Heh, yeah, I know how tough it can be, trying to balance ideas for more than one fandom :p. I'm bouncing around and plotting out ideas for a few fandoms as well.

Yep it definitely is because I always have some ideas and then my muse just doesn't want to go there I guess.. for another fandoms, but hey I'd rather have a lot of ideas than none at all I think that's worse for a writer.

I only half watched and missed the new Beverly Rose entirely . So her voice coming out of the bathroom was  a shock for me.
So this she should mean that  her Dad has made it past the two year mark and can apply for a spousal visa  now?
I’m confused though - we are in season 4. What season was she born in again? How old is she really supposed to be?

I believe she was born in the season 2 premiere and I think she's supposed to be about 2 or 3 now and yes we are in season 4 now.

  3. I haven't written much for Dan & Louise just yet, but I hope to eventually as I do have an idea for a story I'd to explore for them. I'm really focused so much on Gemma/Nero at this time it's where my muse is and not only that it's also because I'm still trying to finish my multi chaptered story on them I've had going for a while now,

I don’t understand the furniture issue though. Between Dan and Louise, shouldn’t they have two houses’ worth of furniture to pick from? Why are they buying more? And even if you’re not the sentimental type, wouldn’t Louise want to pick out the bedroom set herself, or with Dan? Look at the Conner house, Dan clearly has terrible taste.

If I remember correctly Louise told Dan on the phone to pick what he wanted and they'd figure it out later on as she she couldn't pay for a new bedroom set because she had just paid for the big and fancy wedding she wanted.

John Goodman says gets lost over 200lbs. That's astounding. I'm so glad for him.

Great news! I can't wait to see what's gonna happen with Dan & Louise next (not counting the new bedroom set) which I can't wait to see.

It is pretty funny that all these reasonably attractive men only have eyes for Darlene.   But what's even crazier is that they're all ok with everything going on in the Conner house.   How many episodes now where they're physically fighting in the living room with company over.   I don't get the Dan and Louise relationship at all.   Why is Louise so crazy about dan?  Why does she want to live in that house at all?   I feel like we should have had some kind of explanation for that.   Normal people would take one look at the bitching and screaming and fighting and run screaming. It's also extremely unrealistic that Louise is just cool with dan parking her stuff on the porch because his grown kids come before her.   The entire Louise character is just there to be supportive and not bat an eye about any of the crap that Dan's loser kids and granddaughter pull.   The only thing I remember her saying is that she wants to be with dan because he's a good guy.   It's worth all of that for the privilege of being with Dan?

Harris is a nightmare, they should have kicked her ass out a long time ago.

Louise wants to be with Dan because she's wanted to have a relationship with him since high school (they were in the same class together along with Roseanne and Jackie they've all known each other for over 40 years) that's why it's been established since season 1. Louise's character being okay with everything including the kids and all it's just how she is, she's laid back and calm, she's her own person and character. As for why she wants to live there because it's where Dan is she's married to him now and loves him very much.

    Spoiler

FYI: This storyline with the furniture and everything isn't over it's going to be continuing into the next new episode on the 1st.

I could have written this post, except I think sustained goodness stopped even sooner. I think Season 6 was the cut off. Then, the show became just constant misery for eons. Some good episodes mixed in, as you said, but the glory days were done. Season 15 really was a rebound, and I don't think it is a coincidence that the classic characters returning for visits was a big reason for that.

Well actually now that I think about you do have a point about seasons 7 & 8 they were definitely sad and draining and ER definitely lost something there after Mark died.(and Anthony left)

    On S4 via podcast.

One of the things that surprises me about the newer generation of fans is just how hated Carter is today, how he’s called “arrogant” (especially after his rehab) and “a white savior.” Try as I might, I never saw the character that way. I always quite liked Carter and empathized with everything thrown his way as a series of unfortunate circumstances. I mean over the course of the show Chase ODs, he gets stabbed and has an addiction, his baby is stillborn and his grandmother’s funeral gets ruined. Given all that I can’t hate him! When I listen to the podcast it amazes me that the hosts seem to love shitting on characters like Mark and Carter. Did they have moments? Of course. But the early season crop headlined by those two, plus Doug and Carol, made the show. I just want to be like “have some respect and you kids get off my lawn.” 😂

I’m also surprised how popular the late seasons are with some of the new crop of fans. If you look up old message boards from the original airings of S12-14, there was plenty of chatter about the ratings being in the toilet and the show going downhill, so I’m always kind of baffled when someone says they gave up somewhere between S10-S13 and they get downvoted/disagreed with because us original fans are “just salty that their favorites left.” I think you can acknowledge that casts change (SVU has been on 23 years with its share of cast changes and a lot of fans would agree it’s no longer as good as it used to be) but also hate the direction they took the show in. I listen to the early seasons and hear fun moments like happy-go-lucky Morgenstern after his heart attack, the ER banquet, and the girls’ night at Elizabeth’s, plus all-time great episodes like Love’s Labor Lost and Exodus, and I hate knowing all that fun and camaraderie fades away in the late years. How many legendary episodes really came out of the series once Carter left anyway?

The later seasons for me are definitely NOT my favorites at all. I loved the earlier years myself [1 to 8]. but seasons 10-13 have some good episodes, of course season 14 being the worst for me and season 15 really rebounded, but my point is I definitely am the opposite and I agree it's definitely bizarre at how the later seasons get all this hype which I don't agree with that, but just my opinion.

All of the characters had their flaws, but why bash certain characters for? makes no sense.

Yeah, that was odd; rentals usually come with the appliances, at least. And did she really expect to just bring all her stuff into the house and replace all of Dan's? (They can't get rid of the couch!!) Also, they have facetime; he can still take her furniture shopping from a distance.

Though I'm pretty sure Scotch Guard isn't going to save the couch on the porch from the weather. Or critters.

Hopefully all of these questions will be answered in the next new episode on the 1st.

    What's this about?

That pizza they were eating looked awful.

Why would Louise bring her refrigerator? Don't you pretty much have to leave that? And if they're doubling up on appliances, just pick whichever is newest/better. That's an easy fix.

I think Dan gave in to easily anyway. Those kids are all freeloaders.

Katey was hit by a car back in October(a few weeks ago) and she's still recovering from her injuries at the moment, she only retuned to work this past Friday.

    Spoiler

The Dan & Louise is going to be continued in the next new episode 4x08 so this isn't the end of it just yet

, but that's a good question about the refrigerator though.

  13. Loved this episode.

Dan & Louise loved their scenes of course. I just love how fair Louise is (I knew she would be) I loved her ideas and it definitely was a great suggestion to have Dan buy what he wanted and them to change the bedroom and start new as husband & wife. I was surprised that Louise's band was going back on the road and that's great, but I don't want her to leave. I can't wait to see the continuation of Dan & Louise's storyline.

Harris & Darlene I could see both sides here, but Harris was being horrible to her mother. Harris and Aldo I don't think it's gonna last.

Jackie's strew train thing was funny at the beginning.

Can't wait for the next episode which is on the 1st..ugh repeat again

John discussing on The Talk earlier today how Katey is doing after her accident and according to him, she's doing well, came back on Friday, but is still a bit shaken up rightfully so.

I'm so glad she getting back on the mend...slowly.
