  1. I accidentally spoiled myself on James Frain being in this episode, but still a cool surprise. Way more welcome than completely unnecessary and unwanted Addison relationship drama.

Can we get literally anyone else to be the hologram again, please??

I too was confused on exactly when this story was taking place. Because I was trying to figure out how appropriate or not it was that the sisters were wearing pants out and about.

::sigh:: I guess I just have to accept that they're just going to use Rachel for plot twists, and nothing else. Disappointing.

Leap of the week was good; I did like that it focused on three sisters.

Am I the only one thinking that Ian looked kind of ill?

Their eyebrows were bleached -- at least that's what threw me off.

I'm shocked that they haven't even tried to research where Hannah is in the present day, or if she's passed, how her life went. At least I can't remember them mentioning anything. Like, that would be the first thing I'd do after Ben ran into her A SECOND TIME!

I think there was a throwaway line about her present day life the third time Ben met Hannah; but I agree, it would make sense for the team to investigate Hannah. And for Ben to be asking more questions about her, at least.

  2. Obviously, it a different situation with him being the lead character and a producer; but it's still amazing to me how many interviews Jesse L. Martin has done for his new show than for all nine seasons of The Flash.

His show, The Irrational, was renewed for a 2nd season, BTW.

  3. It looks like the episode titles will be named after the towns that Colter visits.

    Episode 2 synopsis:

    Quote

"Springland" - As Colter helps a young woman locate her free-spirited sister, he digs deeper into how her last days may lead to a dark secret she unearthed in this tight-knit town, on the CBS Original series TRACKER, Sunday, Feb. 18 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network and also available on the CBS app and streaming on Paramount+*.

    DIRECTED BY: Ken Olin

  4. Research assistants are still irrelevant. The church bombing mystery is still weirdly detached from the rest of the show. But Alec/JLM is still a highlight.

I get the reason why the arsonist torched her father's house; but did they explain why the other arsons? I don't know if I care enough to re-watch.

  5. Almost 3/4 through Season 2; and okay, maybe the show was slightly cheesier than I remembered. Some episodes more than others. This happenss with female characters/actresses all the time, but I hadn't realized how much they played up the sex appeal of Clark in this. As opposed to him being a "mild-mannered" nerd in most adaptations before this.

And I've really noticed how they had always had Clark (and some other male characters) in these boldly-patterned neckties. I'm sure it's partly a 90's thing; but I grew up in the 90's, and I don't remember that being a specific trend. (But maybe that's just me.)

The whole thing with bringing in Mayson as an alternative love interest for Clark was a good idea, but poorly executed. She wasn't even around enough, and she and Clark were barely together when she was there. They didn't show Clark caring enough about her, I think.

I've never really known much about the BTS of this show, but I wonder what the deal was with Lex Luthor only returning for one episode? At the very least, I think it should have been a two-parter, after building up his return in the first half of the season. Was that all that John Shea was willing to do, for whatever reasons?

  6. A bunch of technical(?) issues tonight; my broadcast didn't have the goodbyes.

Home Videos: The reveal of the Maury sketch was the first big laugh I had in the episode. They completely nailed the look of the show so much. You really gotta wonder if those kids ever found out if their parents ever appeared on Maury. They oldest ones gotta be around Dismukes's age by now.

Yep, they nailed the whole vibe! I bet if Povich was younger, he might have been down to appear as himself.

    Big Dumb Cups

Loved it! Would also love to see a BTS of how they kept switching out those various cups!

Bowen's Ethan character was weird, but I was oddly entranced by it? I hope he comes back. I liked Heidi's tarot reader character. I hope she comes back. It was refreshing for Che to be the butt of the feature instead of Colin for once.

Normally Heidi's WU characters are more 'miss' than hit for me, but I hope these two come back.

    Yeah, Timberlake was rusty.

Tell me about it! That was great.

It says it right in the article, they are introducing a Black Actor as Superman in this movie.

No; that's an assumption/rumor from "sources". Statements from people actually involved have never mentioned that. My issue is people reporting rumors as fact.

James Gunn Shares Short but Positive Update on Elseworlds Black Superman Project

::Sigh::  I wish people would stop reporting it as "the black Superman project" when no one ever said that's what it is. Who knows, maybe they'll be doing Val-Zod, but people assuming that as fact just because a Black creator is attached is a problem.

  10. 'Producers Reveal Secrets From New Trailer'

    excerpt:

    Quote

Kim: This is the attack on the Southern Air Temple by the Firebenders, and it's really the event that kicks off this whole epic journey. Now, what's interesting is this is a scene that was never seen in the original series. In other interviews, I've talked a lot about how one of the reasons for doing this adaptation is to fill in the gaps. And this, to me, was one of the big gaps in the original series. And there's a good reason why they didn't do it. But for us, I felt it was very important that we needed to see the event, the genocide of the Air Nomads, and this is the event that the Fire Nation attacked and everything changed. And so we get to portray that and show exactly the horrors that start here and then have lasting repercussions for the next century of the world.

I just can't see Ryan performing in front of that crowd.

Neither can I.  What could he possibly gain by performing?  They should get a proper comedian(s) to perform it, like Robin Williams and Blame Canada.

Did Gosling do any performances when La La Land was up for awards? I think he might; plus he's got a new movie to promote.

If he doesn't perform, I can see Simu Liu stepping in; he is also a Ken who sings.
