S04.E10: My Best Friend’s Wedding
SnapHappy replied to chitowngirl's topic in Only Murders In The Building
I loved that dress on Selena, she pulled it off perfectly. And agreed, Meryl's dress was lovely, but it was a little too close to her skin tone. That ivory should have been a touch more golden, but I liked her hair too, with the wrapped braids & a few flowers. Slightly Bohemian without going hippie. I'm totally satisfied with the ending. But they better not bring back Zack, Eva and Eugene. They need to be done with this show! -
Dillwad's office probably supports the charity and gave out tickets to employees. The Dillards never spend a dime of their own money on anything charitable, and go out of their way to find freebies, even when they can pay. They don't donate their time or participate in anything unless they get some advantage, like the swim lessons. She says nothing about the organization, just it's fun getting dressed up. So what was "impactful"? The website for the organization is bare bones, has minimal background info and a few photos with no captions. For all it's supposed to do, it doesn't seem to be looking for much attention. And the "Contact" link is broken. Not a single person is identified as a director or organizer. Shabby. They do support the Boys & Girls Club, a worthwhile cause. But do you think their boys are members? Doubt it. There's a membership fee. These people are still incredibly dull.

S1. E12 Dance Like the World Is Watching
SnapHappy replied to Ms.Lulu's topic in RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars
YAAAAAAAAAYYYYYY!!!!!! I am SO happy and pleased for Alyssa! Finally, the contestant I wanted to win has done it! For the first time in ANY race season! *LOL* They all performed so well, and really did themselves and their countries proud. I really enjoyed the way they did the final lip synch, so we could see them all without them fighting for room on the stage. I thought they'd do 2 face offs, and the winners would do the final song, but I liked this a lot better. They had all the room they needed for their moves. And I'm really glad nobody pulled their wig off for a "reveal"! I'm thrilled and exhausted. And ready for the next season!! -
S1.E10: There's No Place Like Home

I like Nelly too, such drama and a bit OTT, but fun to watch. And her acceptance of the whole "Pizza Margherita" bit has been gracious. I can't wait to see the back of Qween. I hope it happens before the finale. -
Guest Judge: Ts Madison Main Challenge: Create a home-country tourism video Runway Theme: Star Trek: Queens in Outer Space Challenge Winner: Alyssa Edwards Challenge Prize: A $10,000 cash tip I'm cribbing this info from the Wikipedia site, but not including the final lip synch and winner/loser I will say that Nelly in the finals is a bit of a shock to me. I just don't think she's put in the effort. I was very happy to see Alyssa as the first queen selected for the finals. Her Runway outfit just captivated me, as her final wardrobe selections always do.

If there was a single person on this show I would most NOT want to ever have back for any reason it's Paul Rudd/Glen. Hate with the fire of a thousand suns is downplaying my feelings..... And why am I not surprised that Howard didn't want to give up Hammy Faye. I assume she gets along well with Sevelyn, and I'd love to see that.

Global All Stars S01.E09: Re-United Nations Makeover

Vanity had a smirk I would kill for! But she wasn't over-the-top mean. I was hoping she'd make top 3. -
Global All Stars S01.E09: Re-United Nations Makeover

I was sad to see Vanity go, I really liked her. And I totally agree with the Raven evaluation, YIKES! There was just nothing attractive in any of that, legend or not. And I don't like clothes that deliberately highlight the bare male ribcage/abdomen area. Just my thing. Also agree that if Qween could spit on them all, she would. The rampant ego is just so out of proportion to actually having the goods she thinks she has. She's more delusional than any in the bunch. I think the Nelle aspect that annoys me the most is the constant sing-song voice. Really, just for 2 seconds, maybe let go of that toddler-speak. The makeup challenge WAS great though, a well deserved win. Now maybe she'll quit whining. I just want Alyssa to go all the way to the win. I also really like the way Alyssa starts the Werkroom day very nicely dressed, usually a suit of sorts and always already put together. Just comes off respectful and a showing of self-worth. No shredded jeans, worn out sweats, cut-offs or Crocs on that queen! I think it's classy. -
Sad about our NY Jeff, but the show is not everybody's thing. How has Sumayah managed such a pronounced vocal fry and uptalk worthy of a bored California teen, mixed so thoroughly with that Brit accent that turns into Scots? My ears are SO confused! She is VERY nice though. Good for her getting STARB. I'll have to say, JD Vance needs to get some guyliner tips from Noel, because as usual, he's ON POINT! Is it just me, or does Alison say "BiKE" instead of "BAKE"? Just me?....ok.... More fiber craft spotting: Christiaan wearing an awesome crochet granny square button up. HUGE kudos to whoever made it, it's fabulous. These folks are already besting Noel in the Sweater Smackdown! Ok, back to baking. Poor Hazel, done in by too much butter in her biscuits. If she was a US Southerner, we wouldn't be talking about cookies and she wouldn't have had to re-make anything. *LOL* She just couldn't get it right for this crowd. And OMG, Nelly is just the best character we've had in a long time, and she is SO real! "Can you feel the Jam"? *ROFL* The Nelly & Noel Show is one we didn't know we needed! The mint creams were a throwaway round for me. Chocolate & mint exist 2 ways in my world: York Peppermint Patties and Girl Scout Thin Mint cookies. Full stop. Dylan is smoking hot. He's got that sexy Jason Momoa look crossed with a Samurai, with the gash through the eyebrow thing. *whew* Showstopper: Pretty much a tent-wide disaster. OMG, Christiaan has a color-coded spreadsheet?....*Heeheeh* Paul Hollywood has mellowed SO much over the seasons. I've always adored that silver fox, and it's nice to see him softening in his attitude and taking more into account the emotion behind the bakes as much as the techniques. He's finding more to compliment, than to criticize. That's evolution. Hazel was not a surprise. What a sweet lady, she was a trooper.

Brace youself - the Queens are getting shady! This week RuPaul's 7 remaining Global Glamazons battle it out in an International Roast in front of judges Michelle Visage, Jamal Sims and Graham Norton. But who will slay and who will sashay away? Vanity Shade: "Kinda ironic to send the Canadian queen home to a Canadian singer" LOVED that! Then the smirk! Vanity really IS the LS assassin for this season, and well earned. I'm a big Vanity fan. When Alyssa is on screen, I spend so much time pausing, and rewinding just to take in every perfect, tiny thoughtful detail of her looks. They never fail to amaze me, and I can't imagine how much time it takes her to assemble each one. Just phenomenal. Nehle was so funny! And like the others, I didn't expect it. I love how the Pizza Margherita theme keeps flowing through and she's such a good sport about it. I haven't liked her much this season, but this was a good episode for her.

5 minutes in and Paul already smiled & laughed more than he has in the last 5 seasons! I've always loved him, and he so warm & genial now. And my beloved Noel is still enchanting me. I love Alison too. Together they are magic! I'm a knitter, and Sumayah is wearing a sweater that's going to be all over the Reddit knitting boards this weekend, with folks looking for that stitch pattern! *LOL* Baking & knitting often go together! Very cool technical challenge, working without even the abbreviated recipe as usual. I like the change. So much creativity already! That fried rice paper flower is brilliant! Those were some of the best showstoppers ever! I was happy to keep them all for another week!

No, no you aren't. I can't stand him. Never have, since I first saw him as Josh in "Clueless".

I'm actually not enjoying it very much. The first 2 seasons had a bit of goofiness & campy comedy, but this season just comes off stupid to me. I HATE Paul Rudd's character. I mean, REALLY hate. And Molly Shannon & the sisters are useless & obnoxious time sucks for me. Eva Longoria is just nasty, and not in a fun way. The TV boyfriend of Loretta, "Jonk", was an asinine invention and described as basically a porn king. The John McEnroe cameo was the only entertaining part for me. And that was minimal. The best thing I can say about Eugene Levy was that he didn't annoy me. I just don't get how something I liked so much has turned into something I don't even want to finish watching. If they had kept the movie out of it, I think I'd feel differently. I still love Martin, Steve & Selena and their characters. They just don't have any room to breathe and are being smothered by 47 irrelevant and annoying outsiders....

S01.E07: The Snatch Game of Love
SnapHappy replied to davidcalgary29's topic in RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars
I was not in the least bit amused by Snatch Game, I don't like this version at all. I like the traditional setup. Zeus & Alyssa/Annie were both amusing, but not funny. They both made me smile, but neither made me laugh. Kween Dong was ridiculous. I want whatever the fuck meds Ru is on to make her think it was all so hilarious. Alyssa is really going for the Miss Congeniality award while in the group. She's always the first to compliment & console, so she's got that nailed, no matter how put on it may be. I do love Alyssa, so I don't care that she's a fake-ass bitch. My problem with Gala was the lack of clothing, thus the lack of drag. Yet again, it was a mostly naked male body with just the barest hint of effort. If I want constant man abs & nipples on my screen, I'll just keep replaying Pit Crew appearances. I was glad she was finally let go. I do love the roasts when they go well. I'm hoping next week will restore my enjoyment level in this show. Bonus: Minimal Michelle Visage -
But that wasn't a customer order, it was his off-hours experimentation. Of course we understand not sending out sub-par food to a paying guest, but if you're making it as a test-drive, and throwing it out without even tasting, it is expensive waste and looks far too diva-ish and further jacking up the cost to the customer.
