  1. Hi everyone! I posted a bunch over on TWOP, but until now have only lurked here. Time to join back in! I wanted to ask if there are any Russian speakers out there? I took some classes years ago and have forgotten most of it, but still have some key words, so, my question is this: During SteVen and Alina’s vows, the officiant asked basically, if SteVen would be her husband (can’t remember the exact wording) and he replied “ Ochen prevyet”.. um doesn’t that translate to “very hello”? And not “yes”? I wonder if that is some kind of loophole that he will use to weasel out of the marriage later on, as he didn’t actually say “da”. thoughts? Glad to finally be back after years of lurking!
  2. BECCA, STOP MESSING WITH YOUR HAIR. Blake. NO vocal fry! Make it go away.
  3. I cannot believe no one has seen that Garrett is Brendan Fraser! LOOK!
  4. I'm not an illusionist or "escape artist" by any means, but jeez, that sand act was so transparent! The sand only came down through a front panel, he dumped out the back and switched out with the guy who ran in back..please, do better than this!
  5. Testosterone overload! Testosterone overload! Those men got on my last nerve. I hope they form a circle around the magical appearing pig, and miss it and shoot each other.
  6. I really didn't like Chance at all...until he decided to stay in camp. What a nightmare to be thrust into.Russell is a bloviating egotistical turd, and I am losing my love for Fernando for not setting him straight. Melissa, you were smart to keep going.
  7. Anyone remember the photo company Olan Mills? Remember how EVERYONE seemd to look similar to all of the other portraits? Kind of a Stepford plastic look? That's what I get when I see these dudes...they all look basically interchangeable.
  8. Why did all three women have to go to the river during the day, knowing the fire back at camp could have gone out?! Seriously! There are three of them, one should have stayed behind, and might not have gotten hurt. Also, I hope Fernando can shed himself of Shannon soon and meet up with the rest. He is my favorite so far. I'm wondering if we are going to see the fall of the two "kings of the jungle"because of all the bragging. I hope not.
  9. So,, why doesn't Frenando's partner sleep during the day? They have fire and shelter, so mostly look like they just lie around most of the time anyway. I'm the same kind of sleeper, I toss and turn most of the night, but nap during the day, and that helps. As for the pitiful Matt, he should have bulked up before even starting this round. He was waaay too skinny to start, and had no fat reserves. Did he do no research? ...and good for the guys getting that pig! I hope they can properly smoke it so they can feed off it for a while. ..I think I was napping when the women said they were fishing at night..was there a good reason for it, aside from manufactured drama?
  10. Why don't these people ever make soup? They have bones, and flesh on bones..and those who have a pot? It drives me nuts! They could boil up the carcasses and make something more nutritious than a frog on a stick. We just got a turtle! Lets cut all the meat out and grill it! Ever hear of turtle soup? Wow.
  11. Stanch and staunch are two different words, spelled differently, with different meanings. Give me a break, gah.
  12. Her husband, Ron , is doing very well. They had to go to Colorado for his surgery and recovery, so we couldn't have a viewing party as planned, but we've all been celebrating like crazy on Facebook. And, we get to do it again on monday! I actually haven't seen the show, as I am traveling, and my hotel doesn't carry a channel that has it, boo. But, I'm dvr'ing it so I can watch when I get home on Wednesday. As for her voice work, she does primarily radio spots, and has a friendly neighbor next door delivery. She and her husband write "theater of the mind" scripts, science fiction, which we perform every fall at the planetarium. It's great fun..radio like scripts with live sound effects..the actors are behind the planetarium dome and show up as ghostly images behind the cool planetarium visuals. It's a blast. The show she wrote was entitled "Thank Flebster it's Grunyak". I hope she talks about it on Monday. (Or was it Thank Grunyak it's Flebster?!?)
  13. Here is her response to an interview question about her experience. Enjoy! “I credit the win to the fact that a lot of the Final Jeopardy questions are answerable with an educated guess, which is what mine was. I was behind going into Final Jeopardy … I had $7,000-some and the leader has $12,000-some. That’s because I totally blew a Daily Double. I picked it when it was the last question left on the board. It was in a category that I knew very little about – Lighthouses – and I was 2,000 behind the leader. I really wanted a lead going into finals, so I bet $3,000 — and then had no clue what the answer was (though I will remember forevermore that the lighthouse off North Carolina is Cape Hatteras). The Final Jeopardy category was British Novels. I have a decent background there, but the leader (who was the returning champion) was currently a PhD student in English Lit. That meant he was on top of this stuff, while my degree is from 37 years ago. But all I could do was bet heavily and hope. The answer was “THE TITLE OF THIS 1908 NOVEL IS AN ALLUSION TO THE HOTEL IN FLORENCE WHERE THE NOVEL STARTS & ENDS THE NEXT YEAR.” I didn’t know the answer – so I started rummaging through my brain for titles that might be something to do with a hotel room. I thought of one that might fit (though I’d never read the book), and I knew it was about the right time period, so I went with that. ‘What is A Room with a View?’ — and I guessed right. Luck was with me and neither of the other guys got it.” Read More: Casper Woman Is New Jeopardy! Champion | http://kisscasper.com/casper-woman-is-new-jeopardy-champion/?trackback=tsmclip
  14. Nope, it's Pat! ( we share the same first name)..But our mutual friend Jane would be happy to hear you thought it was her, lol.
  15. Haven't posted in forever, but I must tell you how excited I am. Pat, the champ from tonight, is a dear friend of mine, and we have been waiting since DECEMBER to see how she did! And give her half a break about Cape Hatteras, we are in way landlocked Wyoming, thousands of miles from any kind of lighthouse. What has been fascinating, have been her posts about the behind the scenes workings of the show. Pat and I have done community theater together for nearly 20 years, and she has been working so hard to get on the show. I couldn't be prouder. And here is an interesting bit of information...between the shooting of this episode, and Monday's, it was over a month, at which time her husband had a lung transplant. They are fantastic people.
