The ability to just search for Josh Duggar pretty much confirms that he was on the site for real - because it's associated with his credit card information and addresses. I'm not sure why the hackers that created the torrents would have thrown Josh under the bus. I also don't know if there is a look up developed on the dark web, from what I read all that was made available by the hackers themselves were the torrents. HFC, I would imagine that just like all dating sites that location is something that you would have in your profile. In Josh's OK Cupid profile he had Alexandria, VA. The dark web is full of good and bad, lots of hackers, selling of stolen personal data (for identify theft along with credit card numbers, passwords, etc) from hacking but also a place where whistle-blowers can communicate.

@Julia, if Josh's data were salted, someone would have had to have his credit card numbers and his addresses. Probably Anna will know the truth of it.

HFC, I'll try to the extent of my knowledge. The hackers released torrents (shared files, remember Napster? sort of like that) of all the data from Ashley Madison onto the dark web. The dark web is a huge area of the internet not accessible by things like Google, you need to use a special browser like Tor to access it. It's easy enough to download Tor and teach yourself some basic navigation. Of course right away, people grabbed (downloaded) those torrents and started to develop lookups into the databases on the regular internet. The hackers weren't going after Josh, ostensibly you have it correct, they went after Ashley Madison because the site charged a fee to have one's profile deleted but Ashley Madison wasn't really wiping the information from their databases after the fees were paid. I suspect it has more to do with it being a cheating website, but we have to take the hackers at their word? Ha! Gawker found Josh's info for both of his accounts and then took one of his usernames from Ashley Madison and searched OK Cupid (a dating website) to find his profile on that site as well. I don't know if Gawker has a developer that went and grabbed the databases off the dark web or if they were using one of the tools that has been written to find him. Most of the tools I see just looking around a bit require an email address and some of the tools have been served with takedown orders from the company that owns Ashley Madison. Josh IS stupid, anyone that would cheat should know to be surreptitious about it, go to Walgreens and purchase one of those anonymous Visas to pay for such services and use a "burner" email from gmail or yahoo or whatever web email. Apparently, there were a lot of foolish men out there because there are a large number of .gov email addresses in the database. I hope that helped, sort of. Finally my reaction? Well of course. I'm pretty sure I posted "Run, Anna, Run!" as soon as the original mess came out. Now she has grounds, my advice still stands.

I don't think there is any chance that she'll appear on Morning Joe unless and until she's dominating in the primaries or she's the nominee in the general election. And even with that - if their behavior continues along the path it's on, why should she bother? Mika has always been hateful and smug towards her - going back to the 2008 election cycle, when I think I only remember Clinton appearing once.

I thought Holly's huge reaction was to the insinuation that Nia was missing school. That's a big deal to a person who's career was as an educator. I understood her reaction completely. It seems like Holly and Jess have gotten close, I feel like they are still the most grounded of the mothers, but that's isn't saying much, it's a low bar. Melissa now has those dragon nails which indicate that she doesn't do a thing for anybody anymore.

Of course you're right, I guess I was trying to avoid the conversation all over again as it connects to the features and solos and horrific costumes that Abby gives Nia. Stamina is a problem because they aren't in tech classes every day doing repetitions of across the floor exercises, it isn't just stretching that they have been losing out on. This is an example of something that can't really be done at home, unless a family has a full on studio somewhere in the house.

Joe needs a god damned pants on fire meter attached to his mouth. He opens the top of the show insinuating that he watched the Clinton press availability live and then when Matthews shows up he says he caught it during Hardball, which is it asshole? She got fed up with Ed Henry, supreme asshole of FoxEntertainmentChannel whom Obama took down for being an asshole just weeks ago. I wish Clinton were quicker on her feet so that she could have taken him down as well, it was dispiriting to see her walk away in frustration. I just linked to an article yesterday that defines the State Department's "unclassified email system", I think that some of this murkiness has to do with the State Department AND the White House not wanting to make public exactly how actual classified documents are exchanged and discussed digitally. I don't expect to know or want to know that, it shouldn't be public - because if it is, then it will be subject to hacking. And lord knows our government is inept at defending against hacking. The whole morning line-up was basically booked to attack Hillary Clinton, nice work! It was nice to see Matthews and a measure of objectivity. Eugene is butthurt because Clinton doesn't give two fucks about him and his opinion pieces.

Abby's implicit bias shows all the time with Holly and Nia - I can't full on call her a racist... but. This is true of most of the girls, not improving beyond completing more rotations in their turns, turns that they learned initially by not using the correct muscles because they were not yet developed.

The comments on some of the articles about the situation were jaw-droppingly hateful, and since many sites just updated the same article so you could see that they were just as awful and worse before Chelsea was found. Almost all of it had a right-wing tinge to it, I just don't understand that sort of hate. I can't imagine spending my day hurling that sort of bile at anyone. When I was looking (I'm not going to go looking again, there isn't enough bleach) there were mixed reports about Bear.

Oh thank goodness... off to wish her Yellow on twitter. But I wanted to add that Rosie probably wanted to keep Chelsea's issues private, shame that now Chelsea will have this public knowledge to deal with on top of everything else. ♥

I get why it was kept private for awhile, what I don't understand is why the police are still not considering her to be missing. It appears that she went off her meds, had a freak-out, ran away and then... who knows. The dates in the different reports are sort of sketchy - like Rosie might have gotten some texts from her or something. NYC is such a big place, sigh. And then there is her freaking money grubbing birth mother. It all just breaks my heart.

I ♥♥♥♥♥ Joe Biden, but that off the cuff gift of gab is what gets him trouble sometimes. Bill Clinton it the master bubba making everyone feel loved and understood, I think he's a once a century type talent. Shame he hadn't been just a bit more liberal. I heard a report that the Obama folks that are now on the Clinton campaign are using the "no bedwetting" rule. I hope they can turn her ship around only because I'd really hate to see her die on the vine this easily - her legacy deserves better. And I repeat, this is why I didn't want her to run again.

About the idea of him running the long con on the GOP (it does feel that way sometimes) didn't he take a pretty big hit to his branding with the rapist remarks? Or is there upside in the end? I just don't know. He was the number one birther asshole and Obama humiliated him at that the correspondents dinner (where Obama chuckled while he ordered the Bin Laden hit).

Kalani would stand a chance right now if she were old enough, the camera absolutely loves her - which is a huge part of SYTYCD, it is not all about dance ability at all. Because of the way they are taping these performances, she already has that down pat as well. For dancers at this level it just takes six months of rudimentary ballroom classes, if she's been doing the conventions she's had some hip hop as well. Chuckle from what we've seen of Club Dance solos, she might have to work at jazz and musical theatre a bit though ;). (i'm teasing.)

Woodward said something really creepy yesterday about how having "all" of Clinton's emails would give us some insight into her personal life - um hello? Why the hell does the public have the right to know anything about her truly personal emails? Now, of course she was heavy handed about this whole thing, but while I listen to a bunch of D.C. hacks that have always been frustrated by and disliked the Clintons discuss nothing but innuendo - am I the only one that remembers that it was acknowledged about 3/4s of a year ago that there were known hackers in the State Department servers that they were struggling to sniff out and get rid of? I'll have to hunt around to see if I'm just imagining this. I'm so tired of Joe's bullshit diatribes on this subject, if I ever meet him in person I'm going to punch him in the nose. Oh wait, I think I've made that promise several times over the years based on many other diatribes he's gone on. It just makes my skin crawl to hear him, Halperin and Todd go after her in every way from Sunday, it's starting to feel like the 2008 cycle, and I'm sorry maybe it's because I'm female, but there is starting to be that familiar tone of sexism creeping in again. Ugh. eta: found it, of course it says "unclassified system" but if what we see now is true, sometimes unclassified can become classified, later.

Ha, don't let my lack of class paint Chloe in a poor light, I am just really pleased that Chloe got a "win" after what she endured on the show for two seasons. I'm just really happy for her. As to putting some sort of end to the out of control fans, I was hoping that there might be one competition between the two studios this season where we didn't get the revenge thing - but a view of how there can be really healthy competition between studios. We'll never see that though - it was just my pipe dream. It sounds like Chloe didn't even have a solo this year in competition - choosing instead to bond and work hard with her team mates, I wonder if that was her decision or one of the adults around her. I think it says a lot about how serious she took fitting in with her new team.

The best part is that she got the award from the awesome Cat Deeley - feel the burn Abby, feel it hard. If the whole cast was there I sure as hell wish there were audience shots of Melissa and Abby.

I'm starting worry for Joe's cardiac health. He's spinning so fast and behaving in such an apoplectic manner he's gonna stroke out or have a heart attack. They WERE NOT CLASSIFIED AT THE TIME, they are being deemed as classified as they are being reviewed. (Does Joe remember all the actually top secret Clinton diplomatic communications that were made public via Chelsea Manning/WikiLeaks?)
