I don't see this hacking stuff and the warning that if you take nude photos of yourself and they get hacked or sent around by a bad ex as slut shaming, I see it as fair warning, and it's logical, for well over a decade the message has been loud and clear, these thing on the internet are there forever. My understanding is that even if you delete things from the cloud, they aren't even completely deleted. I think it's a common sense thing and it applies to all genders. I think the iCloud is a profound cluster fuck, since anything you do picture wise and many other things go directly to the Cloud - one more reason that I am not an Apple fan.

I didn't get the impression that Nicolle was defending Palin at all, she really detests her. Have you seen or read Game Change?
-
Oh my on the hazing! I appreciated the whole segment because somewhere in my mind I had a belief that the MAP pageant system was somewhat respectable because of the scholarship aspect and the talent aspect as well. I'm happy to be disabused of that wrong-headed notion.
-
I really enjoyed Nicolle in the segment with Rosie. About the VA girl... whatever might have made you feel uncomfy with it, was nothing compared to Alex Twit (MSNBC) last weekend saying that "girls should know better", I wanted to throw a shoe through my television.

The name Bitsy and the word Integrity do not belong in the same sentence.
-
Agreed, I really should have put a question mark at the end of that post!

Love the new set, like how the chemistry is developing but eeesh, Whoopi, stop with defending shitty parenting! Did she shave the sides of her head during the break? I don't like that either.
-
Personally, if I want to hear Roger Ailes' morning faxblast talking points, I'd watch Fox. And what made Bitsy even worse was her word salad and inability to articulate anything further when she parroted them. I don't blame Ro for bringing it up again, because it was tiresome and highly irritating. At least with some folks on Fox, like say Charles Krauthammer ;) they have the intelligence to back up the shenanigans in a non-debate (since it's just an echo chamber over there).

Bless your heart! gigglesnort, that was awesome!

You can kind of see the dress here. Looks like viewing and reviewing The View, is big business. ;)

Trouble in Paradise

No, this is true for young children as well, a four year old will have trouble connecting the discipline if it is not immediate. I guess I'm not very fussy, I'm enjoying the new View, except for stuff like the predictable Whoopi shenanigans defending the indefensible. Take yesterday, I think Nicolle was saying to Rachel, GIRL, if you get a chance you gotta go on Air Force One, GO! - and I wasn't at all bothered about her mocking herself about Charles Krauthammer being a God in "our" world. Personally, I think there has to be a touch of narcissism in anyone that believes that they can be the POTUS. And finally Obama has often been criticized for being aloof, by folks from both parties. This is certainly not Bitsy going over Roger Aile's talking points with sweaty before each show levels of obnoxious.

Whatever they did that I did or didn't especially like today, the show was still a 100% improvement over the few last shows from the previous season that I forced myself to watch. It will take some time for them to try a few things and toss them and try some others. I thought the "game show" thing was a vehicle to get to know Rosie P and do a big audience give away, the give away, is a sign that Ro is back. ;) I really wanted Nicolle to get into the Palin thing, but that is too good of a story to give away on the first show. Put it this way - Nicolle is NO fan of Palin.
-
I listen mostly and don't watch. I enjoyed it. That said, it's clear that they all just met last week for the first time, they will need some time to build chemistry. Don't expect Nicolle Wallace to be like Bitsy in any way shape or form. Nicolle Wallace is a professional.

The only time that Nicolle had me grabbing for my remote was in the heat of the 2008 election. There was a reason that she and Steve Scmidt were asked to continue on as MSNBC analysts, she's a moderate. Not one Romney staff was asked.

Future Co-Hosts Talk and Speculation: Musical Chairs
NextIteration replied to mtlchick's topic in The View
I'm pleased with the choices, but yes, it looks like diversity of age got left out of the equation. I couldn't disagree with this more if I tried. She's a moderate Republican that uses the humor of Republican talking points proven a little true to poke at so-called "Liberal" Mika and it's sort of funny because Mika is not liberal by any means and is the real dumb blonde on that show, amazing given her pedigree. To appreciate Wallace more, look for her in clips with Rachel Maddow, where they cheerfully debate and agree to disagree whilst expressing a true appreciation of each other. I think Wallace was an excellent choice as Host, she is no freaking Rabid Bitsy. p.s. THANK THE GAWD ABOVE for NO S E CUPP!!!! -
Jenny McCarthy: She Doesn't Want Kids to Get Vaccinated

Shhhh, I'm trying to calm down. ;) It all really upsets me. -
@Kromm, I was mostly talking about Kelly.

Again, because I'm incredibly informed and have looked forever for the answers, this is not my experience. My daughter is bipolar, mostly unmedicated at the moment though previously heavily medicated, and very successful at a near Ivy school. Her doctor feels she's doing fine, she only takes something to help with sleep. We (doctor, daugther and I) are are all exceedingly aware that a mood stabilizer may need to be added back, but at this time it appears to not be needed. Again, I'm sorry for your experience. It's not mine. This is, essentially why I can't stand Jenny or Sherri, they continue to present themselves as so incredibly uninformed about the brain issues, I just can't abide it. Jenny, pulled all attention from mental illness as a whole, to autism, it makes me sick. There are all kinds of issues that parents face. This is why, I pray for Jeffrey and Evan.
-
I'm legitimately sorry for your experience. I understand why that colors your opinion. What you don't know, or haven't experienced is children that are bored beyond their limit, that have to go to school where they can hear lights, literally, fluorescent lights buzz and they can hear them, deal with scratchy tags that drive them nuts, noise that makes it impossible to actually hear the teacher, troubles between children that challenge their sense of equity and justice... I could go on and on. I'm not attacking you at all, know that. But kids like this? Melt down when they finally come home and are amongst people they trust. It's the only place they feel safe to loose it. It's exceedingly difficult to deal with. It's also very easy, to start blaming other things, instead of accepting and getting down in the reality of it and working with where they are.

I hope that this doesn't get me in trouble, but that specifically, is where it started, That and some really stupid union shit, I love and believe whole-heartedly in them but there were some ridiculous excesses in them - at the end of their supremacy. But there was no reason why starting wages in a union out paced those of white collar college graduates, as they did back in the day. I think that was a source of everything going upside down. It really, wasn't morally fair.

You clearly missed the part about under diagnosed.
-
This? Is a perfect example of you being on the outside - looking in with an opinion about something you have zero experience in. Try to live my life and then come back and say that. Children are under and over diagnosed and no family physician has any business using complicated prescriptive drugs in things they don't know shit about. Exemplary and perfect.
-
Um, I don't know, my high school's identity was stripped from them decades ago. I think that it really does ruffle feathers. That said? KO can be an intolerable ball of hot air, not that I disagree with most of his opinions.
-
My sister, does this with her son with Aspergers. It so complicates all of the issues it's horrifying. It ruins most holiday family get togethers because he's allowed to uncontrollably melt down and we are just supposed to accept because it is what it is. My kids are also neural atypical, but they don't do these things... anymore. It's all rooted in her over protective nature and unwillingness to completely accept that her child will never be that perfect kid that her expectations were filled with. Jenny? Is guilty of this as well - project blame everywhere while you deny the truth. Good lord, I went through this with my spouse because I was way, WAY ahead of him, getting that there was a problem. It is so complicated, but facing the reality of the situation, and meeting children where they are and asking them to be brave and do their best, is the best way. I have a child that is so incredibly amazing as a human being, it makes me cry, and I anticipate that some day, my other child will finally catch up.
