I have very little interest in this SEC story. And that’s not just because I like Nina, but I’ve been over the Carly v. Nina wars for a long time now. They’ve been hating each other for a few years now, and I’m over it! The rivalry btw Carly and Nina is downright boring because the writing isn’t balanced. Everything Nina does is awful, and everything Carly does is completely understandable. Ok. That’s not a good soap rivalry. It’s just Carly prevailing all the time. How fun?! RME! I was completely done after no one cared about Carly’s lies re: Willow. I realized then that this show doesn’t give you - the viewer - any return on your investment unless the character is one that’s not favored by the writers. The minute Nina made that call, I knew where this story was headed. I actually don’t see SoNa ending but I’m not interested in seeing the fallout with more angry Michael, Willow, Carly, Olivia, etc. Unless you love Carly and hate Nina, that’s nothing to watch! So, I’ll definitely be muting/FFing all this Nina crap or will just skip the show entirely and keep up with my faves via YT and Twitter! There’s not too much I’m interested in right now anyway.

Ok. I must admit I felt bad for Joss….briefly! 😂 EM did a good job in that scene. She was right. She is alone in her grudge so she may as well let it go; everyone else has for the most part! I had to RME at her feeling left out though because she made it that way. She decided Sonny falling in love while having amnesia was the hill she was willing to die on, and that she was gonna hate Sonny forever for it. Sonny heard her loud and clear. At least she recognized it was crazy to feel left out given her recent behavior. It’s sounding like she was just going along with Michael instead of following her own mind. Maybe she’ll learn to follow her own path from now on. I wonder how this stupid SEC secret will play out. Scotty is hilarious to me! I love his scenes. Donna is super cute. I liked the island scenes minus Willow/Harmony and Willow/Wiley!

To me, the real problem is Genie’s annual vacations, and the lame reasons the show comes up with to explain her absences. It made no sense for her to run off and look for Nikolas. He’s a grown man. He left town. He’s left before. He’s returned before. Why look for him? She can’t make him do anything anyway so it was always a waste of time. Now, if she had known or suspected he didn’t voluntarily leave town, I could understand her looking for him but that wasn’t the case. They need to plan around her vacations better. I don’t even know why an explanation is needed if she’s not on-screen since plenty of other characters disappear for months with no explanation! But character-wise, I do think she feels guilt about Nikolas. I honestly think she’s been a crappy mom to him so she overcompensates I guess.

@dubbel zout - Trina lives at the dorms during the school year, and at her mother's place when school is out. The Sprina scene should have taken place outside the dorm b/c that's where Spencer picked her up, but the show wanted her to talk to Marshall and Curtis. But she's living at the dorms now.

Oh, I was always in support of Esme dying and AP returning as a new character. lol When she went over the parapet the first time, I didn't care and was hoping it was the last we saw of her. And my dislike for her has nothing to do w/Sprina. I have always felt Esme was a pointless character who was just floating around w/no story or anchor. I remember asking if she truly loved Spencer b/c it wasn't clear to me that she did. And w/the ease w/which she slept w/his dad, I assumed she didn't and never did. She was sent to PC to do her dad's bidding but was weirdly obsessed w/Josslyn and was constantly harassing her and Trina. Why? What was the point of all that? I remember the speculation that she was older than she appeared, and that would have been a better story than the one they ended up telling. I've never liked Carly - not even the SBJ version - but I must say that early Carly was a better overall character than Esme. Carly came to town seeking revenge on her bio mom. Esme came to PC to do her psycho dad's bidding. They started off wrong w/Esme, and it's gone downhill ever since. They gave her no layers or depth. She was very one-note. The amnesia isn't helping either. Now, she's just an annoyance, always lugging around her ginormous baby and eavesdropping. They have completely dropped the ball w/Esme if you ask me. They should cut their losses and let her go. I feel for AP but the writers don't know what to do w/her. I don't get it either. As you said, Esme is the one who alienated her entire peer group. No one likes her and why would they? I don't know why they're keeping her around either other than to tease Spencer/Esme. Let's be honest - there's nothing else to do w/her. And as a Sprina fan, I find that frustrating b/c she's not even full out scheming to get him. It's all very weak and subtle manipulation w/her pointless baby. I do think the goal was to hook her up w/WL's Cameron but that got derailed when WL chose to leave. This is why the show shouldn't stop b/c an actor leaves. I think Cameron should have been recast. He could have been on screen upset w/Josslyn cheating on him and bonding w/Esme. That could have been interesting. I would NOT have let her be pregnant or carry to term, but that's just me. I don't think saddling young characters down w/babies is interesting. Esme is a complete drag. I think they should de-Cassadine her baby and let her leave town.

I’m in the DMV too, and we got 25-30 minutes of the show, a news break, and then the last 8-10 minutes. That scene with NAC and GF just made me so incredibly sad for Spencer and the relationship he used to have with his dad. They used to be so tight, and Nik is just a massive disappointment. This show has so completely destroyed Nik, IMO. He’s just trash. I hate how they’ve driven the bus over that character. It’s honestly ridiculous! ETA: This episode also highlighted how completely useless Esme is. They really need to do something with the character. Kevin pointed out today that she has no friends. That’s her own fault though. The baby is such a drag on the character, IMO. I’ll never understand why they took her down this path.

Dang, y'all forgot poor Rory! LOL! I actually liked him and thought he and Trina had potential when he handed her that soda, but as usual, C&D killed them w/their bad pacing and awful writing. I could never get into them. He was never a viable option to Spencer, which is why that story failed. Oh well. Y'all already know I loved all the Sprina scenes. He did a fancy BTS thing for her at the MET and then we got some incredibly cute, sexy, fun times in bed!! I wasn't expecting more of them so that was nice for this Sprina fan. The dialogue was good too. I really wish the scabs were staying b/c even when the problems come for Sprina, I feel they would handle them better than C&D. Sprina needed balance - some love to balance the constant angst. Oh well. I felt so bad for Chase. Gregory should have told him already, and I really felt/understood his anger at Finn being told weeks before. JS did a great job, IMO, in the breakdown scene. I hope Gregory isn't too angry w/Tracy. I'm mad that Sonny isn't having Gladys killed, but I'm happy she's gone for the foreseeable future. They pretty much ruined her w/this plot. I never got the sense she cared about Sasha or was truly remorseful about anything she did! And thank goodness, the good doctor has been arrested. Hopefully, Chase's wife doesn't back down from what she saw! Valentin is just an awful boyfriend and a really crappy dad. I cannot believe he's never confronted Charlotte about what he saw. Charlotte has been brainwashed. This could be good. @PatsyandEddie - I'm glad someone else is rooting for a misdiagnosis for Gregory! I would be ok w/that too!

I was using the words of the person I was responding to but I agree that pregnancy is not beyond anyone's control, which is why a pregnancy story for Trina immediately after having sex would be insulting and a bad way to go. @dubbel zout - True, but we could also hear from Trina about the rest of the trip, which is likely gonna include something about art. That's really all I'm saying. It was mentioned on Thursday when they arrived.

I would hope pregnancy isn't in the plans for Trina anytime soon. You wanna talk cliches. Trina ending up pregnant the first time she has sex is the biggest cliche in the book! It's 2023, let's not go there. Trina is 20-years old. I want Trina to finish school and start her career before she has a baby. She can have a healthy sex life for the next few years and not experience any pregnancy scares.

Re: the museums . . . . we just saw the first night though. When she mentioned wanting to see the Big 4, he said he was happy to hear that. She asked him what he was planning and he was about to tell her when the person came w/the food and the champagne. They never revisited that conversation but it led me to think he may have something planned w/r/t those museums. I don't know if we're getting another night w/them in NY (this fan hopes so) but we may learn that he did get her a BTS tour of a museum or something equally nice and art-related. I guess we'll see.

I see it as him wanting to take her on an awesome trip. I don’t think he was trying to impress her. He’s a prince. She knows he has money/wealth. He just wanted her to have an enjoyable weekend. She chose NY so he just made the plans.

But Spencer is not that sexually experienced. He’s only slept with Esme. That is what was established on the show. He wasn’t in multiple relationships while at boarding school. He’s had one sexual partner. To me, they aren’t that far apart. I also agree that Trina was retconned when the found a permanent hire for her and decided to actually develop the character. I don’t think it had anything to do with Carly though but who knows?

No, she hasn’t. It was her first time in general. They established that with SM’s Trina but Sprina talked about her virginity at the gallery when she wanted to have sex but Spencer told her he wanted her first time to be special and not when she was upset about her mom. They also spoke about her virginity on the HS. Again, Spencer said he imagined it differently but Trina said the only important thing was that it was with him. They were about to do it but the boat docked so they stopped. And she and Joss were talking about it earlier this week. The very first Trina seemed experienced as she spoke to Josslyn about sex but they walked that back when SM got the role. Trina has been a virgin for a few years now, and that’s fine with me. Not everyone has sex in high school or even college. Spencer is not super experienced. He’s only had sex with Esme.

Girl……right?!? I could look at his body all day! LOL! But yeah…I thought they both looked great too! I loved when he took off her shoes and when he picked her up! I also liked her pushing him down! It was just incredibly sweet and romantic to me. I loved all the NY scenes actually. No wrong beats or moments for me.

Hahaha! My mom also makes similar comments about Jex. As a Sprina fan, I loved it! I know most don’t like them here so I wasn’t planning on commenting but I thought it was sweet too! It was also romantic and sexy. It was Trina’s first time so I thought it hit all the right beats! Very beautiful love scene if you ask me but then I like this pairing and think they have a ton of chemistry. I did like the song they used and the montage earlier in the episode. I was a happy viewer yesterday!

I feel for Sasha and can only hope a larger plan is at play here. The show has to know this sick plot of a doctor abusing his power and drugging and practically killing a girl has to come up an end, right? It’s not entertaining on any level! Gladys can go to jail or Hell! I don’t care which but I need that POS off my television screen! There’s no redemption for her in my eyes! She’s straight trash! I never thought I would say this but I loved Joss today. I enjoyed her chat with Trina, and the scenes btw her and Ava were surprisingly good! She’s so much better when she’s not channeling Carly. She was less abrasive and less annoying today. Ava gave her good advice about Dex too! They need to write her more like her own person instead of a Carly clone. I was in Sprina heaven today. Great scenes btw them. I’m so happy to see them happy and having fun for once that won’t be interrupted. Yay for them! I want them to speed up this Cyrus and Austin/Mason’s boss stuff. Is Cyrus definitely the boss? Is there anyone else in this operation that’s the boss? I just wish we could kick this story into second/third gear or whatever to get it going! Haha!

Well, if I didn’t think Gladys was irredeemable, I certainly think it now! She is straight trash! I’m shocked Sasha trusted her to go to the cops and confess!! Gladys only cares about herself! I hope this is part of a larger plan! ETA: Yes, I’m thinking this is part of a larger plan, which is good because I was about to be ticked if they locked up that girl again! ETA again (lol): Ok …… maybe they want to catch Montague in the act of drugging her?! That’s what I’m hoping!

I believe HMK was the temp replacement b/c HP was out due to an injury stemming from the car accident. Then, it was revealed that HP caused the accident. I believe that's when they decided to look for a permanent replacement. Why they landed on BAS who clearly looks her age is beyond me! I know BAS had a rough time on SM but I'm sorry . . . she looks her age. That's not anyone's fault. She is young, but she's not 25. Molly is the youngest of three sisters. The actress has to look the part too, and she just didn't. Of course, viewers were going to harp on that. GH was wrong to hire her, IMO. I do think the backlash was fast and quick so they found a new replacement, which will hopefully be the last. Both BAS and KV were announced with the "role is now being played by." I think HMK's announcement had the word "temporary" in there but I could be wrong. All that said, Molly is still an unbearable witch. She and TJ make me sick. LOL! The scenes she had today were very short but long enough for me to know Molly is still insufferable and annoying. I cannot wait until the surrogacy goes wrong. I want them to come to Kristina, and I want her to say no. LOL! I'm so disappointed w/the writing for Trina. Josslyn was right. I have no idea why the writers insist on writing Trina as someone who never gets upset or always turns the other cheek or takes everything in stride. That whole chicken pox thing would have led me to dump Spencer outright. I didn't care for that mini-drama nor the quick way it was concluded but whatever. I thought SM did a great job in her scenes w/Gladys. She was excellent. Gladys on the other hand . . . .

Portia is a meddlesome, overbearing witch! I hated how she wheeled Curtis away from Sonny. You’re not his momma, Portia. If he wants to talk to Sonny, he can! I sincerely hope we learn that Curtis is the reason he was shot because I’m sick of Portia blaming Anna and Sonny. She’s beyond annoying. You know it’s bad when you can’t sympathize with a woman whose husband has been shot and paralyzed! So, I guess parents extraordinaire Valentin and Nina don’t plan on asking Charlotte about about what she was doing in Anna’s room . . . . ok! That’s a way to address this situation I guess! GH does medical stories so poorly and drags them out so long that I would be happy for Gregory to have a misdiagnosis. It’s not like this story will be well told anyway.

As a Sprina fan who had given up hope on the show ever writing for them properly, I adored today’s scenes!! They were so cute and flirty with each other! I didn’t mind Spencer trying to get Trina to leave right then because I knew Trina would stand her ground. He was just excited about the trip! I don’t know. Everything about them was super cute today to me!! They had me smiling the entire episode when we saw them. I hope to see the same energy and good writing for them next week too! I love that Portia acknowledged her daughter is grown and that she can’t make her do anything. I hope the “Portia tries to ruin Sprina” arc is over. It’s lame, and Portia has more pressing problems! I’m no Esme fan but I loved the curl to AP’s hair. I wish more of the actresses played with their hair more and wore different styles once in a while. Molly could use a curl or a cut. And about Molly - I can’t stand her! I was one of the few fans looking forward to this story, and now I can’t even enjoy it! I also can’t wait until the surrogacy blows up in Tolly’s face. They make me sick! Why did they keep panning to the drain and the blood like we were is supposed to be afraid for Drew?!? We ALL know Drew’s not dying! He’ll be fine! Gotta admit I was enjoying the beginning of that scene though! Cameron Mathison works out and looks great! Those chest and back shots were nice! lol

I must point out that no DNA test has been done to establish Nikolas as Ace’s father so Esme doesn’t automatically have access to his money. Plus, Nikolas shouldn’t even be listed on the birth certificate as he wasn’t present when the child was born! GH probably doesn’t care about this but birth certificates are legal documents that both parents sign! You can’t just list someone without also obtaining their signature. Dads have to sign an Acknowledgment of Paternity.

Exactly! They did not set up the character for longevity at all. First, they just have her as a threat to Sprina and generally being obnoxious. She never made any friends and was always the odd person out. Second, after months of doing nothing with the character, they decide to give her a psycho for a dad and we learn she’s also psychotic because she’s doing her dad’s bidding and thinks his desire to reunite with the woman whose daughter he MURDERED is completely rational! Ok. At some point, she drugs. Trina, records Caoss having sex, and frames Trina for laughs. Then, she releases the recording. She has no remorse for what she did to Caoss or Trina and is fine with Trina going to prison for her actions. We’re told she supposedly loves Spencer but she has no problem screwing his dad!!! She didn’t even hesitate. Oh, and then we learn Heather - another psycho - is her mother so she has two crazy parents. Great! Finally, they unnecessarily knock her up and give her amnesia. So, she just roams around PC lugging her ginormous mutant (but cute) baby with no one to talk to and nothing to actually do! Nothing they’ve done with this character makes any sense!!

I disagree. I don’t think Spencer made her unsure of herself as a parent. He just made himself the father, and she did nothing to fight him on that. Esme allowed it to happen and has come to rely on him like he’s the father. She didn’t establish any boundaries. She didn’t do things for Ace on her own. She hasn’t moved out or declared her independence or told Spencer she doesn’t want or need his help with her son. She likes the family unit she has with Spencer. She wants Spencer too and is jealous of Trina. If she moves out now, it’s only because she’s realizing she’s not getting Spencer as her man too. He’s just the co-parent (and he shouldn’t even be that). I am perfectly fine with Esme moving out with Ace. In fact, I would be ok with her leaving PC entirely. I have never felt this character had a place on this show, and I still don’t. She’s just there. She has no friends and no family. She’s just there. If she was meant to last, the character never should have been given a kid. I stand by that. The amnesia arc has only made things worse for the character. It’s clear they don’t know what to do with her. ——————- Valentin is a trash boyfriend and dad. He needs to tell Anna the truth and talk to Charlotte. How does dumping her at Nina’s help matters?!?! Maxie - Wardrobe hates her. Makeup doesn’t like her either. What can you say? Brook Lynn was right to walk away from Tracy. Tracy screwed over her own granddaughter. Yes, the blackmail was super lame but she knew it would work, and it’s wrong to do your family like that! So, what’s the point of this Dr. Porter stuff? A misdiagnosis maybe? I wasn’t paying close attention but I figure there has to be a larger reason for this story.

Because Esme doesn’t move like a single parent. She moves like she’s co-parenting with Spencer. She calls him for everything - when the baby needs a bottle, when she the baby needs a song, when they go to the pool, etc. She’s not behaving like a single mom, and Spencer is not behaving like a big brother. He behaves like a dad, and as I see it, Esme has come to rely on him like a dad, which is largely Spencer’s fault but I don’t see Esme NOT wanting that. She hasn’t told him in no uncertain terms that Ace is her kid, and she won’t tolerate him being up in her life like that. Esme wants Spencer up in her life at this point. I completely understand why Trina (and everyone) thinks Esme will always be a factor. Why would they not think that? Nothing about the way Spencer and Esme move indicates them separating and moving into more traditional roles w/r/t Ace any time soon.

Color me shocked but I really enjoyed the Curtis/Trina scenes AFTER Portia left. I thought those were nice scenes and I wasn’t mad at Curtis! As a Trina fan, it was nice to see her able to speak to a parental figure about Spencer without judgment and scorn. I think Taggart would have been good in the scene too but he doesn’t like Spencer either. Curtis seemed more neutral, and I must admit he raised the same questions I’ve been wanting Trina to raise with Spencer, which may really be why I liked the scenes! LOL! 😂 But seriously, what is Spencer’s plan if Esme leaves town, and does he really intend on being a father to his baby brother for the rest of his life?!? And is Trina going be ok with Esme forever being a part of her life? All valid, good questions if you ask me! I also liked Curtis telling Trina to live in the moment. That’s good advice for her too. It doesn’t all have to be figured out now though I hope we get a real conversation between Sprina soon on some of these things! I also liked the Dex/Sonny scenes. Dex seemed smart today (lol) so the scenes worked for me. I’m glad Sonny is smart enough to not continue with Pikeman right now. It was nice to see Dex competent for once! So, at the end of yesterday’s episode, I thought it was Anna. My sister speculated Alex but after the beginning scenes today, I knew it was Charlotte. Why did Valentin lie about it to Anna though? Ease her mind why don’t you? He knows she’s freaked out! Unless they’re making Charlotte a psycho, I doubt she burned down Anna’s home but you never know with these writers! I’m wondering if Ms. Wu hurts Marshall, which sparks Curtis to return to the club?! There had to be a larger point to that N’neka/Portia scene, right?!? Lol Anvils dropping….maybe.
