Hollywood History: The Real-Life "Feud" and More
ennui replied to Meredith Quill's topic in Feud [V]
I'm not certain, but I don't think those are rivets; I think it's just a small decoration. Most cat-eye glasses have something decorative in that space. I did find some retro glasses with the little gold V, but the V is sideways. -
Hollywood History: The Real-Life "Feud" and More

When I was looking for the sunglasses, I found an article about the homes. They said that Joan had one house, but she kept changing the outside and the decor, so it looked like a completely different house. Bette, on the other hand, lived in a few different homes and they all looked the same. So, their taste in clothing was reflected in their homes, as well. Bette liked capri pants and sweaters, Joan always looked like a movie star. Peter is the brunette. T. J. Jagodowski is the blonde.

I don't think the sunglasses are authentic vintage; I think they are reproductions. I found one pair, https://theboldersides.com/collections/sunglasses/products/vintage-style-round-frame-sunglasses?&_t=t&utm_source=wheretoget.it&utm_medium=referral This is off-topic; maybe we need a style section?

I don't hate the Sonic guys. In the current ad, the blonde guy is whining about something and complaining his straw doesn't work, and his buddy is saying "Cherry stem! Cherry stem!" I am easily amused and that kind of gentle humor appeals to me.

"Two guys enjoy Sonic Molten Cake Sundaes in the backseat of a convertible. One of them is on the lookout for his friend's wife. She gets mad when her husband has dessert without her. Who can blame her when it's a delicious frozen treat from Sonic?" https://www.ispot.tv/ad/7In2/sonic-drive-in-ice-cream-social-march-wife Did you know these guys have been doing Sonic commercials since 2004?

Speculation for Season Two of Feud: NOT Charles and Diana
ennui replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in Feud [V]
From reading the forums during ACS:OJ, there are lots of people who didn't know anything about the trial. Or even about OJ. Even though the Charles/Diana story has been told, I'm willing to accept that a lot of young people haven't heard it. I remember when I was a kid, there was a film about the Lindbergh kidnapping. It was the Crime of the Century. Today, I doubt you could find a lot of young people who know anything at all about Charles Lindbergh. -

It was an or-else lawsuit. Return to work or we will sue you. Joan went to work. -
I'm not having any luck, but if it's a V, try Vuarnet. What?! No "Adventures of Robin Hood"? Olivia was beautiful as Maid Marian, and she always had great chemistry with Errol Flynn. I think they did eight films together.

I thought the Sonic guys had wives. I could swear I've heard them mentioned, if not seen.
-
99%?! I doubt that. Besides, cheating says more about the cheater than it does the injured spouse.

I thought he did a decent job with the voice and inflections. I liked Joseph Cotten, so I was listening. I'm glad this is almost over. The last two episodes had me thinking to turn it off and go to bed, but I forced myself to stay to the end because I didn't want to sit through the first halves again. I worked with two women who were always backstabbing and undermining each other until one was fired. I didn't think of it as a feud, but maybe it was. Maybe that's why I'm not enjoying the show as much. This crap happens all the time.

I just saw the KFC head honcho on a news channel. KFC is going to introduce their new Zinger chicken sandwich and a new Colonel on Friday. I'm still on my first cup of coffee, but I think KFC guy said the new Colonel will be the most handsome and the marketing campaign is exciting and innovative. I am on pins and needles. Btw, the person who ate the sample sandwich said it was pretty good. It's a bestseller worldwide, and they are introducing it to the US. I wonder why we got it last. Maybe it was easier to test in smaller markets.

I was at a winery about a year ago when I learned about this whole new class of rosé wines. Since they are somewhat seasonal (spring / summer), I'm trying to spread the word.
-
For biakbiak's menu, there are a lot of new rose wines on the market that could pair nicely (no, not the Sutter Home White Zinfandel). I picked up a White Merlot that's supposed to be dry. There is also a rose Pinot that I liked. Worth investigating.

If they bring the series up to 13, they can add Jason. I've only seen two films in this franchise, the first and maybe the seventh? Not sure. But for me, it felt like a James Bond film, no idea what the plot was, just lots of car chases. I know I'm seeing F8, so I hope I'm not completely lost. I know already that this movie is a great Dodge commercial. People are calling for the Demon.

I'm glad it's not only me. The CSIs, and I had to quit Criminal Minds as well. -

That's okay; I think Bette Davis was beautiful, but everyone talks about how she had to be a good actress because she wasn't pretty. I think Joan was beautiful before the eyebrows took over.

Why are people so rude to receptionists? When did it become permissible to swear at strangers on the telephone? Yes, this is rhetorical. -

Commercials That Annoy, Irritate or Outright Enrage

That actually makes sense to me, since some of those packets are included with edibles, like candied popcorn and vitamins. I think the hair dryer warning must be for Ambien users. Isn't one of the side effects sleepwalking and doing odd stuff? -

Maybe it's because he was 49. :)
