Finally got to see the finale, and now I'm even more sad that this show was canceled. I really enjoyed this - the characters, the stories, the casting, and the somewhat authentic relationships. A generous mix of drama, combined with comedy, mystery and challenging conversations. There wasn't a lot of violence (I don't do well with bloody scenes - they're torture for me), and that's refreshing.

Andy Garcia's performance was excellent and I thought his daughter, Daniella (who played Maddie) was also very good. Actually, I thought the whole cast was great!

So glad you enjoyed the finale, don't give up yet as we are trying very hard to find the show a new home, but it's taking some time and hopefully we'll succeed.

I thought both “pretty woman” actress (blanking on her name at this moment), and Katie Sagal were both well-cast for the boldness of the character. What I remember about the daughter from the movie: timid, but stubborn, indicates Ziggy was well-cast and played as well. I don’t remember so many actual (biological) family members in the movie. Just many very close friends she had helped in the past, so she relied upon them like family.

Katey's character Rebel is only loosely based on Erin Brockovich and Rebel isn't really based on that movie much as Rebel the person is her own character with similarities to Erin and Katey made up Rebe's backstory herself. So the show is similar in some respect, but way different in others.

I didn’t believe a word of it (but then, again, it’s Rebel, so….). All I could think of during that rant was the proverbial grandfather lecture about walking 10 miles to school, uphill both ways!

Oh I believed it, but it's like you said Rebel, but okay.

While I will miss Andy Garcia in this show; not so much Katy Sagal and the Ziggy character.  Thought they were so over the top.

Katey's character Rebel is supposed to like that though! it's how she is too much and loud, she's her own character and only loosely based on Erin Brockovich. I'm sorry you don't like her or Ziggy, but I personally love them both and will miss them terribly 😢 Plus I'm so gonna miss Rebel & Lana's friendship too and of course Katey & Tamala they are adorable in their skits they did on instagram #BatmanRobinDuo

  4. Well I've been so upset to say anything. I wanted to settle and collect my thoughts.
What an amazing 2 hours, I loved every minute!

First off I can't believe Rebel was arrested for doing absolutely nothing wrong at all...I was so angry by that! Damn press didn't help either. Grady was the one drunk NOT Rebel. I wanted to kill Grady so badly.

Rebel was once again hilarious!! with both Nate with that statement about his birth (which he didn't really want to hear, but it worked to Rebel's advantage!) Of course her little tirade to Cruz that was too funny!!

I was so glad Ziggy was alright and apparently was in court the whole time.. that scare really broke my heart because poor Rebel was so exhausted and stressed.
Once again Rebel & Lana.. god I'm gonna them so much!! So glad they were able to figure out what Cartson was talking about with the cat and they found they needed to nail Stonemore I was so excited for them and they were able to reach a settlement that so awesome as well.

I was shocked Sean was working for Stonemore I didn't expect that at all, but I felt for him by the time Rebel questioned him he didn't do it for greed, but for legit reasons, but it was still wrong to scare the hell out of Rebel like that (and Grady as much as I hate to admit it). So glad Ziggy was found safe and sound I was so worried there for a minute.

I couldn't believe what Stonemore did to Cartson and Randall...ugh they are even sicker than I thought, but so glad Randall was okay after a while and poor Cartson Stonemore is so evil!!

Ugh Cassidy I couldn't believe she questioned Misha like that and used that information on her that Nate told her in confidence that was so low!!
Ziggy it's official she's so alike her mother it's not even funny I'm gonna so miss their relationship I loved them so much!!

I'm so glad Lana talked Rebel about Cassidy and why she feels the way she does against Rebel, Rebel needed that and there wasn't a better person to get through to her than her sister in law and best friend, Lana.

So glad they got Sean's brother, Danny is alright and safe.

That ending I loved it, but it was bittersweet and I was so sad, but it seems they left it open ending so that seems like a good sign to me.

Praying & hoping there's more seasons to come with this awesome show because it so deserves it there's more stories to tell with Rebel & her family!

The cancellation of this show is really hitting hard.  I like how all of them came together at the end. I do think Nate forgave Cassidy WAY to quickly.  That was just horrible what she did.  I wish ABC gave this show another season. 10 episodes are not enough to judge. They cancelled it after 6 episode, so unfair.

It's definitely hitting me too so I know exactly how you feel I'm still emotional...I'll never forgive ABC for this!

I sincerely hope that Rebel gets picked up by another network or channel.

Me too as I've loved it from day one! I want to let it go yet I can't I love it way too much. We are still trying to find it a new home according to Katey from her recently done (yesterday) Instagram video.

    Ditto every word.

I think having Big Brother inside your home is a slippery slope at best and dangerous at worst.  I wouldn't want cameras in my house or wherever I live.

    Agree on both couples:  Meh.

Why was Rebel arrested?  She fell off a boat!  Maybe because she wasn't wearing regulation life jacket?  That's cold and chickenshit if so.  Grady is more than a son of a dick.  I hate him.  I also hate his it's always about the money bullshit.

The good news for Rebel is the ten-year time has passed so their marriage will be adjudicated in court accordingly.  Remember, Shady Grady was planning on filing before the ten-year anniversary so he wouldn't have to pay?

So glad you agree with my post.

I was so confused by Rebel being arrested too. I didn't even think about the life jacket, but can you even get arrested for that? that definitely seems such a pathetic and ridiculous thing to get arrested for. I can't see Rebel doing something to Grady in her state she fell off the boat and was in the water and what made me even more angry is Grady just left her there too didn't even check to see if she was okay or not, what a gentleman (being sarcastic) He obviously was able to hear her as she was yelling loud enough...ugh just makes me so angry!! Grady doesn't deserve Rebel at all. I'm just disgusted with Grady and I don't think he was even that drunk he knew what he was dong I'm sure of it.

To me Rebel is way too good for him too and way too smart, but she is a victim in this mess so is Ziggy so I feel for them so much especially Rebel.

Yes I agree hopefully now they'll really divorce because they need too.. this is enough!

  7. Wow this show just keeps on getting better and better.

I'm so mad at Grady it's official I literally hate him so much for what he's done to his family especially Rebel. I was really hoping him having a son wasn't true. I felt so bad for Lana being stuck in the middle there wanting to tell Rebel so badly, but not being sure how tell her either and probably wanting her to focus on the case. I was very surprised Lana didn't kill him.

OMG I can't believe the cameras in Rebel's house caught Ziggy & Sean having sex! Oh man and what a way to find out about Grady having a son I felt for Ziggy man that had to be very hard to hear. I'm back to my theory about Ziggy & Sean and Ziggy becoming pregnant with Sean's baby by the finale to me there's been too much foreshadowing on that.

Poor Rebel it broke my heart she was so angry with Grady rightfully so. I was so worried when she fell off that boat like that I thought she was gonna drowned, but thank goodness she knew how to swim. I don't think their marriage is gonna survive this at all I think this is the last straw for Rebel I think she's had enough and I don't blame her. I was so glad she was able to figure out another plan from the whistle blower mess and save the case once again.

It looks Amir is out of the picture and Luke & Cassidy are gonna be involved, but I don't really care for them much.

Nate & Misha still don't like them as a couple there are just there.

Next week...man that promo Rebel in jail? why? heartbreaking how she looks too, from what I saw she's the victim here not Grady and did nothing wrong. I think Grady might be up to something to get back at Rebel.

I had pretty much decided I wouldn't watch this any more, but since it's cancelled, I am going to watch the remaining episodes.

This one pulled me in and got me engaged more than the previous episodes.  I still have trouble keeping track of who's who, how they relate to Rebel, and what they're doing to further or thwart her cause.  Now it's more like a British series, which generally run a more limited number of episodes. I like that.

The Sharon Lawrence character Angela may be both, woman with cancer and a spy.  She sure looks guilty, even with her plausible explanation for being at the hospital.  Also glad Sean came clean, and now has a safe place to stay.

I predict Lana will be injured but OK, but Rebel will end up having to replace her reliable old vehicle.

Woodrow Flynn is Rebel's first husband and her son's Nate's father the doctor, Benji Ray is Rebel's second husband and father to Cassidy, Grady is her third husband who wants a divorce and Ziggy is their adopted daughter. Lana is Rebel's best friend and sister in law she's also Benji's sister. Grady and Rebel have been married 10 years they adopted Ziggy when she was 6 years old. Finally Cruz is Rebel's boss and Cruz's wife Sharon was Rebel's best friend. Luke isn't family to anyone including Rebel he just works at Benji's firm and Amir isn't related to Rebel either he just works there as well, but he is or was dating Cassidy, Rebel's daughter and Sean is dating Ziggy Rebel's youngest daughter. I hope this answer you're question about who is who.

  9. Once again I loved this episode!!

I'm was so happy to see Lana was okay after her car accident and of course loved Rebel being there for her as I knew she would be, they are inseparable.

The Rebel/Benji scene was great a lot of passion with it even though they were screaming at each other.

I loved seeing the Rebel/Sharon flashback that was a surprise, but sad too. I'm glad Rebel was trying to keep the promise that her best friend wanted her too for Cruz.

I liked Cruz's kids and I love that Cruz is going to be a grandfather.

It was funny with Lana playing lawyer that was so cool.

I was so glad they didn't end up disturbing Sharon's grave in the end glad Rebel sorted that out by them finding the whistleblower.

The race scene was awesome and Rebel got that teacher good!

Loved Ziggy and she did great with that speech.

I loved Rebel and Cruz as a family at the gravesite it was so sweet!!

Man that ending with Lana and Angela left me so shocked...Grady has a son! So the bastard cheated on Rebel while they were married!! Every time I try and like him he does something stupid and this no better!! Rebel is gonna kill him.. I think this will be the last straw with him.

In my opinion Grady is worse than Benji at this point.

    I can't wait for next week's episode!

  10. Against Rebel’s advice, Cruz turns to a familiar source to help dig up proof that proves the Stonemore valve is faulty. Elsewhere, Rebel, Cassidy and Grady come together to help Ziggy after learning that her friends have been unjustly expelled from school. Meanwhile, Lana continues to search for more information about Angela and instead is confronted with a shocking revelation.

That second episode on June 10 is the final one for the season/series, right?

So bummed ABC cancelled this; I hope the final episode provides a sense of closure. Though I would certainly be happy to see it picked up elsewhere, because I really like the cast.

Yes it’s the series finale and actually we just got word the show is being shopped around to another network(not ABC or Hulu) so hopefully someone will pick it up.

The ABC chief implied in an interview that the show’s streaming numbers were too soft, which combined with soft linear numbers likely doomed it. A show like CBS’s SEAL Team, though its linear numbers were soft, reportedly has strong streaming numbers when replayed on Paramount+, thus it was renewed and will go to streaming. Of course, it didn’t help that Rebel premiered late in the season and particularly when networks are deciding on pilots and their schedule for next season. It just couldn’t measure up so late in the season

I don’t believe the person who said it’s about the ratings because there’s other shows that had those ratings too and they were renewed so really it doesn’t make any sense.

But I also think the pandemic didn’t help either because I believe had it not happened I think Rebel would have premiered in late 2020 instead. Since it did happen I thought Rebel would have premiered either in January or March.

  14.

What another great episode once again!!

Rebel & Lana once again the best team ever!!! ♥️

Rebel interrogating everyone to who stole the heart valve was great! So glad Lana found out the truth about Angela and I was starting to feel bad for her when told Cruz about her cancer, but then wow another twist.. she lied. I didn't know who to believe after a bit, but I still think it's most likely Angela who did since she was at the hospital.

Poor Sean I'm so glad I was wrong about that pregnancy theory at least so far. I was a little upset that Ziggy & Sean broke up for a bit, but I was glad he was honest with her although I know it made her upset, but what did she expect? she wanted honest from him and she got it. I knew they still liked each other so I'm glad they worked it out.

Oh man what a ending I was so shocked with Lana's car chase I hope she won't be too badly hurt(some are saying it's Angela, but to me it definitely looked like Lana) I can't imagine how Rebel's gonna feel when she finds out about Lana as that's her best friend and family.

Grady did a good thing (finally) so I have to give him a bit of credit for inviting Sean into the guest house to sleep that was nice of him to do, but I still am not sold on him at all what he's doing to Rebel and continuing to do. Also was upset to hear Maddie's baby died, so sad, but not surprising.

    I can't wait for next week's episode.

  18. Spoiler

I'm so happy for my favorite couple! And according to the writers we'll most likely be seeing their wedding so I can't wait. ♥️ To be honest I thought they'd elope, but this is great too seeing them actually marry on screen especially we didn't get to see their proposal or even Louise saying yes even though I know she obviously did.
