The GCEh?C: Canadian Episodes (Spoilers for Non-Canadians)

Maybe you can get Victor to sell the Downtown to evil developers. I hear that you get a lake with boats on it as well as wider streets. -

She did a scene in "My Name is Earl" as a drunken, pill-popping mother of one of his friends (a flashback Earl was having of his pre-teen years) and was the funniest ever. She had the part down, as a capris-clad, push-up bra, stoned, flirty over-the-hill mom. Loved it. -

I was wondering why he looked like a 'mad scientist' type-and so familiar-and then saw the Krieger/Archer clip and realized he is a cartoon! And why do the 'specialists' Victor flies in always have those stupid goatees? -

Maybe they should all watch Coming Home, preferably while Michael is having chemo. -

I called foul when I first saw this-too much serendipity. But....I do think Kelly set up the dress thing and then when Jack showed up alone and said something about Red showing up later, Kelly maaaybe could have run off and drained the gas. That was a real stretch for me. The phone-just a luck break for Kelly. I don't think she set that up, but figured that on New Year's Eve Phyliss would have a hard time getting a cab or a tow and would be late. But Kelly needed her there to have the dress thing work. Phyl would have called Jack to come pick her up-the dead phone was just the cherry on Kelly's revengesundae. I really don't think Kelly knows who she is playing with-especially now that the coma juice may be causing neuron snaps. -
Well, now I know why Gabadam and Sage didn't just say they were married. We have to let Sage 'get to know' Nick so she can find out all those boreding school (yes, correct spelling) hijinks. Writers: I don't give a damn about a sunken boat, expellation, big brother history that happened off screen. Come up with some better way for Nick to boink Sage. Jeebus, wouldn't an affair with a married woman be enough tension? There's fresh hay in the barn. Instead of security cameras, I say surround the castle with a moat full of rusty, illegal bear traps. Peach, I think you outdid yourself on this recap-as others have said, there's not much to work with in the last few episodes. You knitting with two needles?

Several have commented on whether the show is getting better or this board. Little of one, lots of the other. I lurked on TwoP for years and then came here and did not have the balls to contribute. I even felt guilty because I enjoy the comments so much and get my necessary daily laugh (really! my doctor said I needed to laugh more!) But about the time Peach started her recaps and people started to think about their comments, not just react, the board became even more interesting. And I notice that there are a lot more people contributing because I'm running out of coffee when I read it. I'm going to have to visit twice a day just so I get some exercise. (also doc's orders). I think the writers or show whoever read these forums and it does influence some of the writing and casting. Still some pretty unbelievable plots/twists but casting scored a couple times. Anyhow-yes, this is getting better and that's what happens when you put in your 10,000 hours. I thank all of you for your insights, humor and class (because this is the nicest group to have a disagreement with) and my doctor says, keep it up. Happy New Year!

Yeah, I forgot to add to my list that all the while she's 'mixing' these drinks she's bitching. Hey, customers hear that stuff-keep it in the back room. I like Mariah when she's with Kevin, too, but the rest of the story of being Cassie's Clone (too close to Cathy's Clown, for the old folks out there) is dumb. Pick a lane-compromise with your biologicals and try to be family or leave. Being pissed for the past doesn't really make anything better.

Continuity is one of my many hangups. Bad continuity almost ruined Cat on a Hot Tin Roof for me just because of the bourbon pouring/drinking scene with Big Daddy and Brick. Anyhow, back from my old person ramble-Mariah clearly pours gin (or maybe vodka) into two iced glasses, pulls up a bottle of tonic (or soda), then opens the bottle but does not pour anything into the glasses, slides behind Asstin to grab a couple of cherries (!) to plop in the glass and then carries them by hand to her non-tipping customers. I consulted my craft-cocktail bartender son and no, there's no new drink the incorporates cherries and gin/vodka. Although he did say, diplomatically, that you can really put anything in a drink you want. How this bar stays open is beyond me-quick, call Bar Rescue!

I missed this so apparently you are watching this foolishness better than I am. (I need Peach back soon LOL, she 'splains things to me confused brain). But I don't understand why Sage wouldn't have told Constance about the marriage-it might have cheered her up and hiding it doesn't seem necessary since it looks as if Constance liked Sage. I don't understand this whole Castle in the Woods dynamic anyhow. Who are these people? I think we should have a Child Elimination game. My first candidates are the hyper-twins. -

Read the fine print! Saay, what? I agree, Bannana, that it will really throw a wrench into Adam's plans and I have a feeling Sage has a much different plan for him. But I hate how we the viewers got this info. The old lady dies (and, wow, Kellerman was not getting paid by the hour for that scene-Gabeghost,panic, slump and cut!) and next thing we know the will's being read. (Next to the bare mattress-tasteful,show). I call foul on this being the first time Adam/Gabe knows he's married because Constance was pretty lucid during her final weeks and would have said something like "your husband means so much to me, Sage" or you're the bestest daughter in law ever or something to tip Adam off. He and Sage sat around the old lady like they were brother and sister-not newlyweds. I don't mind surprises/twists in a story if what leads up to it makes sense, (as in Sixth Sense). It would have been so easy for Sage to mention they are supposed to be married the many times she nagged him about being in GC. He didn't have to agree-just act like it for the old lady. Sheeesh. Stupid plot twist. -
Cracked me up, too. I had the same flash of Bette Davis. Someone must be watching the old movies 'cause the dress thing was "Rebecca" for me. And another golden 'peachism': " she takes some champagne from a servant. " Caught Kelly's new confident mood perfectly-event planner extroidinaire, indeed. Jack, run fast and far-this will come to no good.

I just got who Phyliss reminds me of - Joan Crawford, the Mildred Pierce years. She's as cuddly as a barbed-wire teddy bear. Really (mean)tough but everyone calls her "beautiful" and talented. She just scares the victor out of me when she walks in a room. (Both Joan Crawford and Phyl). Thanks again, Peach-you're spot on, as usual. Have a wonderful time in the Wilderness and watch out for any illegal beartraps.

Haven't seen the show. Please don't tell me that the wee Katie is in a manger. And where are you going to find three wise men in GC? -
Rant on: Does Victor not have anything else to do in his life? He just got done messing with Phyliss' brain/health and Summer's DNA and god-knows-what-else (while his wife with MS goes on a very obvious bender) and now he sends a spy into Jabot? (Maybe Ashley and Stitch and Abby shouldn't have talked company secrets in the coffee house-secrets get Victor's motor runninng.) Can't you take a break here, Mr. Mobile Doom? Taking Jack's Christmas tree?!? And then ALL the trees when Jack steps down? Somebody dump a truckload of coal on him-or, yeah, use him as a woodchipper for the biggest tree in the lot. (An even better idea, Ninja.) And taking off the glasses doesn't mean you won't be recognized, FakeNerd. Especially when you are sitting in a park pretending not to be talking to the very obvious (and seemingly everywhere at once) Victurd. That only worked for Superman. Geez, at least put a phone to your ear or something- rant over-no more coffee.

Because it made more sense than Cricket actually getting pregnant. :D -
Shout out to MS: “Let’s face it, Jack, life went on without me. Hallucinating drunk and walks into a bear trap = Father of the Year! I want to see Mariah (Most Inspirational Powers), Phyliss (Limitless Drug Powers), Adambrial (Shortest Route to Pure Sense Powers) and Noah (Jesus) join forces and become the Disinherited Mutant League and just wreak havoc on GC. And Kevin could be the Doctor who keeps their powers in check. I didn't watch this episode but I'm loving Adam-and glad, Peach, that you got to experience what the rest of us do everytime you recap.("Omg, that made me laugh so hard I had trouble typing.") Apparently, the lunatic (per Sage) who put the old, rusty bear trap in the woods went out and oiled it everyday so drunken daddy could step in it, Noah.
