Jinger has clearly been taking care of her hair post Jeremy. It looks so much healthier, and it seems like it might be layered, which is a great look if you are going to insist on keeping it long. The other Duggar sisters' hair is a hot mess comparatively (I would say Jessa's is the worst of them all).

Jesus Christ, again? Is it written into the contract, or something? Although when I look at the dress, it makes sense. It does look like it was probably originally a strapless gown that had material added to make straps. Also, I've been so thrown off by how different Abbie looks from when we've seen her on the show. I think it's that her eyebrows are thicker and not as arched. It's fascinating to me how different eyebrows can alter a person's appearance so much.

What's fucked up about it is that it's Jill who starts all the focus on who is winning by making Iz answer the questions about who is winning; then when he naturally asks follow-up questions, he's completely ignored. What I've noticed about Jill and Derick is that they don't seem to respect their kids as people the way that their siblings/in-laws do. I understand that a young child isn't going to be capable of understanding things in the way an adult can, but that doesn't mean you can talk about them right in front of them as if they're not there (which they have both done in videos Jill has posted) or ignore them when you think they are saying things that are not important (which Jill in particular does constantly). Their attitude is really condescending and belittling (which should actually come as no surprise given the statements Derick has made previously about children) and speaks volumes about the kind of people they are.

Ahem, I think JD will be "stabby" later tonight but in a different sense, perhaps ?? (Sorry, I had to!)

Minus Jill, you mean? In any case, agreed. They are working and have been since childhood.

I only made it to "holding hands without being betrothed," at which point I straight up guffawed :D

Based on that car video we saw of them on their honeymoon, it's possible Josiah might have, but I certainly doubt Lauren did.

They look like summer rolls, which I think we've seen Derick/Jill eat before. Whose house are they in? Has Joy finally gotten out of the camper?

What's controversial about this? Anna looks like herself to me.

Jill's made a lot of disgusting crap, but this is the first photo that actually literally triggers my gag reflex every time I scroll past it. And would that much cinnamon spark a coughing fit, or would cooking dull the effect?

Maybe her "friend's" the Hackels loaned it to her?

Alyssa is the one who, as an adult, shockingly did not know the compass directions when the family was playing a game of pictionary. I mean, North, South, East, West--she got every single one wrong. That scene really disabused me of any illusions that Kelly was better in the homeschooling department than Michelle.

I think the thing was that Josie could not be medically cleared to return home unless X amount of time elasped or a doctor flew with them. They opted for the latter. I always assumed TLC footed the bill.

Jill is just an idiot. Derick is too, but at least he's doing something by getting Sam off the table. But Jill says he's already fallen more than once, but she continues to just stand there and film him, I guess for its entertainment value? And then when Israel approaches Sam to help (presumably), Jill immediately says, "don't touch him," and Israel asks, "why?" and (of course) gets ignored. At least they are consistent in terms of their mediocrity.

I think he gets it from dear old dad. One of Derick's eyes is bigger than the other, and if you look at old (baby) pics of Israel, this similarity has been present from the start.
-
More likely he's just accustomed to Jill's pressuring him to be quick to perform for the camera, and now he's doing it to Sam in turn.

At this point, I'd say she just doesn't give a fuck (it also doesn't help that her IQ apparently doesn't breech the triple digits). Generally speaking, I don't think the Duggars have ever learned to try to do things well. At most, they just do them. Jill's half-assed attempts at food blogging is just an example of this.

Haaaaa! I'm reminded just now that Jill posted a video in that most recent blog dump of hers of that night she took the boys with dinner to Derick's school and they ate in one of the break rooms there. They actually have Sam strapped into his stroller, and he's straining against the straps trying to move/get out. The video goes on for another minute or two and no one makes a move to get him out. Israel asks for a "cutie," and Derick goes to peel him one. Now, I don't have kids. Is there any valid purpose for this in this kind of context, or is this a likely example of lazy parenting?

This reminds me of Michelle feeding the kids instant noodles for lunch and telling the camera it was because they were "full of protein."

Dude, that broccoli is the best thing going on on that plate.

Is she also sorting laundry at the same time? She's a stay-at-home mom with two kids. What makes her life so busy that she needs to do this level of multitasking? Or did she drag the laundry basket in there so they would have something to dry off with and put on after they get out of the tub? Once again, Jill's post leaves more questions than it does answers.

I don't think this requires any pushing; just maintenance of the status quo. Given her upbringing, it probably comes easily to her.
