the lengthy rest of his career is going to be consumed with concern about bulk/weight gain. When it was first noticable, I was wondering if he was on some meds (in addition to a growth spurt) because he doesn't even look chiseled like acting student Dex. [admittedly Dex has improved a bit with his dialogue and doesn't make MB look that good in their scenes anymore] To be sure, NAC probably looks great IRL and his acting chops seem to have potential for success (action roles in a series like 'Graceland', but the competition (w/o connections) is fierce. ETA: So troubling to read that they took Ava's character down a couple of notches. Can't have Carly looking too bad to the other women in PC by comparison (e.g., Tracy using her daughter to commit corporate espionage, Olivia's husband publically disses her while Carly's partner does time for her, Anna is such a traitor that someone scrolled 'Murderer' across her front door, etc...)
  7. So she does not even have to borrow from anyone because she has 5 million in savings. She is letting her boyfriend do time for her crime. What a better show this would be without her and Sonny. Well, at least there has been a brief reprieve from Michael and Willow.
  8. Just think of how much time/energy/resources have been used these past two years on a plot about a woman not approving of her ex-husband's (with five or six divorces between them) girlfriend along with the plot about grandchild visitation rights. What a waste of screen time. This slop is further enhanced by another plot of a 20 yr-old spoiled brat wanting to be a father - which is only watchable because of a real cute baby/toddler.
  9. The writers could not resist inserting a false equivalency between a messed up young woman, early in her career working as a double spy, and a slimy monster choosing to be a vile thug for decades. Moss was MVP today. How can they give so much time to Joss? Liz just had a pretty important GH event happen and it seemed like Joss and acting student Dex had more minutes on screen. For shame Frank! Someone please remind me what was so horrible about Chase and Willow?
  10. We must have been really bad people in our previous lives. The little bit of dex/carly jr. scenes that I watch (when my index finger doesn't get on that fast-forward button quick enough) seem like watching Dex in acting class. Gotta do better than giving him new digs and some dog tags cause he looks/acts like he should be working as a waiter at Metro Court or as a parking valet. So the writers/FV have established that Michael has used Sonny's crimes as a way to get his father locked up and NOT as the primary reason to put Sonny away. The primary reason that Michael wants Sonny locked up is because he doesn't like Nina and not because Sonny is a violent thug or a criminal. I am here for Ava/Hyphen. Now that these two have been dragged into Sonny's sphere, this duo will only make that plot more bearable to watch (even though Sonny/Carly/Michael/Drew/Writers/FV will inevitably make Ava/hyphen the fall guys). These are two actors that rise above the writing and seem to enjoy working with each other.
  11. At best, he deserves to be locked up in a cell in a super-max prison cell 23 hours out of 24 each day for the rest of his life. Sonny, Carly, Drew, and Michael are CRIMINALS and not nice folks (although they might donate or support a cause). They belong in prison and not on my screen. Cam suffered more on-screen punishment than any of them. Did Oscar play the harmonica? Is that like Morgan's fondness for penguins?
  12. IIRC, the decision was down to Diane or Olivia. Both are horrible characters. (yeah but) I thought that the dialogue between Diane and Robert would have been better than watching Olivia getting her fan girl on. However, that mean-girl and ugly side of Diane that the writers/FV adroitly (imo) avoided for the past couple of months - reared its ugly head in her recent nastiness towards Nina. Because she hadn't been on much this past decade, I hadn't noticed how horrible she was basically because most of her scenes were either with Sonny/Carly. That type of spite doesn't just spontaneously occur. Carly's best friend who keeps criminals out of prison for a living is not what Robert Scorpio deserves. Robert and Anna will always gel for me and Holly as a back-up for him. There's no there - there - with Anna and Valentine. On the other-hand, at this point, I wouldn't mind Olivia having a one-nighter with Robert after she moves out of the Qs. Robert takes one for the team (LC isn't hard on the eyes) and the Qs will only be better.
  13. And where do the writers/FV send Sonny right after he proposes to marry Nina? And no, Sonny didn't run to Carly just to tell him that he's chosen to spend the rest of his life with Nina. Instead he mumbled that he'd spend the rest of his life in prison for Carly. With Sonny and Carly remaining in the forecast, nothing but rain, clouds, and fog in the forecast for Port Charles.
  14. Sad to see Sam not up to the acting challenge as she has been hiding behind the cover of the amazing Dante for quite some time. KMansi has nice biceps but the color of her nail polish ain't working. Looks like moss is enjoying the arrival of El Nino. And that partially decapitated statue in Sonny's living room always ranks a smile. Never noticed Carly's sun room before - new? Nice to see Ava's mention of Charlie's as Nina steps into the Julian role. Hopefully during their down time, the writers take some time to resolve some of their mistakes such as the following: 1. Joss and Michael with their inexplicably sudden Sonny hate. To be sure Sonny is major slime but at least provide a modicum of a scintilla of the event/circumstance in their sudden 180. 2. Why wouldn't Nina be the primary suspect in any adverse action involving Carly? 3. Having a compromised esquire repeat 'mike doesn't own stocks, so he skates' does not make it so. Micheal Corinthos held an executive level position in a public company despite embracing Sonny Corinthos - the baddest mob boss on the east coast. The Board of Directors did not have an issue? Michael's positive relationship with Sonny would never pass any muster during any mandated 3 year audit by the PCAOB especially w/r/t fiduciary certification of an audit or signing a quarterly/annual filing. Michael has been greatly harmed and compromised in his dealings with the legitimate biz world by his relationship with Sonny - THIS is what should be on my screen [eta - although CD and EM are competent soap actors - the characters need a major reboot].
  15. It would have been relatively interesting if Nina gave birth to triplets.
  16. W/R/T - HP. Wasn't Kristina let go around the same time that HP was charged with a felony? The accident happened last month.
  17. There is a fine line between being mean and bossy and being cruel. Have to hand it to the Carly clan - their scenes greatly enhance my enjoyment of watching every other single scene.
  18. **Only if Morgan does a reverse Jason Morgan - puts the gun away and pulls out the medical school books.
  19. So much to learn. Wasn't watching then - hopefully Lois had a more pleasant personality/character than Brooklynn.
  20. On at 9:02 into the episode. Phew. Olivia and Brooklyn are redundant. Ned did a lousy job of raising his daughter. JE lights up WC. EM seemed to try to give something to Dex to work with today, to no avail. At least there are new props at Dex's pad (e.g., a boat and yachting magazine) to distract me from fearing about the next story that will be given to Carly Jr. NuTrina is already loads more popular and that cannot stand. Is it legal for Dianne to represent Carly for the duration of her case when she has been on retainer to Sonny? Does Sam have a purpose on this show? Instead of firing the only actor besides the town pariah, that makes MB scenes tolerable to watch, why could not they have recasted her as Lulu. Yeah I get that the character's long lost daughter is headed for a bone marrow transplant but CW seems to be acting a bit too overboard wrt SEC as she is going to be the town pariah for quite some time. At least she gells well with DT who could use some time away from scenes with Portia and Ava has experience with providing the town pariah a bit of a sounding board. Plus Liesl has not dealt with Britt dying instead of Joss so maybe she can get off CW sooner. Then again, Nina is a relatively new character and has no immediate family, so if she is not going to play the role of the Sonny whisperer but I would miss the CW/MW drinking/thinking sessions but it is not fun watching someone get dragged through the mire repeatedly. It is so odd that with the depth and breadth of this soap, there is a fixation over the Corinthos family. There have been recent shoutouts from the writers to the quartermains, spencers, cassadines, and scorpios but nothing about the corinthos family. Then again, the Corinthos family is a relatively new family... .
  21. It seems like this was in part intentional. Ensure that a disjointed adventure plot (in a soap) is competing against the beautiful Carly Clan plot and ratchet up Sonny threatening people/stuff. It's the Carly (Corinthos) hour and don't forget it!
  22. Kristina's recent slot of appearances also were making her scenes with Sonny tolerable. CD and Amanda Setton sink scenes for this viewer, but this 'actor' playing Dex needs to attend some remedial acting courses. Great to see a healthier Emma. Really enjoyed watching the Emma and FH scenes yesterday with lackadaisical attitude. It also was a cool vibe with Jordan and Andre. I like this version of Jordan but the actress needs to lighten up a bit. It must be challenging to portray a police commissioner on a show whose leading lady snarls 'Go to Hell' to federal law enforcement officials its male lead is upset that his adopted father didn't murder his new girlfriend (his bride's mother). Scottie looked more fly than Steven A. Smith - LOVE IT!!! At least they are making an effort. Seeing that shot of an actual boat in the intro made me a little nervous that there has been a recent infusion of cash to the show and they are trying to market it to the streaming sector.
  23. I am grateful for this site as my brain was prepared to descend into the realm of cognitive dissonance in order to endure yesterday's episode on Hulu. Maxie scored an A+ on the flowers. She sure is. I was prepared for gaslighting by FV but it appeared that Ava was not so honest about 'playing devil's advocate' with the woman who ripped the child from her womb. Ava is off to seek adventure with Hyphen Holt so the town pariah can dine on crow with Curtis when Portia finds out that he has been dipping his toes in the mob scene. If I hear the family name 'Spencer' one more time. . . What a surprise it will be when Luke shows up. The only person who could ever keep him in line was Aunt Ruby. On the other hand, he is the only person the world that can throw a zinger or two at Carly without getting a look or snark thrown back at him.
  24. The money that was spent on that painting by the window in the Qs living room looks like it features bird droppings would have been better spent on providing Liesel with something more than latex gloves for protection against a pathogen capable of destroying millions.
  25. Yeah but. The whiny Cassadine and Lulu seemed to be the focus of the plot (iirc) and Nina was an afterthought. Then again, it might have not have been because Michelle Stafford's Nina earned a special spot on my fast-forward button. The rage goes to eighth notch when Carly fake smiles on that property. With half the world's population at peril, FV decides that Clan Carly takes priority. It's shameful that her sexual abuse has been swept under the rug. CW has done a bang-up job resolving the show's most glaring problem and hope that she doesn't get weary playing the town pariah/Julian. CW and MW are why I have kept watching lately. With JE back, this is a Jubilee year.
