  1. I read a few of hers as my mother was a big fan of Mary Higgins Clark and moved on from her to Carol Higgins Clark. 66 may not be young but it's too young to die 😧.
  2. I always wonder about these shows that say they they have crucial information and people saying they know who committed the crime. I mean possibly true, but honestly if you claim to know who murdered someone would you want to let the murderer know this? If someone has killed already what would stop them from killing you if they believed you had anything more than speculation to back up your claim?
  3. Sadly, it comes down to romance writers not getting much respect. Write a book full of doom and gloom and grisly death and you get awards, write positive, life affirming books, and you get a lot of people who love the books but will never admit to reading them.
  4. Same with salt. I had to be really cautious about salt after a recent surgery and when I was able to eat more normally again I found things that were supposed to be lightly salted tasted over salted to me. Not a bad thing really as it's made me appreciate less salt now which I thought would never happen.
  5. I don't know if anyone here ever read Karen of With Love From Karen, but these were two books I read and re-read back in the day - they were about the Killilea family and dealing with Karen having cerebral palsy. Anyway Karen died in 2020, her older sister, Marie died in 2021 and I just heard that Rory, the only brother died a few months ago. Of course it should not be surprising that people now in their late 70s/early 80s have died but for me they will always be the children I read about and loved.
  6. Could this have been a decision her family made? I mean not releasing information about her death through her publisher or a publicist of some kind?
  7. I wonder if this is just another way to muddy the water in terms of what was said on BBT. They come close, like in the affair that so far hasn't been an affair, but they change things up just enough that we are probably supposed to stop comparing this show to BBT.
  8. I didn't even know who he was until I started seeing adverts for a show called, I think, Bubkis. Anyway I hate to be this shallow but he is just not a good looking man at all. But maybe he has a great personality...
  9. This is like Penny on BBT who starts off saying she was in junior rodeo and can hogtie and castrate a bull in 60 seconds and by the end of the series she can't even use glue without getting it all over her hands!
  10. For me it was Reggie from the Archie comics. For ages I thought it was pronounced as Eggy but with an R.
  11. Thank you for your responses! I think I will spend some time trying to find a source to watch in sequence so I will be up to date when the new season starts!
  12. One of my peeves is not knowing how to actually pronounce words I've never heard said out loud. I'm not the only one:
  13. New to primetimer and also new to this show. I hope this is the right place to ask this question! I've only seen 2 episodes but loved them both. I am wondering if it matters if I just watch as they show up or if it is better to try and see this show from the start of the series? I know with some shows it really does matter if you see them in sequence.
  14. I really liked both episodes, but the two things that stood out for me were the flight attendant giving Mary the gin and tonic and the way in the end Missy acknowledged she'd been an awful brat and was sorry. Of course she's 13 she's going to mess up again, but I liked that at least in the moment she did realize she was in the wrong.
