Is this a remake of the original with Ciri as Charlton Heston?
Maybe it a similar story, but I don't think so.

So it looks like CBS switched up the scheduling for the first few episodes; "Missoula" will air as the second episode Feb. 18th, and "Springland" third instead.

I ... don't like whoever's been cutting these particular trailers.

Yeah with half-hour shows there's usually only one ad.
I'm not saying that Season 1 was all bad, but I'm glad they got better later on.

heh- I mean, yeah. But the problem for me is that Craig is right next to Barrie, who is clearly talented at comedic performances.

So the entire series is up on Tubi right now; I remember watching some of this as a kid when it was aired on PBS, so I decided to just watch from the start. And I've been reading bits of trivia and BTS info.
(I'm sure I'm not saying anything that hasn't been already said about the show in the past 30 years!)
So far I've finished the first 2 seasons; and I didn't remember anything from those, so it seems like I had only seen parts of series 3-6 in the 90's. Which I hear are the best seasons, so looking forward to the rest.
Man, I'd forgotten how short British seasons can be! Only six episodes for a sitcom?? Anyway, Season 1 was ROUGH. And bold of them to keep introducing concepts and future plot lines that they might never pay off. Season 2 was definitely an improvement.
I appreciated some of the risks they took; but they also had a problem of not actually having conclusions to stories. And you know this was written by dudes when pregnancy is used as a punchline, and then they never actually follow through on the repercussions of that.
And I guess this is easier to see now than when I was a kid, but while Craig Charles is funny and all, you can tell he's not really an actor. Now I'm reading that Barrie didn't have much acting experience either, but I feel he did better.

Finally finished Season 2, and I'd forgotten that they ended the finale without Lois actually answering Clark's proposal! That was a crazy cliffhanger!
Anyway, I thought that the subplot with Scardino as a love interest for Lois played out WAY better than the one with Mayson. They didn't even try with that one.
I'd mentioned cheesiness before, but actually the episodes near the end of the season weren't so cheesy.
And it's cool to recognize some of the guest actors they had on; Adam West (!!) in that episode where Superman gets sued was great! Probably the closest they got to having Batman on the show.

The show had a panel at SCAD TV Fest, btw.

I for sure thought being mostly undressed in a hotel room together was broadcast family friendly tv shorthand for definitely had sex.
Even for a "family friendly" show, they could have done more to get that point across, if that is what they wanted the audience to know, but they didn't. (I'd say they were more dressed than undressed, but clearly mileage varies.)
But it's not even just the clothing situation; the scene before doesn't really set up a sex scene either.

And, strangely, I actually would like to see Dev Patel offered a cameo in future seasons - the poor guy should at least get to appear in a *good* Avatar remake.
I didn't even think about the movie actors, but yeah, actually there are a few that would be cool cameos as well. Those names would be harder and more expensive to get, though.

I don't think Ben and Hannah ever had sex, so why would he wonder if the child was his?
Besides this, the kid wouldn't be Ben's in any case.

(Maybe we should start a media topic?)
With the emphasis on Asian talent in this project, the nostalgia factor, and the fact that he's still alive and well, is there any chance Dante Basco is not going to at least have a cameo in this?
I have my idea of which role he could play, but I'd take whatever. I don't really follow him, but it doesn't seem like he's made any public comments about this adaptation. (But he might not be able to.)

So there's going to be a 'docu-series' on ID about Dan Scheider:
QuoteThe allegedly toxic environment behind Dan Schneider‘s Nickelodeon empire is now being uncovered in a four-part docuseries.
Amid allegations of abuse and assault, Schneider’s legacy as the showrunner of hit series like “All That,” “iCarly,” and “Zoey 101” is being reframed. The ID documentary “Quiet on Set” exposes the dangerous culture behind some of the most iconic children’s shows of the late 1990s and early 2000s.

It would be weird if they didn't connect Hannah to the present day Quantum Leap Project; even indirectly. They have to, right? I'd prefer if Hannah was directly involved somehow (maybe with the original QLP?), but if it's her children instead, that works too.

This episode kind of pushed me into the hating Addison territory when I've mostly been tolerating her. I knew they probably weren't going to move on from the chem-free Ben/Addison pairing but having her agree to marry her boyfriend, decide to elope and then tell him that she actually doesn't want to marry him and needs space just makes her seem awful.
Well, I'm not there yet, but I have started to fastforward her non-leap related scenes. But agreed that that subplot was dumb and makes her look bad.

Unless they are finally going to move on from the original set of toys, I'm not in favor of yet another Toy Story. TS4 was okay, but I wasn't a fan of the direction they took with Woody (and Bo Peep, to a lesser extent).
Pretty neutral on the other sequels; although Zootopia is the only one I think naturally has more stories to tell.

Was it just me, or did the rest of you get suspicious of Elena after the first time plans went south on bringing in Kevin?
Yes! Because how would the bad guys know exactly which bus they were on?
I thought Ben and Hannah made a great team; but they need to stop doing stuff in front of people that would be unexplainable!

Okay, I re-watched; and yes, consent issues (kissing), but I don't think they had sex. This show seems to aim to stay 'PG', so they obviously wouldn't show that, but I don't think it was implied either.
QuoteThis love square cannot die fast enough.
Is it a "love" square if no one cares about two of the corners? But seriously, don't know how Ben/Hannah is going to work out, but they'd be fools to put him back Addison after Hannah, who has WAY more chemistry with Ben and a more compelling 'time-crossed lovers' arc.
