  1. I have watched this show since the beginning, but somehow I completely have forgotten this storyline. Thanks for the recap!
  2. Can you remind me what happened with the older brother? I picked up from context that they had a brother who died, but I have no memory of this storyline.
  3. Sophia has some new videos up where she talks with her therapist about her depression (with Farrah present). It seems like an ad/sponsored post for this clinic. The clinic seems to really push their brain food supplements, so it seems a little scammy. Even if Sophia is fine with her therapy sessions being posted on the internet, it seems unethical. She's 13.
  4. Usually I can figure out some of what she is saying, but no idea. Maybe she kicked Sophia off her account? I love how disinterested Sophia seems in anything her mom does. She gushed in a TikTok over her newfound freedom on the platform, saying she is no longer "codependent" on social media. "I'm not going to brag or anything, but my TikTok is officially only mine!" the former MTV star yelled in the video. She continued: "Totally practicing that socially or non-codependent, that social codependent thing is no longer here. I am officially independent on social media, on TikTok, and I'm proud. I'm loud and proud." Farrah recorded the video inside her office with her daughter, Sophia, 13, sitting behind her.
  5. I'm going to share this new video of Debz rapping about a rat in her toilet. If you think you read that first sentence wrong, you did not. She is wearing the steampunk hat while rapping about a rat in her toilet. Let that sink in. When you will not be able to stop humming "can't go potty because he might bite my body" all day tomorrow, you're welcome and happy thanksgiving.
  6. She's back to brunette. I cannot decide if this is worse or better. Farrah-tastic! Who would be subscribing to hear Farrah's thoughts?
  7. Was there any point to Sandra Bernhard's character? I feel like I missed something maybe, but it has been more of a background show.
  8. So this is Farrah's current face.
  9. The explanation was confusing (when is it ever not with Farrah?), but this is what Sophia had said after the dog died: Sophia then explained on her Musical.ly account, "I was getting Blue to go outside and my only choice was to toss him outside. “And then I did, but then he went into shock and 30 seconds later he passed with no heartbeat." While fans accused Sophia of harming the pooch, Farrah denied the allegations and claimed the death was over “stress” from “construction” in their building. Maybe she only threw the dog onto the balcony and not over it, but still makes no sense why her only choice was to "toss him outside". Later Farrah livestreamed both of them crying at the vet with their dead dog and said they were going to get the dog stuffed, hence the latest Yelp review for the taxidermist. Why it took four years to stuff a dog, no clue. Sorry, a celebrity toy dog.
  10. A week from never? Your post inspired me to go check out her Yelp page again and I was not disappointed. The latest review for a taxidermist, a lot to unpack here: a celebrity toy dog, the disrespect to natural nature (has she seen her own face lately?). And now her celebrity toy (dead) dog has to sit in a box for all eternity because it is uneven. I really, really want to see a picture of this sad stuffed dog. I believe this is the dog Sophia killed a few years ago after she threw it off the balcony.
  11. Interesting outfit for Sophia. At least she's not dressing like Farrah. That's something. . . I guess?
  12. I was trying to place who that actor was, so thank you! Sam's dad had about as much personality as his son. He hadn't seen him in however long and he barely speaks to him while making him the saddest sandwich ever. Last week, I thought Sam would show up at his house and his dad would have a new family. Sam's mom was the worst until the very end. When she said I can't (I cannot!) in regard to turning Sam in, that was not true. Yes, you can. It's like those people that say they could never be a foster parent. You don't want to and that's fine, but don't act like you can't actually do it.
  13. I guess that's something given the amount of time this show focused on how long he urinated. You are clearly too talented to work for Hulu! All of these alternate endings are so much better.
  14. I liked this episode! I thought Erica's pregnancy would be dragged out much longer, so it's nice to be done with that. The baby's name was sweet as was the whole voiceover at the end while everyone held the new baby. There is just something about a new baby that brings so much joy. The uncle subplot was dumb, but enjoyed seeing Uncle Buck and the giant food at the end was silly. After ten years, I don't need this show to change that much. So many other things have changed in the last ten years - everything from presidents to pandemics and a million other things - that this show is somehow comforting. No one ever changes too much, not really, and that's okay for me. Bev has been toned down just a bit this season, but she's still Bev. Same with some of the other characters. As long as I don't overthink some things about this show, I still can enjoy it.
  15. I used to love Christopher Pike books as a teenager and couldn't wait for the next one to come out. I wish I had kept some of my paperbacks from back then. It would be interesting to reread some of them as an adult. I remember not liking his books as much when he veered more into science fiction. Final Friends series and Remember Me (the first one) were some of my favorites, but I wonder if they aged well. Gimme A Kiss was one of his earlier books and the herpes motive was pretty dumb. Scavenger Hunt was another favorite. It had a bit of a supernatural twist and a bittersweet ending. Whisper of Death started off really creepy, but ended up turning into some kind of anti-abortion propaganda. Did not enjoy any of his adult books - think one was about a woman who was god and another was about a mission to Mars. I just remember being bored with both. I had no idea Pike was an EP on the show. That's really cool. He always seemed so reclusive, only sharing a paragraph bio in the back of his books and using a pseudonym and all. Oh, I just remembered his books always used to include a chapter of the next book that would be coming out. That was fun. I enjoyed the series overall. I remembered just enough of the source material for the stories to tell when they were leaving things out or changing the stories, but enough that overall I could tell what the book was. A second season would give them a chance to tell more of Pike's stories. He certainly wrote enough to keep the series going for years!
  16. Or Dr. Strauss kills psycho mom and then tries to saw off his own foot with the razor blade foot cream, but only makes it halfway before he passes out and bleeds to death. I think you are spot on for season 2 - sad sack Ezra stapling his sad flyers to trees.
  17. I can hear the way Tracy delivered those lines just reading them and it still makes me laugh. Also, I can't read your username without automatically pronouncing it spa-chi-men. Dr. Leo had so many weird and awesome lines. Those boys did have an impressive knowledge of eighties sitcoms. Sorry, I mean those men.
  18. When they were poking through the ceiling, it didn't seem like they were concerned about impaling the guy. It was nice that they at least came back at the end to fix the house. It seems like maybe they are setting up May's (I think that is her name) return to the call center.
  19. I did the same thing with 30 Rock. TGS sounded like a horrible show (robot bears?), but I loved the show enough not to think too much about it. Some of the titles of Zach's straight to video movies remind me of Tracy Jordan's made up movies on 30 Rock. I can buy that all the actors on Step Right Up are willing to do the show even with the change of direction in writing because they need the money or haven't been able to land other roles, but I don't get why Hannah was willing to let her dad take over the show and make it essentially the same sitcom as it was. Clay's outtakes were funny as he was trying to say the lines. He just really needed a hug.
  20. Some really funny lines this episode: "This was a gift from my husband when I caught him balls deep in his secretary." "There's that darkness." "If I walk too fast my uterus will fall out." "Next time, go for the free pants." Brie's lines every time someone complimented her: "Okay, she's my new favorite." "I am obsessed with you." "Okay, where have you been hiding, superstar?"
  21. "I'm just kidding. I'm not going to fuck his skull" Okay, no idea why, but that's the first time I laughed out loud at this show. So stupid. Also, I assumed his father had died already, but I'm probably not paying enough attention. Onto the finale next week!

    S01.E08: Ezra

Yes, you're right. I think his boss had just picked up takeout from a restaurant or had just finished dinner and Sam approached him just as he was leaving and there were people around. I could be wrong because I tend to have this on more as a background show. Seems like the restaurant or other businesses in the area might have cameras. It would be easy enough for the police to track his final movements and location based on the pickup order/payment method. Also, his car is likely parked in the area. I don't know if his murder would be linked to Elias since there is no body. Sam hid his body somewhere while he left his boss right there next to the trash bin.

    S01.E08: Ezra

I thought Ezra's son was upset the candies weren't kosher, but maybe not. I went back and the candies were from the kosher deli. I assumed everything in there was kosher. Maybe it was just out of character for Ezra to bring home candy. He seems pretty rigid with the rules and the type who rarely deviates from his set routine. Sam killed his boss after escorting him from a public place. There must be cameras there because there seem to be cameras everywhere nowadays. Also, are we supposed to assume this was the first time his boss has annoyed him this much? I assume his boss was also the guy who allowed Elias' restaurant to be reinspected. That caused him to murder Elias, not his boss. So what was the difference this time?
  24. This is my first time starting a topic. I can see why no one else has yet. This episode was SO boring.
  25. Much respect for anyone who has gone through childbirth because that looks horrible and just no. I wish test tube babies were actually grown in big tubes and then after nine months or so, you just crack open the glass and you have a big, fat, clean baby. Since that's not yet reality, I opted for adoption. I'm glad Nyla finally had the baby because that pregnancy suit they had her in was huge. I thought for sure twins, but no. I know she actually gave birth in real life, but assuming this was a fake stomach. And wow, I can't believe she is 40 years old. From her Instagram, she did actually have a home birth and thanked the writers of The Rookie for depicting and normalizing the experience. I'm not sure if she knows what the word normalizing means. Hopefully there won't be too many baby in distress storylines, although those may be preferable to Bradford/Chen or crazy serial killer lady storylines.
