Actually, Miss "DO YOUR HOMEWORK!!" shows up unprepared pretty much all the time.

On Friday's show, the ever humble Whoopi "discussing" ambassadorships stated that she had wanted to be the ambassador to Prague. First of all, ambassadors are not appointed to a city, but to a country. Then she modestly admitted that she had been an ambassador "to the UN". Uh....in fact she was a UNICEF "goodwill ambassador", a largely ceremonial position given BY the UN to mostly celebrities. There is a HUGE difference! (She probably called her house "the embassy" during her gig.

is anyone worried that Lucille Soong was not in this episode? When older cast members "go away to visit relatives" I always get nervous (Coach in Cheers....)

I have become convinced that some clause in Whoopi's Disney/ABC contract must require her to dress like one of the seven dwarfs.

I sorta love watching Joy when Miss Whoopi bellows out her increasingly lengthening "welcome to the view" chant. She stares down at her blue cards, comes up stone-faced. I can only imagine what she is saying in her mind.

Regarding the new theme song, i neither like nor dislike it. However, almost every day last week and also yesterday, they mentioned that it was the View's "very first original theme song in 20 years." Uh, did they forget that month-long search contest for a theme song and even had the winner perform it, played it maybe once after and then abandoned it?

As for Whoopi sitting in the center, my guess is that she stumbled upon a picture of Da Vinci's "the last supper" and had a light bulb over the head moment.

i know we are not supposed to engage personally, but a lot of us actually LIKE sara haines and it's a bit offensive to have her constantly referred to as "airhead". There are certainly airheads at that table - raven,whoopi lead the race, but sara is not one of them, she is thoughtful, articulate, nice and smart. /

on the subject of whoopi usually not knowing what the hell she is talking about (yet speaking as if she just finished her thesis on the subject), the other day she referred to a woman as wearing a "habib". Habib is a male Muslim name. The correct word for the short female head covering is "hijab". Personally, I wish whoopi would wear a NIQAB (which covers from head to floor and only a small slit for eyes , and even that is often covered by translucent film). To think that there was once a time when I was rooting for her to join the table!

re: yesteday - "view your deal", i was so relieved to see someone other than Stacy London standing there, that is, UNTIL she opened her mouth and started flapping her hands, and i thought to myself, "they have finally perfected CLONING!"

on yesterday's show during the good housekeeping shill, Raven utters another GEM (I swear she should be in crown jewels collection) about the food home delivery service " People think they are saving money by eating out, but...." HUH???? yeah, i know i always eat out to save money!

Who wants to bet that Whoopi, when her pay cut kicks in, extends her bellowing "welcome to the view" to fill the entire first segment? (I love Joy's stone face when Miss W is chanting).

ok, while this cannot be a drinking game due to danger of severe alchohol poisoning, is anyone willing to take a count of just how many times Miss Whoopi says "you know" during a whole show? (you will need an extra pen)

just finished watching Wednesday's show. Was the theme "male narcissists and the women who kiss their asses"?

I just finally added "partnered with vendors" to my "phrases that make me puke" list.Stacy London's over the top orgasmic description of these bargain basement/failed Shark Tank items, along with her arm flapping are laughable. She belongs more on QVC (maybe she could "partner" with Elizabeth?). Oh, and i fantasize that some cool person in hair and makeup covers her skunk streak without her noticing it!

Miss Whoopi, in her failed attempt to be humble and gracious (another shtick as old and tired as her Valley Girl accent) also deprived a (probably) deserving charity of a $10,000 donation.

re: yesterday's show Miss Whoopi outdid herself in her display of moderating "skills" during the Lewis Black segment. If she EVER did a little prep work, she might not have to squint at the monitor and stumble over her word salad and then make scowly faces. For any normal person, that would have been a major embarrassment. To resurrect an old protest chant , " HEY HEY! HO HO! That Stacy London's GOTTA GO!... HEY HEY..."

A day late a and a dollar short, but I was shocked to find myself thinking that in yesterday 's "food fight",Sherri (for the first time in my memory) the LEAST frantic and overacting!

does anyone else think that Miss Whoopi's increasingly elongated and almost belligerant bellowing of "welcome to the view,y'all X10..." might be one of her strategies to get her ass fired?

i sure hope Miss Whoopi doesn't present the Oscar to Leonardo deCaprio for his performance in "REVELANT" (yes, she actually said that!). Girl needs some serious teleprompter practice.

ok, this may be slightly petty (so sue me), but i noticed on last thursday's show that Whoopi greeted the audience with not 1, not 2, not even 3, but 4!!! screaming "WELCOME TO THE VIEW,Y'ALL" s. She did it again on Monday (haven't seen today's show yet). I notice that Joy, when moderating, makes a point of keeping a simple welcome. The evil part of me thinks it is just the Whoopster trying to use up as much time as possible so that she won't have to actually THINK. Any thoughts?
