  1. It depends on if they're seeing things from Pete Davidson's viewpoint or are conversely grossed out because it's him. I mean Kate Beckinsale, through whatever combination of nature, training, surgery and beauty products, defies her age. She's certainly not the gross end of that encounter.
  2. Jamali on the other hand can suck it. I got so tired of his attitude.
  3. It's a huge missed opportunity not having David on the same series though. Everything Wozniak did last episode (heck, most of the series) was legendary. He didn't win the game but.. he kind of won the series nonetheless. I hope this is a huge boost to his career. He's an odd little man, but a wonderfully entertaining odd little man.
  4. Pretty much. I believe John has already said as much.
  5. Personally I'm not on board with that. He does have an aspect of being irritating to the version of himself he puts on stage and television, but to balance that out I do find that in my opinion, he's very sharp, very witty, and by default quite funny. Annoying funny often, admittedly, but still funny. But having an UO is why this topic exists, right?
  6. I'm skeptical. Cindy Crawford's daughter is the only of the three women who'd be helped by Davidson's level of fame. I mean Ariana's a huge star, and that Bridgerton actress is on her way up regardless of who she's dating. Rumors about the size of his equipment actually seems more believable.
  7. Tim the YouTube McCain mocker really got me today by calling out "Fucker Tarlson" along with Meghan.
  8. Grodin has always been such an odd persona to me. Always playing an uptight doofus, but doing it brilliantly. I can only compare him to a few others, like Phil Silvers, or Dabney Coleman, who played "negatives" in a positive way. It's kind of a lost art. Maybe Bill Murray still edges into this territory.
  9. Candace Owens is one of the meanest mean girls on the planet. Is she really claiming credit for cancelling another mean girl? Mind you, it's already a weird situation since Courtney Stodden was legitimately pretty gross (I think regardless of her age at the time that was kind of true). Just not deserving (because nobody is) of being told to go die/kill herself. But honestly. Who's going to Candace Owens for guidance on morality?
  10. Because Courtney Stodden got brought up, apparently Chrissy Teigen is seeing some real world consequences for her previous behaviour in relation to Stodden... Chrissy Teigen Has Been Dropped By 3 Major Chains Over Those Tweets About Courtney Stodden
  11. I'm in a between place on this. I don't for a moment believe all people with these non-binary declarations are just attention seeking. But I DO think it's a situation inherently rife with opportunity for narcissistic people to use the phenomenon to garner attention. It can be both things at once (typically legitimate, and yet sometimes used as a strategem, although I wouldn't go as far as saying mis-used).
  12. Probably. But as much as I'm willing to do it, I will cynicaly note it's ensured people have to specifically remember extra information about Demi Lovato, and the net result of not doing so is going to be getting lectured (possibly not always by Demi, but by third parties). It might be different if we lived in a society with non-gendered language by default, but... we don't. Again, adding in Demi's seeming narcissism (manifesting in various things like thinking one's own opinion on Yogurt shop signage is important out of proportion, and making endless documentaries inviting praise for being so very brave), I don't feel totally off base in believing that in Demi's case, at least, having people have to remember something extra might be an ego boost.
  13. I hope he eventually learns about this board and shows up here. I know his first name is Tim. I gotta go search my own posts. He used to use Zoom or some similar software that put his name on screen and it had his last name too. But I forget it now. Edit - Found it. His full name is Tim Beemer. I THINK I was the first to notice him, from a random search/recommendation on YouTube. But I'm not 100% sure.
  14. Johnny Cash wrote a song called "A Boy Named Sue". A little research shows... https://www.babynameshub.com/boy-names/Susan.html "Records indicate that 1,702 boys in the United States have been named Susan since 1880." Edit - Oh man, that site is FUN. I also found. Records indicate that 171 boys in the United States have been named Gertrude since 1880. Records indicate that 883 boys in the United States have been named Anna since 1880. Records indicate that 111 boys in the United States have been named Agnes since 1880. Now I'm just getting silly (although that's all true).
  15. Some of that's actually pretty old school. Caroll O'Conner - born 1924. It would be more unusual if your Carol used one L only, but not impossible. Carol Reed (a British film director) - born 1906. Lynn Swann - born 1952. Courtney B. Vance - born 1960. Not to forget another similar example, Lindsey Graham - born 1955. Edit - one more... Marion Robert Morrison, aka John Wayne - born 1907.
  16. I don't think she's necessarily a consistently terrible actress. But she's mediocre at best, and even adapting for gender and time period, she was playing a person named Watson with only two points of resemblance to the original: being named Watson and having a vague connection to medicine (which the show didn't even maintain). At least Jonny Lee Miller had a good dozen vaguely connective traits to the original of his character. Lucy? Not so much.
  17. Seth Meyers name checked Taskmaster in his May 19th A Closer Look, but it must be one of his writers watching it, since he called it "Taskmasters" (while the graphic said otherwise).
