  1. Sonny threatening women ALWAYS gets old. It is disgusting and all too frequent.
  2. Kevin never seems to have his own voice. Cannot imagine that Spencer is easy to live with.
  3. It was pleasant( for an episode) not to have to deal with the Carly/Sonny histronics which generally end up bleeding into the next scenes. Wonderful to have Genie back. And those scenes with JpS were the jam. Felicia dispensed great advice (but it's always easier to dispense than to mete it out). While Maxie's brows have improved a bit, they still stick out and could use a bit trimming of trimming and less of a severe arch. Alexis' office is expanding but am still on the fence about some of the props in her office. But how realistic is it for a judge going to voluntarily go - without counsel - to an interview at a paper called 'the Invader'? Also enjoyed Anna and Jordan scenes. They seem to work well together. I'll pull up a table of one - but ME/RH are hamming it up and their scenes brings a smile to my face even though there's not much there-there. [And I am one of the ones that routinely complains about this show's generational load balancing issues.] Meanwhile, the bump (Esme) on the highway to happiness for Trina/Spencer, doesn't seem to be headed towards a plot line soon so it'll be more months of this repetitive drivel. I liked the painting of birds hanging over Valentin's fireplace (perhaps he bought it from the avian exhibit currently on display at Ava's gallery). Nice to see GH ranked #8 on Hulu's top 15 shows.
  4. Wait. So Sonny cut his honeymoon short because of a phone call from his ex-wife. Run Nina Run. Portia is extremely watchable but only when she gets upset (her Anna convo), but just about everything else - the actress is wanting - no wonder they placed her in the hospital. Love Kristina but that yellow dress was a disaster. Glad they brought Blaze to Puerto rico for a chem test. Those were the only scenes in Puerto rico that I was able to watch. CW helped make watching Sonny tolerable.
  5. Gladys put in a solid performance. But am not
  6. Carly has first to save Ava by recognizing that lollypop slurping scum from the bar crawl/jail visit with Olivia/Ned. The mobstress will then save Drew. After that warm-up, she'll be ready. That was disturbing to watch but after the continual kid-glove treatment of the mob - it was not too surprising.
  7. There's so much more chemistry between Robert and Anna in comparison. NYC hotel rooms are compact. Gotta hand it to LW - found myself lifting my middle finger toward the idiot box during one of her scenes. Also like the color of MB's blazer. Didn't appreciate the sprucing up of moss but the worst aspect of those kitchen scenes was knowing that there will be a future flashback to Carly's tears when Sonny/Nina's marriage goes sideways. Dante/Kristina and Alexis/Hamilton Sr. were surprisingly the highlights of this week. Sam looked great and alert. Is it too much to be hopeful that the returning striking writers figure out to right-size Michael and Willow by giving those characters some empathy and compassion? Carly and Sonny are wretched characters and I can't figure out why Michael and Willow (who don't commit violent crimes) seem worse than these two?
  8. https://www.laughingplace.com/w/entertainment/general-hospital-graceland-2023/ Graceland - 10/27-10/29 Looks like another meet-and-greet to meet the Mobsters and those that perpetuate this homage to violence and crime. The only medical personnel from the cast that is listed to attend is Finn, although TJ is shown in a press photo.
  9. Glad that Chase Sr. seems to be gelling with his scene sharers (and he has some fun ones to work with) recently. I enjoyed watching the actor in other roles so I was puzzled why he didn't seem to fit in (pacing/writing) but when he was provided with this plot (ALS) - he seems to have stepped up his game. I am in awe of the patience that Chase Sr. always seems to have. No profanities/tears/feeling sorry for himself/feeling scared - etc. His SOP is to be in a 'servile' position because he will be a burden but we never seem to see him alone. ALS must be a bear to deal with psychologically so hopefully he can hook up with Kevin. Best case scenario - ALS was misdiagnosed and the cast has a solid older male actor that will not be with no ties (fingers are crossed) to the mob. I am not a fan of the music plot but am pleased that Kristina is going to be in that plot. Kate M. has been the first new actress in a decade in that age group that this viewer has enjoyed watching in just about every scene. Anyone else notice Willow's sudden fake smile to Deana when she was almost caught snooping. That was a Carly-level fake smile.
  10. He is living a life of crime in this potemkin village. This week the mob boss provides sage advice to a former spy and has the local DA provide guidance on how his ex-wife's beau might lesson his sentence.
  11. Cameron likes to light matches. IIRC - Either Aiden or Jake were also playing with matches years after Cameron burnt down the house but that arc was dropped.
  12. This episode was enjoyable to watch. What fun it is to watch institutional soap actors ply their crafts today. The writers even spared us the penguin-loving Morgan mention. At first with Carly going full speed first thing with Ava, I was thinking jeesh, can't they tone it down but she is already doing the pastel thing. But then I remembered that Carly has a legitimate gripe against Ava. 🙃 NLG works real well with Spenser. She has three plots going (Gregory, surrogate, and cassadine) and somehow Carly will seemingly end up with more screentime. While I have never liked FH's pouting fests, she ranks near the top in daytime actors in being able to move so gracefully in her scenes. JdV is no slouch in that category. EM is ok but not quite skillful enough to carry both Dex and nuTrina in their scenes. I really miss Sydney and Cam. And the Sasha,Dante, Cody, willow, Maxie, chase, Michael, Brooklyn, coven age group just are not executing their scenes much better than either Joss/Spenser 🥺. FV is doing subpar with that group. Ymmv. One-half of an episode was wasted on how dangerous figuring out who roho met in the prison (why would it not be Cyrus?). Was it so dangerous that Sonny who just dodged a life sentence at Pentonville, had to accompany Carly inside the prison. This viewer is looking forward to more cassadine shanagans than the mob stuff. Didn't Brook get stuff from the hard drive a while ago and the biz wizards let her back in. Why is she now getting fired?
  13. The local police department's softball team, celebrating after a softball game, toasts the mob boss. Plus there was the bonus of the writers showing Sonny cleverly outwitting the FBI. Nothing but blue skies for Sonny.
  14. In yesterday's episode the writers reminded us (via acting student Dex) that Sonny has principles. Despite engaging in illegal activity, Sonny's integrity and values surpass acting student Dex's world-weary experiences w/r/t the integrity and values of legitimate businessmen. Revenge-laden Portia is more entertaining to watch whining Portia. Nice to see DT finally put in a day's work (at least his scenes with Anna were ok). Maura West rocks! Those guitar-playing scenes were cringe-worthy. Someone should take that axe and microphone away from Ned but the extras in the recording studio were solid. At least there weren't any 'Tracy is a horrible person' lines of dialogue today.
  15. I hate the character of Carly so much that I wish that it was her in Ferncliff instead of Sasha. The writers are not helping either. So this lady, with 5 million in savings, just got a waterfront cafe for a buck, however will Carly survive? Shut up Joss (but nice pool outfit). I am liking this Josh Kelly hire more and more but it means that I am liking Dante less and less.
  16. Except Ned has Leo and Brooke, so... (Yes, Leo is adopted, but he is still Ned's!) AS to me is hit or miss. She is a 'miss' with Chase but not with Cody. Amanda comes across most times with the emotional range of a college student but I have also seen some glimpses of a solid soap actress. Between having Ned as her father and Tracy as her grandmother and Sonny as a fave - she must have some 'mischievous' characteristics. She's seems to continually play a victim (slashed throat of a professional singer aside) and it's time for her to get 'dirty' (and something a bit more underhanded than doing something to keep Chase singing instead of gun slinging). If they are going to keep the mob stuff, perhaps Amanda would be a better mobstress than Kristina. If Leo is offed, the wailing from Olivia and Brooke would be bad but the only folks affected would be Olivia, Ned, Brooke, Tracy and Aunt Ava. Then again, it'd be worth it to have JE and MW share some scenes planning some glorious retribution against the murderer. BTW - OMG - James (Maxie's boy) is lightning in a bottle. What a cutie and scene stealer. The new house orientation seemed to have some genuine smiles. It is enjoyable for this viewer to watch actors (KS and KW) enjoying themselves while honing their craft.
  17. While it would be easy to spot in any other actor (except for acting student Dex), MB's lack of any humiliation (or any emotion that the actor was attempting to convey) in the elevator shot - in front of his son, daughter, fiancee, and grandchild being arrested - points towards a self-set up.
  18. 'to fiddle' = disregard the law. She has no morals or concern about civics. She has no medical issues. Carly has never shown an iota of humility - other than squeezing out a tear. She has no financial issues. She has 5 million in her savings account and she can even hit up her daughter for money. Her current boyfriend is sitting in a cell behind bars for her actions. Her five-time ex is trafficking in military grade weapons and who knows what other crimes Sonny is involved with. The writing has to be skewed for other characters because of Sonny/Carly (e.g., Dante, Anna, Jordan, Chase and Scorpios). At least both Sonny and Carly scenes are currently on different days as Sonny (at the very least) doesn't pretend that he isn't a felon. I miss Scottie (and Liesl).
  19. This episode was one of a handful that did not have a certain segment of Port Charles. Much more pleasurable to watch. Not a fan of the new writers and the old writers treatment of Tracy, but just grateful to see her on the screen. It is enjoyable watching new actors try to craft their characters and Cody, Kristina, and Jordan are doing a good job of meshing in.
  20. It is hard to watch Emo Anna for more than one episode, especially in the same episode where the writing continues to support its leading character - who is a violent mobster. ymmv.
  21. Still an episode or two behind but - The envelope scenes with Deena, Liz and Finn brought smiles to my face. I enjoy watching actors who rise above the script/scenes and that is what Liz, Finn, Laura - heck most of the veterans do - day in and day out. Ava and Roho have been extremely enjoyable to watch dance around for the past couple of months waiting for their characters to finally have their plot - front and center (and after all this waffling - they might get a couple of episode to shine before the writing/screen time tip back to the mob boss and the mean queen of Port Charles. The stuff that I can't abide by is the gaslighting (e.g., Michael splaining that his mother spiraling in and out of CHAOS when Sonny died). However, much like Nina was at one time Sonny's whisperer, it seems that Kristina is doing the same with Michael. Fingers are crossed that it continues as siblings. The guy grew up with father/brother figures of a mob kingpin and his enforcer so Michael does need to evolve - and not as a Carly Jr. And I am fine with Michael doing some office work but what was with Willow complementing that Michael is being 'devious' for picking up the slack while Ned and Drew are unable to work? It's what most people do naturally when their co-workers (let alone relatives) are ill or unable to perform their normal functions. It also seems like Sam is trying to find her way. Fingers are crossed. Cody and Brooklyn gel together much better than Chase and Brooklyn. Sasha should have been the one stuck with Michael as she has more of a backbone than Willow. But I am pleased that this age-group is starting to get its act together.
  22. Yesterday's scenes with Kristina and Michael were the most 'alive' and engaged that CD has seemed in quite some time and props go towards nuKristina for that positive. I can't stand the actress playing nunuMolly (it's not that she is a bad actress - she's a bit uptight joss-style). Of course, it's the first time in seemingly the last decade that Molly stars in her own plot. #sigh. These new writers are a vast improvement - especially in moving plots forward. They seem to be slowly ratcheting back the 'Carly is awesome' choir.
  23. Just saw the nuMolly II. Didn't know that they got rid of nuMolly I. NuMolly II is worse than the NuMolly I but she has a better chemistry with Sam than nuMolly I. But nuKeistina is like a young Mary Louise Parker and that is a good thing (though I feel horrible about fv firing Lexi🤬).
  24. Hadn't seen yesterday's episode before writing and of course, he delivered one of his best performances to date. But he comes across as stiff and it feels like he's a 'guest' on the show instead of someone like Vernee Watson (Aunt Stella) who is able to mesh in. And he doesn't 'gell' with his tv sons. That being typed, I still prefer to watch his scenes than any with MB/Carly/Carly Jrs/.
  25. What waste? He's been on for over a year and given top-tier B level actress (NLG) as a partner and a family and a deadly illness. IMHO, he has failed.
