  1. I really don’t get Nate’s father saying he was hard because he didn’t know how to father a genius. Are we to take from this that Nate gave up whatever direction he had because his dads expectations were too high and that’s how he ended up a kit man? What is this genius?
  2. Who does Kate think killed her friends? The stalker? And then does she think Nadia killer her boyfriend because Nadia found out (or thinks) her bf killed Rhys? It’s very convoluted. We know that Kate knew her father had Joe kill Rhys right? And she dealt with the dna on Rhys. So then she must know that Eddie didn’t kill Rhys. I don’t know if Nadia was in prison for killing Eddie or Eddie and Rhys. And I don’t know if the stalker lady was still on the hook for the rich friends- Malcom and Gemma and the artist. (But wow was Gemma horrid). It was very unclear just how much Kate knows and is covering up. I hate if she helped with the Nadia frame job. And it’s very out of character w how they presented Kate up until the last scene with the reporter. also if I were Nadia I would have run/hid and thrown the knife in the Thames. Without her holding the bloody knife what evidence was there?
  3. My one complaint about this show is the bad guy is always so obvious. It’s always someone who stands out more than their part requires in an early scene. My husband and I have been correctly identifying “that person did it” since the second episode the minute they appeared on screen. So here I’ll be very surprised if the recognizable character actor with the one early scene doesn’t play a big part in the resolution.
  4. I’ve always thought it was interesting that my Irish in laws always hang out “the washing” to dry in the backyard given the frequency of rain. Now I get it.
  5. I thought it was more like did we make out / did we kiss. But also thought even that was weird because she wasn’t so drunk she’d black something out. Also was she coming out of the back room to him cooking? So if she woke on the couch and went back to pee or something had they not exchanged good mornings or hellos already?
  6. I don’t know if Mattsen really respected Shiv or is playing the same game her father did. He’s pretending to use her as an ally when he potentially could just be using her for his own ends and to get info on the brothers. So far she hasn’t said anything harmful but dynamics are in constant flux with these ppl. And that blood story could be BS.
  7. I had the same thought about Maggie consulting on the breast exam. She’s a highly sought after cardiologist, why is intern going to her for this?? Then everything they did in a matter of maybe a few hours. When I had a breast biopsy it was after my gynecologist referred me to a breast oncologist to review my mammogram results. Took a few weeks to get the appt where she reviewed my mammogram, did her own exam and I think sent me for new scans (sonogram maybe?). Then scheduled the biopsy, which I think I had done at a hospital. Then had to wait several days, at least, for the results. Later had a surgery to remove the benign mass. I know I know it’s tv but I’ve gotten increasingly annoyed with medical shows as I have more interactions with drs and surgeons myself. I had back surgery recently and the surgeon didn’t come see me after my surgery, much less interact w my family or give me life advice.
  8. Ever since I saw someone suggest that Winston could go work at a different hospital and still do cardio without working under his wife it’s been bothering me that it never comes up on the show. Then again Maggie would probably still be mad because her hospital is the only one that saves lives.
  9. There’s also what looks like an argument with some physical struggle between Ethan and Cameron in the water in the preview.
  10. Going out to eat can be hard when you don’t speak the language. The staff at the hotel all speak excellent English. In my experience Italians are less likely to speak good English as some other Europeans. So the guests at WL probably eat at the hotel because they know the menu and also don’t have to worry about money because they bill it to their rooms. Plus restaurants around hotels in tourist towns can be bad and overpriced (not that price is their concern at least not some of them). The language barrier is weird to me especially with the de grassos. grandpa was so excited to meet relatives but didn’t think about engaging an interpreter until Albie mentions finding one? they are so into their Italian roots but they can barely say basic phrases besides hello and good morning? They didn’t prepare a couple of phrases like “my family is from this town?” “my parents names are () and (). They grew up here”? They’re rich but didn’t have staff try to find relatives before showing up in the town? I was also thinking that the only reason they had to think that family of women was de grassos was the word of Lucia and she said she was from the area so she could have set up some other scam, who knows I don’t think she did, but was thinking might be the case after she drove off with her likely ex boyfriend / cousin/ brother. Or simply set it up so they knew which road to catch them on.
  11. When Q asked Tanya if she would die for beauty I thought “ what on earth would that mean”. But now I’m thinking of the story of the woman who fell to the rocks and Tanya’s conversation with Portia saying that she called her lawyer to see about annulling her marriage and I’ve decided that one way T could die for beauty is if she changed her will to leave money for Q or the estate and then died.
  12. Yes- in fact the actress who plays Portia crocheted the hat she was wearing with that cutoff jersey. She is styling the character herself and says she is intentionally picking trendy pieces that don’t go well together. I will try to find the interview where she says this and post in the media thread. l don’t like her style for the most part but don’t find it quite as hideous as some of you do.
  13. If you are talking about a civil legal case you need to have that workplace relationship - so that you have damages. Nothing I’ve seen between Harper and Cameron would rise to justify a civil case. If you’re talking about criminal case, there could be an indecent exposure claim which is a sex crime and maybe harassment but it would be a he said /she said situation and white rich guy isn’t going to get arrested criminally on the word of one person. Especially since it’s happening abroad and the Italian laws probably apply. (I’m a civil lawyer but not employment law).
  14. I thought maybe Cameron’s sexual come on to Ethan sounded like he was mocking Ethan by repeating something Ethan had said to Cameron in the past. Whether or not Cameron agreed in the past - who knows. But that may be what has a hold on Ethan - shame over asking Cameron maybe while drunk or high or both.
  15. Wilbur was adorable. one (another) annoying thing was when Dani (seriously the two new ppl are Dan and Danica??) said she distinguished between rats and pigs when asked about drug tests. From what a dr friend in pharmaceutical development told me yes, drugs are first tested on rats, but that’s just stage one. I forget what stage two is - maybe rabbits. But all drugs go through a primate testing phase before being tested on a human sampling. How does Dani feel about monkeys? Still better than pigs? Just a dumb thing to have a doctor say.
