  1. To me, the difference is if the card guy from last week is wrong, then his customers are equally vulnerable when using his product as they were without it. With the password guys, their customers could be more vulnerable for using the product. The problem with a service that stores all of a persons passwords is what Mark identified, a hacker just goes to one place and can get access to everything. Every credit card, every bank account, every piece of personal identification online. That's why I think the sharks were so right to be concerned with the security of the product. If this company doesn't stay ahead of hackers, they could open themselves up for liability. That pitch did make me uncomfortable though. You don't want to invest. Fine. I don't think those presenters were bad guys or trying to pull one over on the sharks. They were in over their heads. I think that level of reaming should be reserved for the people who come trying to run a scam. I absolutely loved the Loliware pitch just because it put Robert in full on Charlie Brown mode. I loved the chaos of all of the sharks positioning against each other and that the entrepreneurs had a very clear choice: Barbara or Robert. Poor Robert set up the deal only to have Barbara yank it away from him.
  2. To clarify, I was saying Kelly was tweeting about the show. She was giving her impressions on a lot of the artists. I would like to see her as a coach. I
  3. For some reason, it didn't hit me until reading your comment, but the creep Fred Savage played on Boy Meets World was also named Stuart. He should not have made a move on Topanga! I enjoyed the pilot. A little too much set up, but the table negotiation and Kumail were both hilarious. I'm not a teen, but I may start tagging all of my social media posts #teenlife. I kind of like the idea of having Stewart being inept at the theatrics necessary for trial. Realistically, he probably shouldn't be a trial lawyer, but being able to effectively engage a jury is a real skill for trial attorneys. Also, I completely didn't care that there were 10 million objections to the Grinder's calling a witness during closing, it was fun and I was totally along for the ride. Rob Lowe has the charisma to bring the audience along and I'm excited to see this show develop.
  4. Kelly Clarkson basically live tweeted the show tonight. Where do I sign to get her as a coach next season? She would be amazing.
  5. Thanks for the tidbit. That sounds like something spoon fed from PR. Maybe it's true, maybe it's not. It's not that I think Blake is in a bad way, he just seemed a little disconnected for me. Maybe it's the chemistry with the coaches. Gwen doesn't work for me, so maybe that's contributing too it.
  6. Same. I also enjoyed his eye roll when the John Rich protege talked about his label getting shut down. I think the producers knew and I wouldn't be surprised if Blake knew too. Are you two married? Funny you should mention it Blake... I get that it's a fairly obvious question, but his delivery sounded stilted to me. Maybe I was just looking for it. Kudos to Blake for remembering the long hair kid (whose name I cannot remember myself). It shows he means it when he says he's plugged in to Nashville. I'm feeling overwhelmed by too much country this time, but the fact that the kid picked a classic rock song that's also in Blake's sweet spot makes me really excited for this team. Blake's hatred of rolled up jeans was one of my highlights tonight. Blake feels a little disconnected this season (maybe I'm reading into because of the gossip over his divorce) but he still comes out with some zingers that make me laugh out loud.
  7. Thanks. I tried to look for a ring, but I couldn't see it. I think he was moving his hands to much when I was looking. Carol did sleep with Phil 2.0 without a wedding. She explained that the wedding was only required for re-population. It makes me wonder if Phil and Carol have revisited the re-population idea or maybe they married for love this time. That's actually a pretty big piece to fill us in on. I got that Phil developed feelings for Carol at the end of the last season, but he also is always looking for what's better. I'm curious what made Phil decide he wants to spend his life with Carol, even knowing its possible other people could show up at any time.
  8. I agree, that's the likely explanation for what happened. Second Phil was never keen on Tucson. I liked getting back to just Phil and Carol. Phil was also more likable without other women to lust after or men to compete with. They seemed to make decent time getting across the country. Just one of the little things we're supposed to overlook. Was the remarried drawing just Carol's fantasy? Did Phil just skip over it when looking at her drawings. Her other drawings were things that happened, so I was a little confused as to whether they had stopped off at Niagra Falls. I half expected Phil to see that and think Carol had gone to Niagra Falls.
  9. I'm kind of disappointed Gina didn't put on the pigeon costume and perform a highly choreographed dance. I feel like she would have started working on choreography as soon as she found out about the pigeon character. Great start to season 3.
  10. I agree with Iwan being the worst of night two. I also think Iwan has less potential than Ainsley. I think Ainsley has more rhythm and will do better in latin. Having tango week one is a bit of a challenge for the pros. On a night when everyone wants to make a big impression, tango is difficult because it tends to be forgettable unless executed very well. Ainsley struggled, but Natalie's choreography was also weird in spots for a standard tango. I liked Jeremy and Karen. I'm no Karen fan, mostly because I find her legs to be strange in latin, but I think she does well with partners with personality. Jeremy will not be a great dancer, but I wouldn't mind seeing this partnership develop for weeks to come. He also might be a guy who does better with standard dances. I was thoroughly entertained by their dance which is more than I can say for several other dances. I'd love to see an Anton showdance this series. Make it happen. I loved Georgia May's partnership with Giovanni. They seemed to have a great rapport and great chemistry. I just hope their chemistry stays where it is and doesn't get forced into showmance territory. Two young, attractive people being told how much chemistry they have week 1 is a recipe for showmance. If they avoid that pitfall, I'm on board with this team.
  11. I didn't think the last country guy (James, per the app) was all that great. I'm fine with Adam getting him then. The standouts for me tonight were Evan , Emily Ann, and Ellie. I think they all have potential. There was no way Ellie was going to pick anyone but Gwen. It will be interesting if having someone so in her wheel house will help Gwen's coaching. Gwen really struggled last time she was here.
  12. So they couldn't even have Leonard or Penny pretend to care about their families being present? More attention was given to Amy than to Leoanard's family (not wanting his mother their would be understandable) or Penny's family. I get that the show is about the group of friends, but it's a bit odd that Sheldon's mother made an appearance and I didn't catch any mention of having relatives watch the live stream. Maybe the families' disapproval can be the next way to make these characters miserable. Penny and Leonard started out so sweet. This is just blech. I agree with the person who said this was still an improvement over last season. It's a decent sitcom, even if I feel they are doing a major disservice to 2 of the core 3.
  13. I wasn't all that impressed wtth Barrett. Great personality, but his voice did nothing for me. Siahna and Jordan were my favorites of the night. Jordan was a great choice to have us play along.
  14. Isn't Janette like handicapping Peter? Jake was awesome in the latin but really struggled in the ballroom. I feel like that was Janette's own inexperience coming through. She's great to watch in latin, but unfortunately that's only half the show. Ainsley might get annoying, but I'm rooting for him because he's with Natalie. He could be fun and I think he's teachable. Iwan looks like a real character, but I suspect Ola is used to dealing with those. I'm struggling to tell the female celebrities apart. Too many actresses and presenters. Are any of them ringers? I suspect Tristan's partner can move as she also has a musical background. I hope Anton's partner has some potential. I know his latin is awful, but I'd like to see what he can actually do when given something to work with. The ones I'm looking forward too are Aliona and Jay, Brendan and the sportscaster, Ola and Iwan, Ainsley and Natalie, and the new Italian guy and whoever his partner is.
  15. Didn't his wife take to twitter to accuse him of cheating on her a year or so ago? I'm still not impressed with Gleb. He is failing upward though. He went from finishing last on DWTS Australia all the way to Strictly.
  16. Considering Mat and Matthew have both been in the bottom 2 while Emma and Ash have not, I'd say right now the women are the front runners. I think the judges have been harsh on Matthew in recent weeks and lenient on Emma. She's good, but she sometimes looks hesitant or even like she's forgetting what comes next. Honestly, no outcome would surprise me at this point.
  17. I'm actually pleasantly surprised this show is backing off on the whole Riley and Lucas as the new Cory and Topanga thing. These characters are so young. It's possible Riley realizes she'd rather have Lucas as a friend now and re-evaluate later on. That seems more realistic than I was expecting. I've always though the more interesting dynamics came in with Maya and Farkle or Maya and Lucas. Maya and Farkle probably my two favorite new characters. Farkle found some choice moments this week and I loved Maya's filmstrip parody bit. Eric needs to stay all the time. I love him.
  18. The fact that a man and a woman can act like they are in love for the sake of the dance is often lost on U.S. audiences, so I wouldn't be surprised if it's a point lost on Australian audiences as well. Some people still believe these pros fall in love with their partner every. single. season. Anyway, Edwina was awkwardly pointing out a lot of significant others throughout the show. I'm not sure what the point of any of it was.
  19. Did you have another pick to leave? I liked Sam and I felt like she was improving, but she was on borrowed time. Two of the weakest 4 (Jude and Larry being the others) went home. I can't really argue with that. Then again, I can't really judge Kelly easily against her competition. Speaking of the double elim, Todd, this was not the week to make a point by giving one of the better dancers a 5. While Ash was my pic for a shock elim at some point, I figured that would be because the audience would not warm up to her as much as others. The judges are supposed to reward technique. I think it was fair to point out Ash is too hard at times and even to take off a point or so, but no way was she the worst of the night. I expect more from judges. Then on the other end of the spectrum is Kym. That quickstep from Kelly was rough. The best explanation for Kym's score was she was taking Kelly's physicality into account, but I'm not sure that was near perfect even then. They probably should have skipped the quickstep for Kelly. I LOVED the music and costumes. Overall I really enjoyed the show. Mat was a real surprise for me. That was lovely and looked effortless. I completely agree about Matthew's posture. I think the costumes for him didn't help. He could have used a jacket and probably to be wearing something in the same color scheme as Masha. The stark contrast made his lines stand out, which was not to his benefit this week. I still enjoyed his performance and his love for Masha, even though it's clear neither of their significant others should be worried.
  20. I thought Jude was not good. He's so awkward. Nice to look at, but awkward. I agree about Matthew though. I love him. If I had to pick a winner right now I'd be split between him and Emma. Both are great dancers, but this show could use a female celebrity winner. I like most of the celebs, but for some reason Ash really bugs me. She's very talented, but I wouldn't mind her has a shocking elimination in a few weeks. Poor Giselle being kicked off in the first two eliminations.
  21. I watched from outside Australia! I really liked Matt, both in his personality and his dancing. He was a lot of fun. I'm getting the sense Larry is a big deal in Australia. Is that right? I thought he suffered from the same problem as the Boltons, lots of stops and starts, avoiding the assigned dance at times. Poor Carmelo isn't winning this time either. I like Jared and I think Ashley has a lot of potential, so that's good. I'm curious about Josh but sadly I don't think he'll be around long. His partner looked so elegant at moments, but she looked too scared overall.
  22. I agree, re: Mike. I'm wondering if they are going to push more people out in order to get everyone, including Amy and Dan back in. Jonah and his own personal Veep are becoming my highlight. They are so clueless together, it's awesome.
  23. According to Radar yesterday, they're still negotiating. I had previously seen Usher and Gwen, then Pharrell and Gwen, but nothing from really reputable sources. I'm surprised if they're still negotiating because in the past they filmed blinds while the previous season's live rounds were still airing. I hope it's not Gwen and Pharrell together. I think they're a little too quiet together.
  24. In the excitement from last nights results, I almost forgot one very important thing... Team Blake beat Team Adam! Woohoo! I genuinely liked Meghan better than Josh, so I'm pleased for that reason too. Let's face it, the contest between second and third was the only suspenseful part of the evening.
  25. This is pretty much me with 95% of the artists until we reach top 8 or so. Congrats Sawyer! He seems like a sweet kid. He also looked absolutely tickled to be performing with John Fogerty. He's obviously talented too, even if I did get bored with him after a while. I think given his age and his artistry, he has a decent enough chance of breaking the Voice curse. I remember back in the season of Tessanne/Jacquie/Will that Will's wife complained about his duet partner. I wonder if Meghan or Koryn will throw a fit about sharing Kelly. Then again, who could complain about sharing a stage with Kelly? She's the Queen of these singing competition shows and comes with talent and a great personality. Love her. I always get a kick out of the artists coming back for the group performances. They're a lot of fun and the last chance a lot of these artists will have to be on such a monumental stage.
