  1. The episode was just ok for me. Parts of it were excellent, parts were annoying. All the machinations to keep Penny at the party were ridiculous. Penny is an adult. She could have just gotten up and left at any time. She could have insisted that all of the fools talking over her shut up so she could explain that she had to leave immediately. I hate Amelia. Hate. I seem to have an aversion to the actress. But I felt for her in this episode. She was being fairly insufferable, but she had the right to be upset. Meredith knew it would be problem for Penny's connection to Derek's death to come out. Of course Amelia was going to have a strong and horrified reaction. Why does husband trump brother? Why does Meredith get to say, "well he was my husband. so you don't get to talk or to be upset. We fucked and could get divorced at any time. So that clearly trumps brother on every possible level"? Why does one get to be more devastated than the other? I didn't really like Meredith's actions in this episode. And shutting the door in Callie's face? Derek didn't die two days ago. He died a year and some change ago. We've all been through terrible grief, you hopefully get to a point after a year where you don't wantonly trample over those close to you in your despair. I basically didn't pay attention to Maggie and her hot intern. Are they always going to be the comic relief couple? And dammit, if Maggie knows she's prone to UTIs, she needs to be taking reasonable precautions after sex. I didn't want to punch April in the face this episode. Success. Jackson seems to be wavering on the April front. I need him to be strong. She's a terrible wife who only thinks of herself. The writers are really trying to make Cross happen. I loved Stephanie's incisive deconstruction of Jo. She took her down! Right when Jo was lulled in a sense of sisterhood. I didn't have an issue with anything she said. All the evidence put before us is that Stephanie is smart and works her ass off. Jo bitches to her boyfriend and looks annoyed all the time. Instead of recognizing and respecting that Stephanie is just better than her, she's spinning her wheels. That's unfortunate because the only way to catch up to people who are better than you at something is to acknowledge it and then use it to work harder.
  2. Ok, I know the show isn't going to last long enough to develop this, but doesn't it seem increasingly more likely that Agatha is the true villain of the show? That woman has the demeanor of serial killer who is toying with her victims and everyone is her victim. But that just seems to be how she talks and just her face. Even when she was ostensibly merely letting Arthur know about her concerns, she still seemed like a creep. I remember that satisfied smirk she had as she got Tom Cruise's cousin killed in the last episode. They were probably planning on her turning bad in season 2. I do like Arthur and Vega together. Dash is just bland with everyone. This is the best acting I've seen out of Nick Zano. I don't like the styling of Megan Good on this show. Those painted on eyebrows are terrible and that wig they've stuck on her head is not the most flattering. She's always and forever a beautiful woman, this style just isn't working for me.

I'm so disappointed in Deanna and her chickenshit son. They need to sit all the way down. They need to let the Rictatorship happen. Because sitting around and looking scared is weak as fuck. I see why the writers decided to have Rick embark on this doomed zombie herding mission. It got almost all the badasses out in the field, leaving the town unprotected. Suspicious timing, I'd say. Enid or someone had to have tipped the Wolves off. What the hell is wrong with the Wolves? Do they really want to be the only 20 people left alive in the US? When does that get fun? Are they like the Westboro Baptist Church? They think it's their mandate from God to cause as many problems as possible for the people left alive? (We all know that if there ever was a real zombie apocalypse the Westboro Church would turn all Wolvesy on us on by the third day.) Morgan having Dr. Phil time with all the Wolves was annoying. I don't fault Ron for being annoyed with his mother and generally being angry. Teens are angry, hormonal creatures under the best of circumstances. But I draw the damn line at him refusing safety just because some girl he likes, but doesn't know, is "flirting" with someone else. Focus. Some dude just tried to machete you to death a block away from your house.
  4. Right? He was talking nonsense, but I think I'd like to try to get info about the crazed hobos who were killing everyone. But, I get Carol basically being like "ain't nobody got time for that." They were in an emergency situation and that man was five shades of crazy.
  5. Damn you Morgan. We were so close. Didn't we almost have it all.
  6. OK. That was awesome. I didn't know Blonde Hairdresser Lady had it in her.
  7. Uh oh. Crazy Carl is back. He will personally murder every one of those people.
  8. Carol says stop smoking. You fucking stop smoking. That's it.
  9. Wow we haven't gotten this level of background info on anyone this early on in their stay. Has Darryl gotten any flashbacks?
  10. I enjoyed this episode. I stopped caring about Meredith and Derek a long time ago. Probably during the Bush years. So I'm ok with Meredith moving on, emotionally. I agree that it would be weird to see her banging some intern in an office at the hospital this season. It is a terrible cliche and has been done to death on this show, but I loved Maggie and DeLuca. That man is hot! I saw him with his shirt off and I said damn! Ok. Sorry about that. I just needed to get it out. The actor playing DeLuca did a good job of showing his good-natured bemusment to Maggie's high-school girl freak out. When she was yelling at him about boundaries and glitter, he just had this "she is trippin'" look on his face. I want them to stop characterizing Maggie like such a crazy person. That last scene with DeLuca was hot. She is a good looking woman when they are making her contort her face because she is losing her shit over some dumb thing that no one cares about. I didn't mind the sudden backstory on Stephanie. She has not received a lot of attention. Jo definitely had more attention earlier, so it's ok for me if Stephanie gets some attention now. Jo's attempt at snitching was not cool. She'll probably be a total jerk to Stephanie for the next several episodes.
  11. This show. I'm really trying, but it is so dull. Was I supposed to be invested in Lincoln's whiney ass? It's like the writers just decided to completely change his character. It's only been 6 months, not 15 years. I'm interested in the FitzSimmons story, but it feels like a retread of last year. Instead of Fitz having ptsd and a tbi, we have Jemma freaking out about her time off-planet. I like these two actors and it's a good dynamic. But one that feels familiar. I refused to pay attention to any scene with Hunter and May pursuing Ward. I just can't!
  12. Nicholas is totally Team Glen now. Wow. This man has some kind of undeniable charisma. He can turn mortal enemies into trusted lieutenants. I just can't believe he would actually trust Nicholas to not freak out and run away. I'm sure we'll see why he changed in one of the old timey flashbacks.
  13. Do these walkers seem like they have a little more hustle to them? They seem to be walking kind of fast.
  14. I'm already over Morgan's stick-fu. I'm so happy the show is back. Fear the Walking Dread was boring as fuck. But if I'm fair, sometimes this show can be boring as fuck too. These black and white flashbacks are killing me. I feel like Atticus Finch should show up talking about Tom Robinson. What the hell caused that traffic jam of walkers? That is the craziest shit I've ever seen.
  15. That was a nice ending shot of water. I thought to myself, they can't possibly end with us staring at water. I was wrong. I'm interested in this whole yacht situation. I've been interested in the idea of getting out on the water for a long time. I don't know why the Atlanta crew isn't on a boat by now. But I guess it's hard to base several seasons of story on people arguing on a boat. Which is why I have no doubt that the entire next season of this show will focus on that. Why couldn't Liza just wait a bit. No one had to shoot a living and somewhat healthy woman in the head. Why couldn't they just chill until she died? Chris is going to be insufferable next season. Andy sucks. He should have shot Salazar. Bitch move, shooting Ofelia. Also, I call bs on that even happening. I don't care how pissed you are, no one is wading through a herd of walkers on the off chance they can run into their enemies in all the chaos. Stupid.
  16. You know, we all got that Nick had basically zombie apocalypsed himself with heroin. We didn't need him to tell us that he feels prepared to deal with this new world because he's always been there. I thought they did a good job at suggesting this in past episodes.
  17. Andy knows that Salazar tortured him into helping to kill a whole lot of people. I get it. I'd be pissed too. But it was a bitch move to shoot Ofelia. And to even go back around those people. He really hung around on the off chance that they didn't all die in this disaster? He laid in wait, all "I hope they all come back. And then I'll shoot Ofelia. Yeah. That's much better than getting the fuck out of this death trap." I loved the shocked and horrified looks on everyone's faces when Travis lost his shit. This is the new world, folks. No one needs an English teacher when the dead are walking the earth and most humans left are assholes. Did Travis turn into a wildman and perhaps go too far? Maybe. But if anyone was going to lay an epic beatdown on Andy, it had to be Travis. Letting Andy go may be his last act of compassion.
  18. Well, that man is wearing that suit! Damn that's a fine suit!
  19. I feel bad for Percival. It sounded to me like he had a very legit reason to want to murder Regina right in her stupid face. But of course, we're supposed to be ok with him being run through and everyone basically being like "fuck that guy". Why did the writers think we wanted to see Henry have a love interest? No one wants to see that. No one cares. I'm disappointed by how dull Emma is as the Dark One. She seems more like she has a headache and people won't stop talking to her. I kind of want Hook to stop whining about Savior Emma and to get on board with evil Emma. He was a villain a lot longer than he was a hero. I'm not even saying he has to be up to no good. He could just be evil adjacent and hang out with evil Emma.
  20. This! It makes no sense. No one who had banged a young teen, then convinced her to get an abortion which directly lead to her death would have joined the FBI. He may have been joining out of guilt, trying to be helpful. But the second he realized that he would be getting polygraphed more than once, that dude would have been out. Out! In regards to Alex Parrish's name, I don't believe the producers are to blame. I can't find the exact article, but I know I read somewhere that Priyanka Chopra didn't want to change the name. They did want to reflect her heritage in the name. She didn't. I did find this article. I'm not familiar with the publication, but it seems legit. She seems to have experienced racism when she was in America in her teens and wants to dispel Indian stereotypes in Western culture. I appreciate that the producer respected her choice, even if I don't entirely agree with it. This show was really a mixed bag for me. I honestly started to fast forward through some of it. As soon as Alex started showing off her post-coital intuition I started rolling my eyes. That is such a lame cliche. If she knows so damn much, why didn't she pick up on the fact that he was a sketchball who was sent to keep tabs on her? Speaking of Agent CarSex, why? Why, dammit? If she is suspected of something, why they hell would you teach her to fight, shoot, and manipulate? Why would you help her become a better terrorist/shady character? That reveal made me side eye the whole show. I agree that Grey's Academy would have been more interesting. Why should we get invested in any of the characters in the stupid flashbacks now that we know that one or more of them is a terrorist? If anything, they should have made the whole episode at the Academy and just ended with this flash forward. It would add drama, but wouldn't stick us with this lame Beautiful Fugitive nonsense.
  21. While I agree that the way the military is being portrayed is awful, I do give the writers a little leeway. We all know how the military would most likely act in emergencies. But the dead rising to eat the living is so batshit crazy that I'm not convinced that soldiers could just fall back on their training and maintain calm. There would be a lot of implications for some people about this that would change the shape of their world, beyond the zombie conundrum. If you were religious, maybe zombies makes you believe that there can't possibly be God in existence. Or maybe you think it is the end of times and you just want to focus on getting right before the Messiah returns. This may cause the agnostics and atheists to become believers. None of this has been portrayed in the show. But I could see with this unprecedented species ending event going on, that the few people left in the military wouldn't be acting like they would during the war in Afghanistan or any other more normal military engagement. I don't have a huge problem with Alicia and Chris hooking up. Let me be clear. I don't want to see it. I don't. But I'm not opposed to it in theory. They aren't related. They didn't even grow up together. In the normal run of things it would be a bit weird. But in this situation, he will be one of few boys around her own age that she isn't related to or isn't a rotting corpse. I'm not mad if Alicia decides to get down with the get down. Grizelda was acting super creepy before she died. Was she calling Daniel the devil/demon? I couldn't tell. She certainly is in it up to her eyeballs in regards to his shady ass past.
  22. I actually appreciated that scene. They were being little shits, but I got it. I think the writers were trying to show the moment that those two really broke with civilization. Earlier in the episode, Travis actually bothered to yell at Chris for disrespecting Madison. Like this was the old days where Chris could be grounded for telling Madison to shut the hell up.Here was two good kids just saying "screw this" and breaking into a neighbor's house just to snoop through their things. I think they both realized that none of the old rules applied. That happy, rich family is dead. They probably got eaten while attending some kind of celebrity golf tournament. I'm so frustrated that we are always skirting around the edges of more interesting things on this show. Nick has some kind of charisma that is unstoppable. Are we sure that zombies even want to eat him? Maybe they just want to be close to him. I couldn't believe that his cellmate actually thought Nick was worth saving. Maybe he was just waiting for someone to get put in there that had so many other things going on that the ZA wasn't too upsetting. I see why he had to get rid of that crying man. You can't really plot a prison break with a hysterical man wailing in the background. Daniel has officially lost my business with his unnecessary torture. I hate torture. The fact that this has been his jam before is not ok. Shawn Hatosy was willing to cooperate and he still cut him. I know he may have been holding back info on Cobalt, but still. I'm sick of Daniel's speeches about the lawless post-zombie hellhole he lived in years ago before coming to the US.
  23. But that would be against the clear "show them nothing interesting" mandate. They have been zombie adjacent since the first episode! They were never going to show something cool like the motorist attacking first responders, the fall of the hospital, or whatever went down in that library.
