Lindsay danced on David Ross' feet last season for a "father daughter" themed dance. Yep, Lindsey was the first one I thought of too. But also Derek/Bindi in the package during rehearsal. MMY week. I don't think it made the final dance though.

I really like Jordan, I think he’s an adorable enthusiastic bean of a human, and I think he was amazing tonight, but I haven’t loved him in a ballroom dance yet. So while he has undoubtable skills, I’m still interested in seeing him improve. He always comes off a little too light on his feet to me in ballroom? Kind of skittery, like he’s not solid, grounded enough. I don’t know if that’s a real critique or not, but thats where he seems to miss go me. It worked for him in contemporary tonight for sure though. I thought it was sad that Frankie’s most memorable year was this year, because he can’t remember any of the other ones :( :( :(

I definitely agree with this. I'm making half-blind speculation based on what I've seen so far of her personality (likable and hardworking) and how she moves that she's got Amy Purdy potential. My guess for her being in the finals is contingent upon her and Val turning out some impressive dances, I'm just guessing that they will. If they don't deliver on that and she's super awkward, my guess will change that she might ride a Val popularity bump to 5th or 6th.

Huh, according to this interview she still can't feel her legs and feet. I'll be interested to see what they do, that's definitely going to be a huge challenge. (And I'm more amazed at how well she does move, given that fact.)

She was only TWELVE when she was cast in Pretty Little Liars?? Holy shit. That is very young to be the object of a sexy teen murder show. (And makes me feel kinda squick about her storyline)

Snap rankings is my favorite game. My predictions: Final Four Jordan & Lindsay: He's adorable, charming, and can move, and is friends with Lin Manuel-Miranda who can rally his Hamilfans for him. He's like a baby Usher. Sometimes the Disney kids annoy me, but I think he's on a stardom track, and I think will be great. Lindsey & Mark: Mark choreography + Lindsey natural talent, gonna be great. She seems likable as well. Victoria & Val: Her story is compelling, I like her personality from what I've seen so far. I'm excited for them. Drew & Emma?: Slightly more questionable on this one. I feel like there's a lot of overlap in people who loooooove the property brothers and watch DWTS. He could be pretty awkward though. Tier 2 Nikki & Artem: I don't know anything about her. But people love the WWE. And one of the only things I do know about her is she's (dating? married?) to John Cena, and people love him. Debbie & Alan, Frankie & Witney: Both of these nostalgia contestants could be great, I could also see them potentially being awkward (more with Frankie than Debbie), or not connecting with the audience and dropping sooner. TO & Cheryl?: He seems polarizing. If he's an AB type, I'm not excited, if he shows up with charm and work ethic he could be bumped higher Boring Middle of Packers: Nick & Peta, Vanessa & Maks: I think the marrieds will get lost in this cast. They'll hang around for a bit, but can't see them Sasha & Gleb: She seems really likable and chill. This could work against her if she comes off too laid back. Bottoms: Derek & Sharna: Any other season might have had a chance, but I think he'll get lost Barbara & Keo: Sorry Keo. I don't know her, but can't see her sticking around that long. (Still not the worst that has ever been cast, but in this group? I can't see it.) (It's very confusing to keep track of having celebrity Dereks, Sashas, and Lindseys)

I think Only In My Dreams was the big one? I'm a little too young for her, but I watched A LOT of Pop Up Video in middle school while I did my homework and got a decent background in 80s pop culture ;) In retrospect, Tiffany's music aged better. (I Think We're Alone Now is a CLASSIC while this one is just, "oh yeah, I think I've heard that?" But hardcore influence for Robin Sparkles.)

Twitter sleuths seem to be zeroing in on Debbie Gibson as Alan's parter/the last celeb. The DWTS Instagram account posted a guitar emoji as a hint for his partner, we know his partner is blonde, and they've tracked down pictures of her carrying the bag and wearing the scrunchie he posted as a hint a week or so ago. Could be a fun one! I hope she does a dance to her smash hit, "Let's Go To The Mall"

She's definitely not going to be in a wheelchair the whole time, given the videos I've seen of her walking in heels/yoga-ing/doing power squats. Her recovery seems amazing. That said, we don't know if she has flare ups, days that are harder than others, any ongoing coordination issues, and how the daily training of dancing every day will affect her, so that's going to be the challenge. (I predict one wheelchair dance. Most memorable year - starts in a wheelchair, ends dancing full out. Calling it now.)

I wouldn't be surprised if putting in some face time on a network show like this ends up being worth it, no matter who you get or how long you stay, as you're booking appearances and things and trying to promote other non-tv projects. It still puts you in front of a significant number of eyeballs. I could see former pros coming back for that. (And who knows, maybe for some of them the early exit is a perk.) There was an e news article todayish though that said they're still looking for a partner for Cheryl but they want someone "good." ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I'm more excited than I should be for Jordan Fisher, because I feel like he's a baby. But he is pretty and charming, and this pair will be fire. So far I'm eyeing Lindsay/Jordan, Mark/Lindsey, and Val/Victoria as my favorites.

I have a feeling you're not going to be the only one, can can already anticipate her "ringerness" being a heavy area of debate. For me, I'm not bothered, both because I don't mind people with a little training, and also because she reads to me like someone with natural talent for sure, but not much training. I could be wrong, and I'm not 100% on her full background, but that Argentine Tango with Derek seems good, but a little sloppy. It was like a good DWTS performance good, not actual trained ballroom dancer good. (If anyone's better at spotting technique chime in, I'm not always the greatest at it.) I'm not sure where the idea that Cheryl has a bunch of power to be enticed came from, but for me she's been relegated to the "older**" female pro who's been relegated to being brought back for the older or "difficult" male celebrities. Anna/Gary Busey, Kym/Mister T, Edyta/whoever she had last (Geraldo?) A rotating crew of female Tonys. Bobby Brown fits right in with those types. **I know, not that old. But that's how the show seems to treat them.

Well we still don't know partners for Alan, Gleb and Cheryl, so any of them could be duds, but of everyone leaked so far I would guess either Shark Tank lady or retired basketball player for first out? No one announced so far seems like obvious dead weight though.

I'm here for this pairing, she has a cool story and seems like she'll be fun. I've been wanting to see Val with a "challenge" for a while (though looking at how far she's progressed, maybe it won't even be a challenge.) Also, didn't know this about Val:

Back to things that aren't rehashed ancient history, they officially announced Emma + Drew today I didn't even think about it, but this is a twin+twin pair. Since Emma's twin works for the show, seems likely we'll get A Kelly*/Jonathan cameo at some point. *it still makes me laugh that Emma's sister is named Kelly Slater. The show should pair her with Kelly Slater the surfer at some point.

Nastia was way later and would have never signed without being promised a New York based pro (which Derek was at the time.) Not that another pro couldn't have relocated, like Val did for Normani, but she definitely wasn't "stolen" from anyone.

Partnerships so far according to Courtney of pure (putting these in spoilers because whatever else she's usually right on these) This seems to be because she was over at a fight night party with him and a bunch of friends & pros last night. I would say if it were true you'd think they would be less careless with the social media, but I think I remember Paige being spotted in a similar situation before her season so who knows.

Twitter is buzzing about Lindsay + Jordan Fisher, which if true means she's got a contender. He'd fit as a former Disney kid (I guess he was in those Teen Beach movies) but he's done a stint in Hamilton as John Laurens/Phillip and was very adorable in Grease Live.

I haven't paid attention to Nick in a while, I was a big 98 degrees fan in middle school, and then found him to be an ass during the Jessica Simpson years. I'm willing to give them a shot I suppose. I feel like she's always come off a bit bland? Though Godspeed if she's stuck with Maks.
