As a Nina fan and Carly hater, I must admit even I was taken aback by Nina’s plan! I hate the writing for Nina. It’s just all-around bad. They only use her to prop Carly. I knew this though. That scene with Ava had me quickly remembering why I decided to start FFing/muting all things Carly/Sonny/Nina-related a few weeks ago. I like SoNa but Nina’s in for a huge fall. I don’t want to see that! I missed most of nuMolly’s debut. I have to go back and watch those scenes. First impressions of her - she looks much older than HP. I thought KaMa seamlessly stepped into the role of Kristina. I want to watch this actress from the beginning to see if I feel the same. From what I caught, it didn’t feel as seamless but I’ll know after a rewatch! Curtis is an ass! That is all.

As someone w/wicked bad cramps, including severe lower back pain, I also thought it was something you just deal with as a woman. I went from Tylenol to Excedrin to Advil to Alleve. Just pop a pill (or five), take a sick day, and it will pass. I think a lot of women do that. I know many don't care about this plot, but that's why I like it. It's very relatable for me.

I don’t disagree with any of that but I feel like the show has downplayed all those great points, esp the last one. IMO, Esme will forever be a psycho because she thought her psycho dad’s plan made sense! And she got herself pregnant to further his insanity! That’s nuts!! With how they play it though, I wish we saw more neglectful parenting with Esme. I’m not saying she would abuse the kid but maybe Spencer comes home to find the baby screaming and her with headphones on, or Laura is coming home to find her about to leave while a virtual stranger she just met at Kelly’s watches the baby. That would be more interesting to me. I hate, loathe, and despise Esme but she seems to be a fairly decent mom. Spencer wants her baby to punish her, not because she’s necessarily failing in her parental duties. I think it would be a better story if she wasn’t such a good mom. We could see she loves the kid but doesn’t really want to be bothered with him. Spencer would then not come off so stalkerish. I don’t know. I like my storytelling more in the gray. These folks are very black and white.

IMO, the writers have ruined Esme. She’s a complete failure at this point. They need Spencer to harass and bother her because otherwise she has no story. She has no friends. She has no family. She has no true identity with the amnesia. She’s just there. They stupidly had her baby survive so she can’t just leave town. Even though I don’t like Esme and think she’s a nut, I don’t think the show has done a good job of explaining why Spencer believes she shouldn’t be able to raise her own kid. As far as he knows, she targeted him and his dad. Ok……but is that it? I wish he would talk more about the danger she poses. I also wish he demanded a DNA test or something. He’s been coming off as more obsessed than legitimately concerned. I don’t know. I hate this story. Spencer is being sacrificed to give Esme a story. That happened with Nikolas too. I wish Esme would just go away because she’s not a viable character IMO, but I know she’s here to stay unfortunately. Spencer and Sprina will be sacrificed to keep her relevant.

This will be my last comment: I take issue with drunk driving being described as a mistake. As @Semigluedsaid, the use of that word, IMO, downplays the seriousness of the act. Haley chose to drink. She chose to get behind the wheel of a 1000+ pound missile essentially and drive it around impaired. She had one hit-n-run before. She made a series of bad choices, which led to an innocent person being hurt. Hopefully, she gets her life on track, but I feel so much sympathy for the woman she hurt. That woman’s life has been altered in a horrible way, and it didn’t need to occur. That’s the sad part. The entire thing could have been avoided had Haley made different choices. I pray her victim makes a full recovery and that Haley gets it together before she kills someone.

Hallmark makes bank off their cheesy Christmas movies (I proudly enjoy them) so I could see them pushing up filming in case this writers strike impacts that in any way.

Or he has a Hallmark Christmas movie to film?!! ETA: I understand Nancy loves Haley. She’s known her since she was a little girl and probably feels like a second mother to her. I get it, but drunk driving is serious. It’s not a mistake. It’s a choice. There have been numerous DD incidents in the news lately. So many people have been impacted by drunk drivers. Also, hearing that Haley was going on about her $400 shirt . . . . it’s not a good look. She must know that a lot of ppl don’t have compassion for drunk drivers who injure others. If Haley had been in a single-car accident, that would be one thing but she crashed into someone else who now has major injuries. Nancy probably should have just remained quiet.

Yeah . . . I just read that about Haley and came here to see if it had been posted. Those pictures are awful. I detest drunk drivers. There are have been a lot of DD incidents in the news recently, and HP better be happy she didn't kill someone. It's not even her first incident. I don't see GH keeping her around. I think TC was let go for similar reasons but maybe he was drunk on set. I'm not sure. Anyway, I feel sorry for the other person Haley crashed into! As far as HP is concerned, I hope she gets into rehab and figures out her life. She's rich enough to get an Uber if she wants to get lit one night; no need to drive herself.

I skipped the last two days, and it looks like I haven’t missed much! Haha! And I’m definitely glad I missed Nina groveling to that bitch, Carly, and her jerky boyfriend. No thanks!

But were PCPD patrols called off because Esme was the presumed killer? Had they been patrolling the docks but Jordan pulled them back or something? I’m just trying to figure out how Liz is to blame for Britt dying. If the PCPD hadn’t thought Esme was the killer, what would have changed? How would that knowledge have prevented Britt’s death? If patrols were pulled back or called off completely, it would make sense to me but that doesn’t seem to be the case. No one knew where Esme was so there should have been an increased police presence, right?!?

I feel nothing for Dex. The job was always messy. It was a son wanting to take down his dad for the silliest of reasons. Dex should have thought about that BEFORE signing up! At any time, Michael could have changed his mind, which he already did! Dex had to talk Michael into proceeding with the plan a few months ago! Did dummy Dex forget that? Why he thought this was a slam dunk is beyond me? Also, he should have never let himself get attached to his target’s step-daughter. That was just plain dumb. And why is he not worried about Pikeman? I see all this concern about Sonny but wouldn’t Pikeman and his ppl find out Dex was the mole? Wouldn’t Pikeman’s ppl kill Dex for getting their boss locked up?!?! He acts like Sonny was getting arrested, and he was going live happily ever after!! Did he not think Sonny could get him from prison?!?! Dex is a moron, and his problems are of his own making! Scotty needs to move on from Liesl. I like them together but I don’t like her blaming him (or Elizabeth) for her daughter being dead. It doesn’t even make sense. How would revealing Esme sooner have prevented Britt’s death?!?!? Heather still would have hooked her. Scotty has apologized enough, IMO. I wish Nina would own what she did. That would be more interesting. Glad Diane finally told them to get separate attorneys. How did these dummies not think of this themselves?!? They are in their 50s and have dealt with the criminal world before! I only started watching at 2:20 so I thankfully missed Cary/mini-Carly chatting. I muted Josslyn/Willow. 🙄 I guess we get no breaks from Willow! Argh!!

Yeah….I was just ranting about Bobbie and her awful daughter! I’m so sad to hear JZ died! Unlike with Sonya, I think they have to let the character pass too. They better do a good tribute to her! So sad!! RIP, Jackie!!

What really bothers me about this is we all KNOW when it is discovered that Michael reported a crime, that action won't suddenly be the most evil, horrible thing one could do b/c Michael did it. This show and its biases are so obvious! That's why the Carlys and any plot associated w/them is an automatic FF/mute for me. I can't do it anymore. Anyway . . . . I just watched Sprina, Laura/Curtis, and Portia/Taggart. Love all the Sprina scenes of course. I really love TA as Trina, and I don't think SM could have handled the romantic portion of this story so I don't miss her. She was a great actress, but I cannot forget the cringiness of that kiss w/Cameron. It's burned in my memory. LOL! Thankfully, I've had no issue w/TA. From her first scene, I've liked her. She has made the role her own, and I love her chemistry with NAC/Spencer. Those airplane scenes were too cute w/Spencer's speech to Trina and Chunk playing w/Trina's hands. That said, I still have no interest in seeing Spencer obsessed w/Chunk. I can only hope the writers don't screw up Sprina too much. Portia needs to get a grip. Trina is grown. She's 20-years old. She will date who she wants. Portia has no control over it. Instead of trying to force her to stop seeing Spencer, she needs to just be there for her daughter. When she says she doesn't want Trina to get hurt, I just roll my eyes. Unless Trina joins a convent, she's gonna get hurt. That's life, Portia! My goodness. She needs to listen to Taggart!

They must really be in sync!! I love these two so much! I haven’t liked a couple like this since Nava and Friz!

Josslyn morphed into one of the heifers to me after she was so awful to Cameron when Franco died. Her demand that Cameron not believe his mother (he overheard Liz saying Jason shot Franco IIRC) and to not speak ill of Jason blew my mind. Her lack of compassion and empathy for a supposed friend was insane to me. I remember him even saying they just shouldn’t speak about Jason since they disagreed, and that wasn’t good enough for her!! Cameron had to proclaim Hason’s greatness before Josslyn would speak to him again. Since then, she has only become more obnoxious and insufferable. It also doesn’t help that she has adopted LW’s less positive acting tics. Eden plays Josslyn with smugness and self-righteousness with those the character doesn’t like. I think it’s to Carly’s detriment that LW has fully adopted the writers’ biased narrative of her character. She adds no vulnerability to any of her scenes with an “enemy,” which makes the character come off very one-note. Eden has adopted the same belief about her character and plays Josslyn in the same obnoxious way, IMO. As you pointed out, that line about why Willow would want to speak to Nina was the dumbest thing I’ve heard in a long time! The writing does this group no favors either because how does one deliver such an ignorant line of dialogue?!? Anyway, Josslyn is just as awful as the rest of them, IMO.

Me too! Me too! I have watched that flying leap like 20x! Beautiful moment for them!!! I hate to enjoy a couple because GH usually screws over the couples I like (I’m looking at you, Nava and Friz). Y’all . . . . . Trina’s leap into Spencer’s arms killed this Sprina fan. I absolutely LOVED that moment. It was the perfect end to the adventure. I really enjoyed the adventure. Was it a bit rushed? Sure. Could there have been more Sprina moments? Yup! But with how crappy soap writing is nowadays, I was happy with the story for the most part. It was the only story I cared about for the past month or so and kept me eager to tune in each day to see what was happening next. I haven’t felt that way in a long time! I’m sad it’s over, but I’m ready for Sprina’s next chapter. . . which better not have anything to do with pointless Esme. The more they say Carly AND Sonny have each other’s backs, the more I think Sonny’s in for a rude awakening. I could be wrong because that might be dramatic and interesting, and GH doesn’t typically do that especially for this group, but maybe Carly doesn’t back Sonny when the truth comes out about Michael, and Sonny sees he shouldn’t owe Carly or her brats any loyalty! That could be good!

I can’t disagree with this part of your statement. There are no consequences, and stories do fizzle out with this regime. That said, I enjoyed the IP story for the most part. I never saw the first story - it occurred before my time - but this story was pretty exciting to me. I enjoyed Sprina connecting and all the Victor stuff. I can’t say they stuck the landing, but I haven’t looked forward to the show in a long time! I can’t remember the last time I was excited to watch prior to this mini-arc so that says something. Also, I’m sorry this story has ended. Other than Sprina, Tolly, and Austin/Ava, there is literally nothing else I care about on the show right now!

You and me both! I was enraged by that whole conversation. It had me cussing and I don't curse. LOL! I just can't w/the biased writing on this show. It doesn't help that I don't see Nina as that awful so that scene today was next level cruel, IMO, esp. as you said, she wasn't saying it to them both! I despise Willow. At this point, they should have absolutely nothing to do w/each other. I'm perfectly fine w/that. This stopped being interesting - IMO - months ago. Just let Nina live a life w/o her children and grandchildren and let her be ok w/that. Let her be w/Sasha and those who actually love her. That's what I would love to see, but I'm tired of seeing Nina get stomped on.

Why was Willow made Nina's daughter? What was the point? @CeChase - Yeah. It's not worth recording (IMO) or watching live. Thankfully, there are ppl on Twitter and YouTube who upload Sprina scenes daily. I'm going to stick to watching Sprina from there. I'm over Nina being their punching bag. It's not interesting to me, and it's endless.

I just wanted to chime in and say I agree with those who feel LW brings NO layers to the character. I’ve never see her in anything else so I can’t speak to her stellar acting in other roles. All I can say is Carly is a pretty one-dimensional character, and LW seems to have completely bought into the narrative that Carly is always right. That may be why she plays all her scenes the same way and never shows any vulnerability in a scene with an “enemy.” I agree that this hurts Carly more than help her. But that’s JMO. I missed the show today but it looks like Michael was an ass (as usual), Willow’s dying (as she has been for the last several months), Jex are still having the same boring conversation about Sonny, and randos continue to praise/prop Carly!! At least I have the Sprina/HS stuff to look forward to watching!! I’ll miss their adventure. It’s been interesting!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who saw the Carly/Nina scenes the same way. If anyone has to wonder why I hate Carly, just look at today's scenes. She is a bitch just to be a bitch. No other reason. It's really pathetic and weird. Nina asked about the wedding, but she coudn't help getting in some digs about Nelle. Why? What's the point? Dang . . . she must be a miserable person to be so consistently nasty and awful. I enjoyed the Sprina/HS stuff. I wish Sprina's adventure had been a bit longer, but it was fun while it lasted. I hope we get to see more of their relatioship develop b/c w/this story ending, there's not much else I care about right now.
