  1. There's an autoplay option in Hulu that I had to disable a while back because sometimes it would randomly kick in about 10 minutes before the end of an episode. Left me very confused at first, because it was like it froze for second, then jumped to a completely different episode, instead of giving the option to jump to the start of the next episode. Disabling autoplay stopped it. In Roku's Hulu app, go to the icon in the upper right corner (will have the first two letters of the profile name), Settings, select Autoplay <Off>. I had bad weather in my area for one episode, which meant no show due to 3+ hours of live weather reports, so I watched the next day on Hulu. That was when I first heard one of these, but I didn't realize it was an ongoing thing. I figure it's just a fun Easter egg, but I like that sort of thing.
  2. Olu and Tunde How about Dottie getting an apartment in the same building as Olu and Tunde? They all seem to get along, and could keep an eye on each other once Abishola and Dele move in with Bob. They could have a lot of fun playing "evil in-laws" to keep Bob and Abishola on their toes.
  3. I believe it would be, but if they found two out of three escapees, they'd just assume the third was still out there. No need to check exiting vehicles. It would be super amusing if Martin got outsmarted by the doctor. She appeared to be truly upset at him leaving her behind. Maybe she's the woman scorned and managed to find him on the outside, stuff him in her trunk, then waited for the heat to die down before she left again. I'm not clear on the timeline, but they're not exactly going to be checking incoming vehicles.
  4. I get the impression you're on to something, based on next week's preview. No telling if it will tie into this bit of Bryan's alt-timeline past or not, but after a slow start, I actually feel like the show is trying to build on the foundation they've been laying. I don't think the war criminal thing was just a throwaway bit to show a different timeline.
  5. My grandmother was totally silver by 20. Since genetics are fun, I started turning gray while I was still in high school. Still not totally gray, but it's a near thing. There's probably more early gray than you realize, thanks to hair dye. I was actually hoping Kemi would embrace her age a bit, but I don't think that will happen. It's not quite clear yet, but I think it's a second wife situation. I think Kemi's aiming for first wife status, with her and Chukwuemeka's mom selecting the second wife purely for the sake of having children. Since Nigerian marriages aren't exactly love matches, and the MIL gets grandkids out of the deal, as long as the second wife knows what she's getting into, it could work. Though I can't quite picture Kemi setting aside jealousy of a second wife and worrying that her husband will be more interested in her once she has kids, not to mention being jealous of the kids too. The Bible Showdown was great. It's nice to see Abishola defending Kemi on their home turf, so to speak. A more subtle thing I liked seeing was Bob and Chukwuemeka talking about the breakup at the pharmacy. Bob's still sometimes baffled by Nigerian culture, but he always seems willing to listen.
  6. I think the hula hoop was an easy and safe way to quickly see when the distance began reverting her back to being old. It's very likely that what the debris is doing on earth isn't what it was designed to do, especially things that affect biological processes which could be very different. The episode which changed people to breath a chlorine atmosphere could be a hint that the aliens do, and perhaps that debris was intended to be part of a terraforming process to make earth habitable by them. Or at least make someplace habitable by them. Was the ship on the way to takeover earth, was it damaged in battle, how did we figure out as much about the debris as we have in six months? Lots of interesting questions, but I have a bad feeling we're stuck in a Mystery Box, with no real answers planned.
  7. More than happy to share that last scene. The line delivery of "This is some bullshit" was great. Same. It would be one thing to aim it at a tree or into a ditch, but it went into cross traffic. I'm wondering if the Air Force guy will eventually work with the townsfolk once he realizes Harry is no longer on a mass murder mission. He mainly wanted to meet an alien, and that could be doable. How long will it take for the MIB to figure out the doctor is human? And wouldn't it be a fun twist if he wasn't? Harry has talked about multiple alien species, so what if there's one that could hide even from him? I'm really curious to see if anyone besides the audience will ever know that human!Harry was actually the murderer. His body was destroyed, but there's still a foot out there, right? The deputy was putting the stuff found in the lake together, and the sheriff was buying into it, but that was about Harry murdering, well, Harry, not the town doctor. Did human!Harry leave any clues behind that would link him to the crime? I have a feeling if there's any clues, it's going to be through his wife. She'd said Harry had withdrawn before ending up in Patience, so did the doctor figure out some big secret that had him in hiding? I had actually thought early on that human!Harry was the killer, but the timing didn't work out since he'd been replaced by an alien months earlier. Then it was revealed that it was tainted insulin that could have been left at any time. Hmmm. Though most diabetics don't keep several months worth of insulin in the fridge, just a month or two, but maybe it's different if you're a doctor with easy access. Though if you have such easy access, it's puzzling that he would set aside his own stash alongside the clinics. Once he cracked the seal, yes, but multiple unopened vials? That seemed weird, but may mean nothing.
  8. Texas Monthly: Alan Tudyk Is Ready to Be Taken Seriously After decades of playing goofy sidekicks, the El Paso–born, Plano-bred actor finally has a leading role. It's about Tudyk in general, but does include bits about Resident Alien. I didn't realize he's from North Texas, and I would pay money to see him play a character with his native accent dialed up to 11.
  9. @Tachi Rocinante: Here's the last scene on YouTube.
  10. I'm also enjoying the twin's relationship. I'm also thinking the powers thing is not only tied to Jordan protecting his brother, but perhaps because they're twins. Take both to the Fortress of Solitude and see what holo-grandpa says about them together. It would be a twist to give them powers, but only if the other is within a certain distance or something along those lines. If they ever tried to use their powers like dead ole dad to fight bad guys, that could be a weakness greater than Kryptonite.
