  1. Yet the two gymnast wins are "too much" the fans say! HAHA
  2. True, but I think there's most of the times the woman are the shocker eliminations and how many times do women win yet they are the only woman left in the top 4 or top 3. Most of the time women get picked off until one or two are left. Sometimes that one left wins, but the women in general, not just winning get the most bad treatment,.
  3. Males in general have the bigger fanbases usually and are usually the inferior dancers, so thats where my dislike of mostly any male celeb comes from. They don't lead, they get backled, the woman stars have to do way more and flashy, complicated moves and they get ripped to shreds online.
  4. This isn't a woman hating show, but this was a woman hating season. Heather- 8th Nancy- 6th Simone-4th Normani- 3rd
  5. The season's theme: if you have dance talent and are a woman, you won't even make the top 2. Odds of a woman ever winning soon just shot down if David can make 2nd place? Worst runner up?
  6. Normani would've excelled more if her Jazz dance last week was their freestyle instead. But Rashad was going on tour, it was written in the stars already for her to lose.
  7. Personally I would've rather had Normani's redemeption style be Rumba. I would've liked to see a real one without 5H in the background singing.
  8. It was the same thing last season when Laurie got Paso, arguably her worst dance and James got Foxtrot something he excelled at and continually avoided the party Latin dances. Granted, she still won, but this is part of the manipulation factor. Len was never going to give Val's Quickstep a 10. I suspect Rashad is Julianne favorite and he had so many styles he didn't excel at to improve on. But part of picking it was to start the winners edit narrative for him. Perfect 80, pimp spot, judges going nuts, and he'll likely dance his fusion last too tomorrow and then they will proclaim he's going on the DWTS tour and then we will know Normani lost for sure. Yes, it's heavily manipulated for the women sometimes and they do need extra help now and then because of how lopsided the voting can be towards the men. If TPTB let the show go organically without editing or manipulation in 24 seasons we likely would've had 5 or 6 female winners tops. The men get a certain narrative or manipulation and nobody bats an eye. That's my point in a nutshell. A mediocre female celeb will never win (in the sense of not on top of the leaderboard, constantly snagging 10's, someone seen as an undeserving winner generally) but I can name a number of mediocre male celebs who snagged a win (Helio, Nyle, Donald, Donny to name a few) Yet she didn't get a perfect score, so it's moot point. If she did, yes, but they already put her as a disadvantage tonight.
  9. People screamed of manipulation all season for various reasons. Yet no one is mentioning anything about Rashad? 1. He got his first two pimp spots in the only weeks that voting mattered for the winner. 2. He got the only redemption style that he already excelled at. 3. Judges ignored out of sync moments in his freestyle. I guarantee you if Normani danced last, last week and tonight and got say an Argentine Tango or Paso for redemption, and got a perfect score despite mistakes, the internet would collectively scream "it's fixed, they want her to win it's so obvious", but when it happens to Rashad or any male celeb, it's as quiet as a church mouse. SMH
  10. My point was in general the male celebs get away with murder on this show. Often getting good points, good treatment (packages, spot in the dance order, etc), for smiling and charisma. A talented female celeb comes along and does great, dances well, relates to viewers and it's "ugh, she's so annoying, I don't like her, she seems bitchy, of course she dances last, the judges love her". But if a man gets lower scores it's "why are they nitpicking him, etc" This season was a perfect example of how the general public watching hates on talented female celebs. One by one they got cut in favor of far less superior men. How Bonner and David even made it this far is beyond my comprehension. Rashad has gotten comments on his feet and technique. Well that's because it was always an issue. The treatment tonight was mostly based on less than favorably towards Normani and the sudden shift for Rashad. In the sense of giving him a "redemption" style that he already excelled at and ignoring some mistakes, out of sync issues in his freestyle. He got the winners edit tonight when he never had before. The sudden shift in the narrative just seemed very offputting to me.
  11. Comments like that are exactly why it's 100% harder for female celebs in general. Men win for looks, charm, and women work 200 million times harder and nitpicked to death for everything.
  12. PureDWTS is living right now and I can't handle their celebration that'll occur tomorrow. I swear Val ran over their puppy or something. They have this intense hatred for him and any partner he has. Rashad had many 2 standout weeks this whole season so he'll win because of that I guess?
  13. Normani is done. She's 3 points behind Rashad, only time someone won like that was Nyle over Paige and he was only 2 points down. Everyone gets a congratulations 40 tomorrow so that won't change. I hate the tour, hate it, hate it. It's always of you're on it, you're gonna win, if you're not, you're gonna lose. Sick of it! I'm a dance lover and love seeing good dancing and i'm sorry that 95% of the time, it's from female celebs and this season in particular ruined any hope I had of this season being good or the right person winning.
  14. It's still ridiculous that they offed a point for costuming, yet Julianne gave David and Normani a 9. Not to mention the overall edit Rashad got was that of a winner. "he's never won anything in his life?", please! He won a spot on an NFL team! Gimme a break. Hopefully tomorrow's result and this season in general shuts up the "omg, female ringers, nooooooo" audience and shows that they don't win.
  15. Disgusted by how Normani was treated tonight. They put her in the middle between two high produced freestyles, both of David and Rashad got out of sync with the troupe at times but they both got "good for you that was fun" 40's. Normani gets knocked 2 points for her Quickstep for her outfit? So they basically said, if you wore a skit I wouldn't have mentioned anything and given you a 10. She gets the only style that truly needed a redemption and David got another standard Ballroom dance that he's basically been doing all season, and Rashad got a style that got a tied top of the leaderboard in week 2? Where's the redemption in that? Yes, please tell me how it's rigged for Normani and TPTB is pulling for her to win? Please, enlighten me.
  16. Honestly if you can't get to the finals with the most decorated gymnast in history over a dad dancer, he'll never make the final. Poor Sasha.
  17. I'm sick of this "going on tour means winning stuff". Alek Skarlatos went on tour and didn't win. Bindi won and didn't go on tour. Rashad will be a weak winner when you stack him against other winners IMO. I'd be surprised if Normani won as much as she deserves it. The voting public just hates any talented female, it's a wonder some have managed to win. Example: the hatred towards Normani/Nancy/Simone/Heather all season, but David is just a swell ole guy who got through the dances, right?
  18. This season had so much promise of great dancing and ever since Heather's elimination, it's been gut punch after another. I can't and also can believe David made the finale over Simone. They nitpicked her to the crap for weeks, all the while praising David for "getting through the dance" and they acted surprised when she's cut? Normani better end this season well and win because she's the only one worthy of being considered a DWTS champ
  19. I think season 5 was when TPTB was actively trying to get a female star to win, up to that point only Kelly won season 1 and 2,3,4 were won by men and some of those seasons had the top female celeb placing 4th or 3rd. Cue season 5 which brought in the likes of Mark and Derek and celebs like Jennie, Mel B, and Sabrina all of which had previous experience. It was also the first season that allowed the female stars to start with a Latin routine. Up till then, all the female started with Ballroom and the males with Latin. When season 5 started to continually self implode on the women stars (Sabrina's shocker, Marie's constant drama taking her to 3rd place and knocking out better dancing Jennie, and then Maks epically screwing up Mel's freestyle), TPTB decided season 6 had to have a women win. So cast a hugely popular and loved ringer, Kristi and pair her with Mark who was coming off the heels of his huge debut with Sabrina, and all the men were duds and the most popular one (Jason Taylor) give him a pro thats never made the final and the other women not as much as experience or fanbase as Kristi and it was a perfect storm and that started the castalyst of females winning (Brooke and Shawn right after, break for Donny and then Nicole and Jennifer, etc).
  20. I'd be wary of Normani needing help if the dances she's getting 10's on didn't seem to warrant them, but her last 3 dances (Argentine Tango, Contemporary, and Jive) have been absolutely. If anything, Len seemed to make up something to not give her 3 back to back perfect scores. Now if she danced last again and they gushed about dances that didn't feel like 10's, I'd be worried. But I think maybe she is doing well in votes. My theory of who they wanted to win starts at Week 1. Normani opened the show and got a 27/40 while Simone closed the premiere with the highest score of the night. Eventual winners usually close the show on the premiere (see Rumer, Alfonso, Laurie, etc). I think the show initially wanted Simone to win and once Normani reallt began coming alive in Week 2 and 3, notice how the scores slid for Simone and the critiques got more critical while Normani got better placement in the show, better scores and more "winner" type feedback. I think maybe Normani was getting lots of votes and Simone wasn't getting the type they expected so around Week 2 and 3 TPTB switched to Normani as their pick. Don't get me wrong I think Simone still gets lots of votes (she's called safe 1st or second and never in jeopardy), and tonight was maybe the beginning of trying to knock her down and bring some space between her and Normani.
  21. I think most fans were griping about her not opening up and I think this dance was a perfect time for that to open up about something tough for her. I remember this from following 5H's career and it was nasty. Contemp is a free pass, but emotion is so integral to it and she really exceeded there. I don't ever think she's been overscored the whole season or given unjust 10's. Kym and Sharna have said she's one of the best female celebs ever and I'd agree. She's a great technical dancer, but also a great actress and performer. I never worry about her messing up or not performing and seeing a female celeb with that technique and performance combo is fascinating to see seeing as most female celebs are one or the other.
  22. Normani is so clearly ahead of everyone else with her dances. I mean the girl is probably the best technical dancer left but she's such an great performer? Everyone got on her case about "not knowing her story" and she opens up about a tough time and the people say how it's fixed and of course she gets Contemporary? What about when Rashad used Contemporary to talk about something emotional? Was it fixed then? I wouldn't have been mad at either David or Bonner leaving. Part of me wanted David cause I think she's a Bill Engvall type of robber who could easily kick out someone good next week and make the final, especially have him dance last tonight. There was something odd about Simone's critiques tonight; all season they've been kind to her, granted underscoring her mostly but tonight it was like "hammer dropped". Neither dance tonight was perfect but it was a weird time to drop the hammer. Either they are setting up a comeback week for her next week or she's not doing as well as the beginning in votes and are prepping for a 3rd or 4th place finish to make sense to the viewers.
  23. James Hinchcliffe wasn't boring, but he was severely overrated by the judges. Calling him the best male ever on the show, calling him unstoppable, fanning themselves after a Viennese Waltz super light on content, I could go on. Knowing now that Laurie won even with James going last on the finals and reminding us again of his sob story, she still won, leading me to believe the show hyped up James to make it look like Laurie had competition. YMMV. Normani and Simone need to make the finals. Losing Heather and Nancy back to back was disheartening and Bonner and David need to go next.
  24. The hate for talented female celebs on this forum is a pure reason why Nancy and Heather are gone while David and Bonner remain. Normani earned the immunity. She had the best dance tonight by far. She had props? Um, everyone did! She didn't have extra dancers and Val gave her authentic Argentine Tango choreography which she pulled off effortlessly. She never missed a step, it's amazing seeing people saying it to justify the overall hatred for talented female celebs. The types of females who win are the ones the women in the 18-45 age bracket vote for (the cute, bubbly little sister/daughter types). The fact that some women like Brooke, Nicole, and Rumer won still astound me.
  25. I think Nancy is the most vulnerable woman left now. I can't see Normani or Simone not making the final, so she could use the immunity more than them. Then again, in all the seasons with immunity, only two ended up winning. (Kellie and Amber)
