Definitely not an equitable split, but I think it'll lead to some interesting dynamics. Carolyn - damn. She's good. You could see Kelly get disappointed when Carolyn flipped. Kelly lost a ranking in her alliance; she sat back too much. Joe is still my favorite. But I want to know what's going on in Tyler's mind; he hugely intrigues me. It would make me happy to see those guys and Carolyn go far.

I think it's Psalm 121; there's no Psalm 1:21 (Psalm 1 only has 6 verses). Psalm 121 is about God's protection. People have favorite scriptures; maybe this one brings Mike comfort. Blue Collar has too much conflict going on. I hope they lose the next challenge and get knocked down a level.
-
I don't understand Blue Collar's animosity against Mike. The editors are doing something there I don't understand. Jeff having to articulate why the producers put Nina in "No Collar" shows how this collar bit is crap. Joe continues to be my favorite, but Tyler intrigues me. If those two would trust each other, they'd be a powerhouse to watch. Post-merge - if they make it that far - of course.

To such a degree that it almost irritated me. As great as this episode's ending was, "Two Cathedrals" was an instant classic, and this seemed like a wanna-be. I love that bishop. That actor got some great dialogue, and he knew it.

I already love Joe. He's got to be really smart, because he'll quickly get a huge target on his back.

It's the same logic that has Jasmine with a $30 an hour filing job. I will never get over that. Oh, Drew. You will never graduate. A Max-free and Sydney-free episode! Huzzah. The only parts I genuinely liked was (1) the makeshift baby shower at the end. That was kind of nice. And (2) seeing Joel and Hank at the bar. I'm not a fan of Hank, and Joel has been written incredibly inconsistently the last 2 seasons, but for some reason that pairing over beer amused me. I would like to see Haddie one more time. Even just to acknowledge her existence.

Mozart In The Jungle - General Discussion
Dust Bunny replied to OnceSane's topic in Mozart In The Jungle
Well, damn. I was loving this show until the last 3 minutes of episode 10. I loved Rodrigo's and Hailey's dynamic until then. Stupid show. So unnecessary. And it almost validates Betty's initial assumption of Hailey's presence in the orchestra, instead of it being merit-based. Clearly, changes were made between the pilot and the season. The change in Rodrigo's personality seems to be the big one. He was more commanding in the pilot and more artistic in the season. I guess we got a taste of that at the end of the pilot with him listening to Hailey's pseudo-audition. More Lizzy/Elizabeth, please. She's great fun. The end really left a bitter taste in my mouth. Dammit. -
I'm 95% sure (and have been for about 5 chapters) that Sin Rostro is Petra's mom, since it means "without a face". The standing up didn't really surprise me. That said, Alba better be ok. Rogelio is probably my favorite character on this show. Jaime Camil plays him with such joy, I love seeing him on my screen. So cute the way he beamed, when hearing Xo met Paulina Rubio. There has to be more about Michael's brother. Right now, he seems to be superfluous, so I'm curious to see what the writers might do with him. I love this show. Hope it gets renewed soon.

I haven't watched one minute of this show, after having read early reviews and seeing the trailer last summer. I knew it was no Broadchurch, mostly because it would have no situational/contextual meaning or nuance, being simply transferred from one coast to another. I've been reading the forums all fall, so I feel especially good tonight that I skipped it. I feel for Tennant, because I'm guessing he felt the substandard quality as filming went along. He probably leaped at the chance to get back to Broadchurch 2, where context matters.

S06.E10: Christmas Through Your Eyes
Dust Bunny replied to MostlyC's topic in The Vampire Diaries [V]
Stupid, damn show. Can Matt ever have agency for any semi-extended period of time? I was so hopeful at the end of last week's episode. Then the writers ruined it - and ruined Jeremy - by calling Matt "intense" and having Matt now controlled by Enzo. Jeremy has been neutered too. I was so looking forward to the Bash Brothers. It's my fault for not expecting disappointment. On the same topic of ruining characters - I've loved Kai and Chris Wood's acting. Now, out of the pickings of 7 billion people and/or witches and/or vampires and/or siblings, he's just going after Elena. Because Elena. Elena ruins everything. Stupid, damn show. -
I wonder how many of the parents on this season are embarrassed by their actions. In nearly every case, their son or daughter has behaved or played better. I'm on the Natalie bandwagon too. I think her last threat is Baylor and Missy realizing they can't take her to the final 3 and choose Keith instead. If that's the case, I think it's Baylor to win. Also, I loved the open-mouthed Alec on the jury. The editors have a fun job.

I'm not a fan of Elena, but I'm fairly sure she got all her memories back when she crossed the border. I think she keeps testing Damon, to see his selflessness, or whatnot. After the border, she asked him again what happened the night it rained, and he lied. Then she suggested he was only saving Bonnie to show how much he loved Elena, but he flat out said he was doing it for Bonnie alone. I see a reconciliation around the corner. Pity. I'm so over the drama. I'm looking much more forward to Matt and Jeremy saving people, hunting things, etc, etc.

Team Humans! I kind of love watching the vampires' chickens coming home to roost. Finally, some consequences that hit home. Matt's speech to Stefan was great. You could tell he had been holding that back for awhile and was still trying to hold back from the rage. To some degree, I think I'm fed up with all the vampires. I am bummed about the Alaric-Damon loss. This one might stick for a bit. It's the second time Damon harmed Alaric's significant other (3, if you could count Jenna). As long as Matt Davis stays on the show, I don't really care what happens. I just love his strong, centered presence in the midst of the pettier drama. Agreed. Kai may be my favorite villain ever on this show. Chris Wood is awesome. It's on the same level as Robbie Kay's Peter Pan on "Once Upon A Time".

Dammit, Keith. Moron. Also, it's weird how he keeps calling out his son in front of others. I'm not a fan of Missy, but at least she advocates for Baylor. I'm holding out hope Reed can pull another rabbit out of his hat. It doesn't look good right now.

That reminded me - doesn't Grease end with Sandy being leather-Sandy instead of Sandra Dee-ponytail Sandy? Of course Ruby came out in Sandra Dee costume. Because we viewers had to know that Ruby is now Sandra Dee-Ruby and not leather-Sandy-Ruby. This show is so damn dumb.

"Dylan says I was harassing her." "Well, you weren't harassing her." Words fail me. Oh Drew. At this point, you bring this on yourself by keeping these people in your life. My guess is your social life isn't benefited from having family members crash on your dorm bed. Just walk away, like you did to Amber last week. At the end of this, the curtain will be pulled back, right? That the writers have been self-aware all this time. The Bravermans will all be gathered for dinner. They'll all talk over each other, not realizing dinner has caught fire and flames are spreading throughout the house. Hopefully, Drew has disowned his family by then. The dog, Haddie (if she's actually there), Nora, Amber's baby, Jasmine, Aida, Jabbar, and Victor all make it out alive. Possibly Joel and Julia. For sure not Sydney. And then we get a Six Feet Under dating.

I would just like to express my love for Reed Kelly, his general awesomeness, and the fact that he hails from Minnesota. Damn, that was good! I'm sure Jeremy is a nice guy, but I don't think we saw much of that. The time that sticks out was when he was laughing with the other rewardees at the taco bar. I wish we had seen more of that Jeremy than crabby TH Jeremy. That's on the editors. I'm going to love having Josh on the jury this whole time. He cracks me up. Outside of some reaction shots at TC, Alec was a no-show on this episode.

S06.E08: Aaron Brownstein Must Be Stopped

These writers have no concept of the real world. Or credibility in the real world. That bit proved it.- 118 replies

S06.E07: Do You Remember The First Time?
Dust Bunny replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in The Vampire Diaries [V]
I think it did work; I think she got all the memories back. I think Elena asking Damon what happened when it started to rain was to test him and his selflessness, which is what first made her fall in love with him. I can't believe I'm watching this show again. But I do appreciate Paul Wesley's Stefan's healthy amount of apathy. Not sure what's acting at this point. To me, that as entertaining as anything else on this show. -
I haven't watched this show regularly in 3 years, but I had to tune in tonight. It was cool that even though I haven't seen most of the new stuff, I didn't really need to; I loved all the calls to the past. And I love how it ended with the spirit of the show's beginning -- on the road. Chuck's presence was a great way to wrap it up. Kudos to those girls. They did a lot of weight-lifting in this episode. 200 episodes is pretty remarkable this day and age. Congrats to all.

That was ok. Nothing exceptional. Patmore was great, though. I feel like this show is perpetually marking time. At least with Matthew there was a feeling of forward progression - a young, promising person growing into the role of a leader in the midst of a changing world. With Dan Stevens' departure, this show has been spinning its wheels. Mary could have taken the place of Matthew. Instead, it's all about her stupid suitors. Tom could have taken that role too, but he was reduced to unnecessarily apologizing for Bunting. Such squandered potential. This show is a shell of what might have been.
-
My bad; I meant Reed. I don't know why I get those two names confused. Fixed it above.
-
Very unlikable bunch of people, with Jeremy and Missy heading up that list. I don't have a favorite, but for some reason Wes seems the least objectionable for me. I do like Josh and Reed, but I don't think they'll last long. I just hope that Jeremy and Missy go earlier. I don't blame Julie. These people suck. Does she have to be on the jury now, or can she skip all that and go with John and the other pre-merge people?

I knew that was Chris Addison as Seb/the intake guy. He played Ollie on "The Thick Of It". I totally recognized his mannerisms. It made me giggle with glee. What a kick that he's on during Capaldi's run. Now I want to watch TToI again.

I loved this episode. There was a lot of devotion between many relationships. So much better than Bates' problems and other ratcheted up plots. I didn't mean to wish for Isis' death when I wondered earlier how she could still be alive. I might have to cuddle with my pets a little extra tonight. Maggie Smith is wonderful. Her conversation with Mary was so well done. You could tell she was letting down her guard and showing her sentimentality as a sort of momentary release. Mary should grow up and get over her Edith hate. She's lucky she's the eldest. She wouldn't have nearly as many admirers with her personality alone. "Men don't have rights" is one of my favorite lines ever on this show. Looking at some American states' laws, I wish that could be the case sometimes. Women power!
