A distant relative (who was invited to and attended the wedding) posted on FJ that it was another Duggar who had been in the hospital, and that Pickles didn't know WTF she was talking about (surprise, surprise). She did say it was possible JD had been in the hospital also, but she had no knowledge of it. Apparently, Deanna was sighted making a visit to a local neuro ICU.

Somehow I don't think not liking something is an option in their household, with Jill's cult mentality and Derick's being an asshole.

Well, there was that awkward honeymoon car video where she was clearly upset, which would seem to indicate that some expectation of hers wasn't met, which in turn suggests she has some sort of emotional investment in Josiah.

Sierra has a series of live videos on her Instagram stories where she offers a "tutorial" on how she curls her hair. Personally, I think the curls she wears are as hideous as the Duggar curls, and her hair is about a foot too long, but she comes across as really quick witted, self-aware, yet with knowledge of things outside of herself and her circle, and fun to be around. Maybe Jill cpuld take personality lessons from her?

Isn't it amazing that they're likely earning upwards of $1000/month (totally guessing; maybe someone who knows more about how this works can post more accurate figures) for Jill's mediocre (being generous here) attempts at food blogging? Then again, this is the family that has previously made millions just by broadcasting their prolific breeding to the world.

I think it's like Jill with her Yays. Being an asshole (in order to make himself feel better) is all he's got, so he's going to cling to it for all it's worth.

Someone pointed out a while back that one of the key differences between Jill and the other sisters is who she married, and in the context of their culture, I think this is particularly relevant. The husbands are the leaders of the family; Duggar females have been, perhaps more so than even other fundies, trained not to think for themselves or have any independent ambition. Jeremy and Ben seem to be the encouraging type, and also the type to prefer healthy eating (we know the latter holds true for sure about Ben). Naturally, these traits and preferences will also shape Jinger and Jessa's future attitudes and choices. Derick, on the other hand, is stubborn, defensive, and just nasty (I always flash back to his "You get a job, Betsy" retort on Twitter). It's really no surprise that Jill isn't growing at all in the environment he sets the tone for.

Isn't this the same old shit he's been parroting forever whenever someone questions what they eat? He needs some new lines. Oh, and Anna (whose recipe it is) stated that even her own kids refuse to eat that garbage.

I was impressed that she used a wide range (for her) of actual words and seemed appropriately interactive with him. Of course she had to ruin it by throwing in a "are you happy?" in there, but otherwise she was a different person than we've seen in the videos with her own family.

I agree that Jill lacks personality. Derick has one; it's just gross and unattractive.
