That's funny, because this was my latest post on Facebook. (Forgive me, but I don't know how to directly link to posts) Maybe Rachel is going to have a surprise roast for Kellyanne? I mean, not like the guy she supported was above that.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure - General Discussion
Lantern7 replied to Meredith Quill's topic in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure
So . . . we're done with the first edition, "Phantom Blood." Whom did you like? For some reason, I keep coming back to Robert E.O. Speedwagon, who looked badass for one episode, sworn loyalty to Jojo, and didn't do much else besides nicking Zepelli's hat and destroying the (first) mask. Then he died like a punk in the opening episode of "Battle Tendency." But he did get some choice lines. "I can read people like a book, and these two [Tarukus and Bluford] are full of stories Speedwagon don't wanna hear, thank you kindly!" ETA: I know villains can be more hammy than Dio, but damn, he didn't need the mask and supernatural powers to be an asshole. Like, "I am humiliating precious Jonathan at boxing! And while no one is observing, I will drive my thumb in his eye!! And later, I'm going to suck his girlfriend's lips until I am the only thing she can taste!!! Hey, in this day and age, and with the target audience of this anime, that is basically the most evil thing I can think up!!!" -
Two notes: 1. Poking around the AS schedule . . . it looks like The Boondocks will be airing on Sunday nights at 12:30, starting with "The Garden Party." If you want to watch or rewatch and post around it, here you go. 2. Found this on YouTube. I posted it on the SuperMansion forum, which is barren as hell. Dunno if these are new episodes or stuff from Crackle.

Cute. None of the puppies thought to bite Pipsqueak. And speaking of Too Cute, I think Animal Planet will be recycling segments starting January 1. Talking about LittleKuriboh yesterday . . . he dropped a new episode of Yu-Gi-Oh Abridged today. Gotta love Kaiba going way the hell over the top.
-
Good news: "Premieres" are listed on AnimalPlanet.com for January 1. Bad news: the titles are "Super Pups: Pint-Sized" and "Graceful Giants: Pint-Sized," which leads me to believe they're recycling footage for one breed for a half-hour. Also, at 8:01: We Love Puppies. That should be new and cute as heck.

Today, after the Futurama block, Comedy Central will be burning through all of the South Park Christmas specials, as well as the last two episodes from 2014. I don't think those count, but it is set around Christmas, and Santa Mr. Hankey a very special guest shows up to save the day. That's as close as Matt & Trey will get these days.
-
I thought it was Ed Asner. Shows me to assume, right? Will there be a new episode on Friday? Maybe Wonder Woman's hair will have stayed in one place by then. And Swamp Thing is JLA? Had to be a guest shot.

From Change.org: Support the TRUMP Act. Notice that I spelled out the name, so you know it's an acronym I don't mind typing. Not nearly as scathing as the "PENCE" plan combatting "conversions," but still a nice touch.
-
In case you didn't see the date, the episode will not be airing tonight. Also, this isn't the finale, so we will be spilling into 2017. Oh, joy. "On the twelfth day of Christmas, the person that supposedly loved me gave to me . . . twelve cast members I couldn't care less about . . ."

Political Humor: Videos, Articles, Jokes & Memes
Lantern7 replied to Kromm's topic in Current Events & Politics
This is what I'm contributing to Facebook over the events since November 8. Needless to say, I consider myself mostly as two small children stacked on top of each other, trying to pass as an adult. Also, I channeled another "madman" whom we haven't seen this year. I forgot to add a few gags, but I think my message is clear, and I'm going to try and follow that. ETA: Is there a reason why all of the messages I've written with that hashtag are not showing up? I'm not that bothered, but I am puzzled. -
I liked the preceding credits ("Jungle P"). I especially dug everybody (except for Robin) freaking the hell out over Brook. Bonus: Gratuitous English! "LIFE IS ADVENTUROUS!!!"
-
I mentioned Sparky the Penguin a few weeks ago. He pops up here at the end of This Modern World.

Here's a dog's toy coming to life. I'm sure you've seen it, but maybe you haven't. The look on that dog's face? Beyond priceless. I swear, I do not always try to break stuff down to areas I like. But . . . I've heard that song because LittleKuriboh uses it in the "credits" for his abridgements of "Season Zero" of Yu-Gi-Oh! Take a look. I think it's a perfect fit for Yugi. ETA2: The golf clip is off of Instagram. Luckily, YouTube provides.

Forgot it again at 8. Watched at 11. While I found the season to be very time-filler, the finale was stellar. Undefeated MIT and Wisconsin kept their records pristine after the first races. MIT loses their first race by .01 seconds, but they win the next two to advance to the championship relay. Wisconsin sweeps, including one victory won by .09 seconds. In the final round, MIT takes a two obstacle lead, but Wisconsin narrowed the gap, and they narrowly beat MIT to win the Bronze Buzzer. That is a thing now. Also, I'm pretty sure the final leg caused Matt and Akbar to come, piss and shit their pants.

This is where I couldn't see any more of Thriller Bark on DVD from the library. How can I tell? New credits! Since Toonami will likely cut it down to size when the show returns, here is the remix of "We Are!" (the original theme song) for the anime's tenth anniversary, with a callback to their farewell salute to Princess Vivi: In brief: Oars is down. Oars is back up. The Straw Hats recover from their severe beatings to put Oars back down. The crew and the Rolling Pirates try to figure how to "convince" Moriah to return their shadows, especially with the sun coming up soon and half the main cast finding their lives endangered. Not only does Moriah not return what he stole, he swipes the shadows of everybody around him (pirates, zombies, Straw Hats) to power up to nine times Nightmare Luffy. This begs the question: if he could do that from the beginning, why didn't he start with that? Because he's friggin' lazy, that's why. We'll see how that works for him when Toonami returns to normal on January 7.

Sorry about the lack of wait. First up, there's this clip from Instagram that made Around The Horn and Pardon The Interruption. No animals, but it does make me laugh. I'm easy like that. Like pork-filled piranhas The boys want to play with Yin-Dee (I think they're isolated from her for health reasons) Danny Boy's puppies play, fight, be chubby Cuppy Pugdashian poses, looks old Duncan's back!!! (I was a little worried about his absence) Festive Duncan

Season One Talk: FFwSB
Lantern7 replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in Full Frontal With Samantha Bee
There was. Sam will be back on Wednesdays in January. I just hope she can keep her sanity intact. By contrast, John Oliver will have a longer break when he comes back to HBO. -
Read in the Daily News that the Mets are/were pursing McCutchen. I do not want to know that, and I'm a casual fan. Imagine riding and dying with the team, and then the prospect of a top-flight player on the team comes into view. Who needs that? Besides, if he did play for the Mets, he'd be respectable, but nowhere near as good as with the Pirates.

I kinda miss Beck, mostly because Jon Stewart kicked him around so well. Nice that he seems to be coming around a little. If you vomited in your mouth seeing the "Strange Bedfellows" cake, I would not blame you. -
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure - General Discussion
Lantern7 replied to Meredith Quill's topic in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure
I figured that Jojo and Irina didn't have time for intimacy ("Look! There is a rainbow on the horizon!" "Oh, Jonathan! Do with me what you'd want upon it!!") between the wedding and the ship. Also, I get the same weird thing in my head about how Bulma could have survived intercourse with Vegeta. At least Chi Chi was the daughter of Ox King, so she was physically strong to put up with Goku. "Jojo! Lad, I heard a scream and- . .. corr blimey!!! Why is the room full of blood and innards, yet you look unscathed physically?!? Is it that rotter Dio??!? I'll shake my fist menacingly at him so hard!!!" At least Speedwagon did this right. It wasn't his fault that it took him fifty years to find a tree in Mexico where the damn masks grew like apples. Or that the surviving student of Tonpetty turned out to be a Dio groupie. -
In case you're coming in late: 1. Itachi is dead. Really, really dead. He manages to tell his little brother something before keeling over, but we don't hear it. 2. The Leaf ninjas try to snare Tobi. Since he's way more than meets the eye, he evades capture. 3. Shino is still pissed off that he wasn't part of the original Sasuke Retrieval Team. Dude, take it up with Tsunade and Shikamaru; she gave him about ten minutes to assemble a squad. Not his fault he couldn't find you. 4. Kekkashi figures out Tobi has a Sharrigan. Crapping of the pants ensues. 5. The Akatsuki take Sasuke and Itachi's corpse to their hideout. Tobi tried to play up his entrance, but then a power-up Itachi gave Sasuke activates, and Tobi gets enveloped in black flame. Apparently, Itachi didn't want One Eye Mask Guy to get ahold of his brother. 6. Karin still likes Sasuke that way.

Speaking of "Game Recognize Game" . . . . look who's sold what passes for a soul to You-Know-Who! Republicans will stick up for each other no matter what, as long as those on the left get it in the A. ETA: Found the article on Facebook. I liked the accompanying quote: "Will this evil old fucker EVER die???"
-
I'd probably go back to 2000, let Al Gore know about the trap in Florida. I've been channeling the president-elect on Facebook, and I recently had him pardoning Hillary, since "game recognize game." And, once again, she couldn't go to Guantanamo because she'd take it over. In other news: fuck you, Newt, on general principle. May divorce be with you.

Called it. Between the lack of enthusiasm over the other options and the rash of dumbass nicknames prevalent recently in the minors, of course they would remain "Yankees."
