  1. Yes. I'm orthodox, it's called Greek, Russian, etc. Orthodox. They are not political, which is a big reason why I converted.
  2. Agree. As a minor, Josie should be under the protection of her parents, since minors lack capacity. There is no way that part of the episode should have been televised.
  3. Yes there's a lot of power to be gained by withholding interest, love & affection
  4. I only gave birth once, in a hospital with no-gasp-birth plan. It was momentous for my husband and I,but probably unremarkable to anyone else. My recollection is that I had to meet the other 2 Drs within my OB's practice because they traded off delivery schedules. If a person was planning to deliver with a midwife, do they also work with an OB for contingencies?
  5. I agree Dawn116. Plus you have to factor that giving birth is this clan's only claim to fame.
  6. That is the best I've ever seen her hair, including on her wedding day. Not sure why you need your name on the headband, though.
  7. JessSvd wrote: "This is entirely speculation as well, but my guess would be that TLC has some sort of contracted amount for multiple families who appear on the same show as well. Say $25k is the standard amount for a show, then for one that just has the JB&M Duggars on it, JB would receive $25k and divide it among his family as he sees fit. Then for a show where J&A are in town and all of them visit the Bateses, each family receives $10k." Even in a case where people are all actually good friends and things are well between them (who knows if that's the case here), things like dividing up money for a TV show appearance are just too dicey. I can't imagine that TLC would just give JB a check and let him divide it among non-dependent family members and friends. Surely the Bateses got paid for their own appearances on 19K&C, I would expect anyone else who's not a Duggar dependent would be the same." Interesting and sad to think he sold his children's souls, childhood and future for 25 grand/episode?
  8. Agreed, GEML. I always felt sorry for Anna during those birthing shows-she always seemed so alone.
  9. 50 degrees in November is a lot colder than 50 degrees in April. Wedding planner was a total fail.
  10. Hm. I think I'll re-read Anne of Green Gables. What a great series.
  11. I found it sad that her family thinks her best quality is being organized. Don't get me wrong, I value organizational skills, but it's nothing I'd want written on my tombstone.
  12. Funny, my daughter and her college friends think the same!
  13. Yes! And making her wigs with the pelts!
  14. Odd, they were so serious while cooking. Whenever I'm cooking with my daughter, sisters in law, we're always chatting (probably gossip) or my daughter will be singing some silly song, etc. we never seen that concentrated on the food.
  15. Thanks Dr Scully for stating it perfectly and for the job you do. Onward!
  16. I just love strong girls, Wanderwoman. Your baby girl will go far in life!
  17. Good to know. This technology is just amazing.
  18. I fell asleep during this episode and woke up to Cathy getting stem cells? Isn't that rather liberal of her?
  19. Ok. I agree that this is not a hate speech. Maybe it's because I'm older, but I find stringing a bunch of Bible quotes as more meaningless, than helpful. I'd rather see them out there living their lives helping this world by their actions than FB posts. And I don't mean their ministry trips, or dressing modestly, etc. but just going to soup kitchens, supporting the homeless and other oppressed groups. Or even recognizing oppressed groups. Honestly the hypopcrisy is mind numbing.
  20. For me this video has no content, just meaningless words. And I get the feelings that is the same for these people. I guess it's nice if they get some sort of comfort from this gibberish, but heaven help them if they pass me one of their 'gifts'.
  21. Jessa looks like any college aged girl. Nice to see her dressed appropriately and not trying to be a freak.
  22. My guess is 3/3, 11 pounds. Name is Millard Dillard, nicknamed Jilly's Milly Dilly
  23. Has Maddy been 11 for about 5 years?!
