I agree, despite everything we want to think, people become who they were based on their raising or environment. Believe it or not, I would have also liked a talk about Roseanne and Jackie's father where they could have said: "Your father was raised the same way, he got out of line, he got hit." Bev it could have been she was raised by very old world views and why she was the way she was. You know: Stand by your man no matter what, your place is in the home. Save your money. That was another thing, Bev had the same attitude towards Mary just like Roseanne and Jackie did towards Bev. Which was odd, because with Mary, she just told it how it was and was more of a best bud than parent.

Yeah, I didn't get that either. I mean from how the bike shop worked was Ziggy left the $30K, Dan decided to just get rid of his drywall for the bike shop. Season 2 where we first met Roseanne's parents (before evil father and damn that mother of ours started happening) Bev even said: "Dan isn't working is he?" Yes, he was, but they acted like Dan wasn't working at all. It was like in season 5 and 6 it was that Dan was horrible at finding work and their bills were piling up and up to the point they lights were shut off on them. Never made sense.

The problem with the Lunchbox was we had just had them fail with the bike shop barely 2 years before and Jackie thought now was the time to get their own business again? Especially with getting that money from Bev and Dan just got the city job. Sorry, that would have been me, money in the bank, get back on your feet and then go from there. Despite they tried to to show running your own business wasn't easy, after they brought Leon on back to eventually take over as the business partner from Bev. That in my opinion spelled the start of the end of the show.

Also enjoyed Ezri, but I was a Dax fan, however, I just loved Nicole as an actress. I remember her saying in an interviewed she was so shocked how much sci-fans knew who she was when she had only done a few series in syndication at that point, but she was like, really good at them. Since they had only one season, I loved the back story on Ezri, especially when we got to her family. I mean for 6 seasons and talk about Jadziar's family, we never saw them and they sounded like a normal family. Here with Ezri we got a large back story, use of the Orion Syndicate (24th century mob) and more. I do agree about the counseling situation, especially when the previous 2 seasons show just how much the war was getting to everyone.

I agree on AS-P view and what happened when she left. She basical said: "That's not how I would have had it and screw it! People regress all the time." Then we got the stupidity with Logan wanting Rory as his side piece, the Mitchum that was a bigger asshole than last we saw him. Luke's constant: "She's my daughter." Or how about the DAR: "We can do everything illegal to make a point because we are better than everyone else, and don't say: 'bullshit'".

I agree, I mean if they show a set of Klingons that have looked consistent since the 1980s and then show these. Then ok, the classic: "Have your cake and eat it too." The Trill change was because of Terry Farrel's sensitive skin as she broke out in a rash and they figured: "Well one episode, people can live with the change." The Romulans they at least said: "They aren't part of the Empire, we just shaved their heads and gave them tattoos." I do agree the: "We changed them just for the sake of change." tends to backfire on productions from TV to comics very fast.

After seeing the D23 sneak preview, I have to say I really am liking where this series is going. I like this Webby much more then the original (I liked her then too). However, times have changed and I like this more aggressive Webby and how Uncle Scrooge is still adventurous, but a bit less serious. I do wonder how this will work with Donald though as I could count the amount of episodes he was in the original series on one hand, well kind of two, but you have to think of the pilot (mini series).

The problem is, both Claire and Phil want their kids to get out of the house, but don't change their helicoptering behavior (Claire especially). That kind of parenting I have seen first hand (not me) how damaging that can be to children in their early adult life. Even if they know how to cook and clean for themselves, they are unaware how to deal with: budgets, paying bills, being self aware of things. Sure Luke pulled a fast one on the car, but still that was still in Luke's character of: "Playing a trick to get something he wants" he has been doing since day 1. For Haley and Alex, one keeps saying how she wants more in life, but still falls on petty ways. The other is the classic: "Too smart, but not street smart." Which has gotten really old.

I know, the final episode has some of the biggest WTF and that they were trying to do it as a homage to Pegasus made it even worst.

How true, and what happened when they tried to use that "weakness" nothing. The ship was still standing and tore the Valiant apart. I thought it was handled very well on "too young" to be a hero and Nog's speech at the end was good. In the end though, it was Red Squad's arrogance that got them all killed and I do mean all killed.

Same how I saw it too. Plus, the way Miles fooled him in the end and also Garak seeing that Miles was no longer the soldier he constantly framed him to be, but was still very resourceful.

It's funny even given current times in Illinois now, Roseanne might still find a place in this day and age. We will see, but I also agree, Roseanne showed a family that I could completely related too, even now. Differences was, I tried to be more peace keeper than hold onto old grudges. Something that I hope is shown on the revival is that Darlene accomplished Roseanne's dream of being a writer and that Becky most likely fell into the same life that she constantly complained she didn't want. Also, I was a big Al Bundy fan myself.

I agree, they had to constantly right that about Jill, that she couldn't ever admit she was wrong. When she did, everyone in the family was: "Wait? What? Get this on tape! Mom just admitted she was wrong." There were moments it was funny and many times where it was too much. The speeding ticket, the cheating of Tim's friend, Brad's girlfriend who was making him lunches, Randy's girlfriend's parents or how about when Jill wanted Jim to build her an office and then she went out of control because she was stressed out and told him to stop and they got in a huge fight. Even Brad and Randy shocked that their mom did that to him. It wasn't funny, it was a woman who was set in her ways and even if things were shown right in her face, she wouldn't admit that she was wrong. Then you add in Jill's cooking, which was too much especially when they showed she could follow a recipe everything was great. Yet, if she tried to do it based on her ideas, it sucked. It was like the bad cooking of Debra on ELR. Why writers in the early to mid 90s thought it be funny to have a woman or even a guy who can't cook is beyond me. If you have a teen now 15 trying to cook, that I can believe as there are so many teens and young adults who don't know how to cook, do laundry or anything because of helicopter parenting.

I remember the police officer situation when she got out of a ticket by fliting with the cop and then later on after she felt wrong about it and trying to get her internship with her professor told Tim: "I hope you learned something from this." The look on his face when he realizes that Jill once again can't admit she was wrong and is always right was hilarious and any other husband would have said: "Shut the fuck up, you did this to yourself, you were wrong, don't turn this on me." Instead he smiled agreed and walked off. I do remember at one point Patricia Richardson had said some of her story lines were thought up last minute. They had Jill get sick so much during the series because it was their crutch to use write funny lines for Jill. Writers even admitted it was hard at times to write Jill later in the series and why they got so stuck on "Jill is in school forever" same with Mark until they decided to do the goth/hateful cycle for Mark. They had no idea how to write him especially after JTT had so many movie deals going on the side and Zachary Ty Bryan was easier to write since he was the older brother. They struggled with Mark so much until the the goth stage then they wrote him like a regular teen dealing with being the baby of the family who didn't know how to fit in. However, I hated season 6's Tim's mid life crisis. Some of those stories were just... blah. Not bad, but at times I could tell that Tim Allen didn't know how to handle them.

I was not a fan of the Vulcans portrayal in the series. I had no problem how Earth saw Vulcan, but to see such a backwards view of them and even the Romulan Conspiracy they introduced in season 4 made even less sense. Ranks up there with how no one got a promotion in the 7 year gap in the final episode.

I really hated how they put Jill to be more and more angry towards things towards the final episodes. The entire situation with Brad's girlfriend when she was making him lunches and meals went from "you are making too much of this." to "She just had to be right." It was like they wanted to inject that Jill had these "femist" thoughts, but never really followed through on them and by the time we got to the final season, they dropped because they wanted Jill to finally finished her PhD. which the creators of the show even said they made excuses because they didn't know how they would write "Dr. Jill Taylor" until they got a college consultant towards the end of the series.

Chuck and Mike's were more balanced than Ryan or Mike's. With Ryan and Mike it was: "Ryan sees something in a very limited, stupid light he has no experience with and Mike's world view won't be changed no matter what." The problem was when they pushed Chuck into a more "ethical/racial" point. I'm not talking about the stupidity that was Vanessa with Carol at times, but I remember when Chuck said about making the school named by: Malcolm X. It painted him as someone who didn't know those schools exist and doesn't come across as funny but very straw man outlook. The politics on LMS got so out of control at times, where no one looked smart.

Yes, I loved the concept behind Section 31 and even later on in season 7 just how they operated and that Sloan gave up a lot to be who he was for the "greater good". Yet, there were moments that they did go so far and I know if Enterprise would have made it a 5th season, they were going to deal with Malcolm's involvement more and how they wanted to take out Terr Firma. I did like later on when Sisko said that Section 31 over stepped their bonds to where it was mass murder for "the greater good".

The only problem was, it feels more like they kept Ryan around to just create some stupid political/new age argument with Mike. When those would happen, they both came up looking like idiots, but what does everyone do? Defend Ryan. When really half the time, he is in the wrong and Mike acts like it's 1979.

They had just did such a turn with Kristen since season 2 from not only recasting, but throwing out everything else that was built on the character in season 1 out the door and she got worst and worst and worst. If CMT would have picked it up, they could have taken her, Ryan and Boyd and just been done and simply say that they moved to run the Grill in another state. They weren't not going to be miss, but of course that would also mean they would have to give Vanessa good story lines instead of using Ryan as an excuse for something and then Mike being mad that Vanessa has an idea about something for herself.

Very good point. I have no problem them setting up 10 years before Kirk before he was even in the Academy, but their is plenty between the Enterprise B and the Enterprise C history that has plenty of in cannon and expansion to fill in plenty of stories. They could even be able to get away with the Klingons new look too. Saying it was an aftermath of genetic altering. The rumor is it's an old style of religious Klingons that are dying out.

Yes, I just started too. It's funny, because in this area of using drones, coding and robots, the new pokedex actually works. Plus, as we have seen with the Professor Kukui, it's still learning as it goes. I think what is very interesting is not only is Ash in school, but he is trying to master Z power. Something that bothered me the last two series was that Ash didn't get really any mega evolution stones and while his Grenninja did kind of mega evolve due to their synching of energy and trust. I would have loved to seen Ash's Charizard go Y mega or his Sevptyle. I feel like this time, we have a much more "fun" of the early days of Pokemon. The show got very serious the last few years from Team Flare (wow! They were twisted and evil) or Team Aqua. Team Skull is more of what Team Rocket should have eventually become and I really enjoy the new starter and changes on the well known Pokemon, but have "evolved" differently in the Alola region.

Yeah, it was like as they started ditching Dan's group of co-workers and friends and their weekly poker games. Apparently it got to expensive so all of a sudden, Dan had no friends.

Yes, I just can't get over the new look for the Klingons. I know they introduced it in ST: Into the Darkness, but it feels too much. I mean their ideas to give the Romulans a new look was to shave their heads and give them face tattoos, but that was even said by Nero they weren't part of the Empire. The look just seems like they mixed Cardaassians with their Proform from ST: TNG Genesis episode. I don't really like it, even with the original series to Star Trek the Motion Picture they tried to keep the looks similar, but updated. I feel this is just too much removed.
