  1. But but but according to Tim Gunn, Sam and Asha are the bestest designers to ever have designed. Guess these judges didn't get the memo...
  2. Sometimes I hate Rachel Maddow for telling us what we need to hear. The story about Reagan was horrible enough but that was history. Then the story about Trump. That's the present. Have we learned nothing? Grown not at all? Have we no compassion? I'm going to hug my kids and pet my dog and cat to calm down.
  3. Horror is my least favorite but each of these shorts was well done - suspenseful and well acted. The three finalists should be proud of their creations. See everyone in 2017, or Monday for 12 Monkeys.
  4. Lisar is so auditioning for anyone who may come along and hire her. She's tiring. I loved that Vince wanted to "just fix" it and then be done with all this drama. I think Ken's reaction was of protection for his wife, unfortunately, it was on camera. When I grow up, I want to be as manipulative as Lisar, Yo, Eileen and the third blonde think LVP is. That's quite a talent she's got. She needs to run for homecoming queen of the world. She would ace it. Gawd, this took forever to watch, even fast forwarding through the commercials.
  5. I was lucky to see Phyllis Schlafly and Nadine Strossen debate in the late 90s at the college where I taught. Schlafly was introduced first. She strode into the room wearing a tailored suit, hair helmet, and sensible shoes carrying an attache' case. She sat at the table straight backed with both feet on the floor her knees tight together. Strossen sauntered into the room wearing a black flowing skirt and black blouse. Her hair was loose and tousled, and her satchel had papers brimming out of it. She literally flopped into the chair and took her own sweet time organizing her papers on the table. Phylis's was not pleased. Best debate ever. I, of course, thought Nadine won. I admit, however, I don't remember all that was said.
  6. After I read the lyrics of the songs above, I didn't think I would like this episode. But I loved it. The songs were spot on, clever and well done. I still hope Paula and her husband open a detective agency to spy on suspected cheaters. Next week looks charming.
  7. Actually, her Touch stuff is cute. Many different T-shirt styles. I would wear these for my teams. But the runway stuff, not so much. These pictures have to be years old. No Kini, tho. http://m.nflshop.com/Alyssa_Milano
  8. Her generation? I'm not sure of her exact age, but I'm sure I'm of her generation. Men don't get a pass on adultery with us old geezers. You must be thinking of the generation before that didn't have the right to vote. I think she had Sheena apologize to appease Brandi. Of course, I could be wrong on all counts.
  9. Best line: "These stars have plummeted like Lymes thrown off the Burj Kalifa"
  10. Emily's was my favorite. I'm never on the same page as the judges. Dom's was wonderful and would have photographed well. Kini is seeming one note to me. I guess it's his denim but his jacket was awesome. I also liked Ken's design but it was not executed well. Ilana's was awkward. I think Asha's looked better on paper than on the runway. Sam, please just go now. I cannot believe he's still there.
  11. Like the director who wanted the ear holes more "holey"...
  12. Why doesn't LVP just go bat shit crazy on their asses? No more soft, calm, rational talk. She should just start flailing her arms and yelling. They would be so surprised by her change of demeanor I bet they'd back that shit up quickly.
  13. I, too, used to enjoy the show more. It has gone the way of most HGTV shows that follow the same formula. I've noticed things that bother me now that didn't used to. Chip's antics are definitely getting old. He just had to be the center of attention, especially with his kids. I've also noticed that they really raise those kids to gender stereotypes. Boys do the hard labor, girls decorate, boys earn money, girls dress cute. And finally, I've read most of the staging is from her shop with an option to buy. So, why do they nail everything to the walls? That must take some time to repair those holes. It is a good show to relax and fall asleep with, however.
  14. I thought she was mimicking the song, "Marching to Pretoria" about taking the capital of the South African capital during the Boer War. That's what came to my mind...
  15. I loved Rachel's hook about the airport "bomb" and then weaving that to the true consequences of the pro life campaign if abortion becomes illegal. Also great to hear her call Trump's lies out. He would never be able to handle an interview with her.
  16. Dom's was my favorite. I could see the playfulness of Tinkerbell in it. I liked Leylani's. It did look off the rack but that means I can afford it. I thought it moved nicely. I like Kini but wish he would just do his designs and forget about Sam! But I'm tired of Sam too, probably because of Under the Gunn. I felt sorry for Alexander. From what I can remember of his season, he was an OK guy. Oops, forgot the winner. I didn't care for Alisha's but, in truth, I was distracted by her emaciated model.
  17. I wouldn't necessarily call Andrea Mitchell a journalist but she called out Trump's ignorance: As Mitchell pointed out, Trump indicated in a recent New York Times interview that he would cancel defense treaties with Japan and South Korea, and that he would allow the countries to obtain nuclear weapons. “American policy for decades since World War II has been trying to keep nukes out of that arena,” she observed. “He would stop importing oil from Saudi Arabia if they don’t pay more for their defense.” “We need oil. We are not energy independent. We rely on oil still for our daily needs,” Mitchell continued. “He is completely all over the lot. On Iran, he complains that Iran isn’t buying our planes. It had to be pointed out to him that Iran is still under sanctions and cannot buy American planes. He thinks North Korea and Iran are the biggest trading partners, when North Korea’s biggest trading partner is China.” “He is completely uneducated about any part of the world,” the MSNBC host lamented.
  18. I can understand why Paula did what she did, not that it wasn't despicable. She explained it to Rebecca when she gave examples of every other time she had a scheme. Rebecca would say, "no, no, no!" Then finally say "yes!" Paula actually thought what she was doing was acceptable. That scene almost had me tearing up.
  19. While I love Gary Galavant, this show is creative enough to continue without the actor. There are seven kingdoms with a cast of thousands to choose from to interact with the regulars. And we may get an occasional cameo from Sasse.
  20. Can someone tell me if all the mold problems are due to the lack of time, the contestants lack of skill, or just plain bad luck? As for Mackenzie's sartorial look this episode, she's a small chested woman but she really needed a bra with her dress for judging. Walters was lovely, if that's possible in WOW. Yvonne just didn't listen.
  21. Was the woman shown with the governor his wife or mistress? I just cannot imagine... just eww.
  22. I looked at the caftans too and was seriously thinking of buying a short one. But, Viscose silk is basically rayon. Not cool in the heat. Lisa did look regal in hers.
