  1. Why did we never see Ophelia again after she got captured by Wayne Unser? I've gotten used to Alicia, Maddie and Strand together, so I hated to see that end.
  2. The last time I saw her, she was ruining Jax Teller's life on SOA. Season 6, I think? I actually like this show and I do think she is improving, just rather slowly. She should definitely leave things up to Daniel and Straind.
  3. Hasn't anyone else here ever read The Zombie Survival Guide, by Max Brooks? Of course Travis should jog. It's the one correct thing he's doing. Otherwise, his attitude and approach are useless. The barber is the best asset these people currently have. I'm not a consistent watcher of TWD, because I just can't really get into it; but what's going on in this show does make sense this early on. No fan of Madison, because I hated her on Sons of Anarchy, but at least she is questioning things, and starting to act in a practical manner. I seriously hope we see Tobias again; but not as a walker.
  4. Thanks, I'll go that route! Thanks! I've never tried to watch a network show in another method.
  5. Arrrgghh! I forgot it was back on last night. I planned not to read this, but ended up doing so anyway. Now, can somebody tell me what the fastest way is to watch it? I don't have a DVR.
  6. I'd say either theory is plausible. I had just assumed she was implying that Terra gets around.
  7. She did. I don't think that was fake at all.
  8. I also wondered if Christy and Todd going to the adoption counselor was producer driven? They lost interest pretty quickly. Todd is a puzzle. Last year, she was practically dragging him to the altar, and now he appears extremely devoted. Memo to Joe: when your ex shows up and you put on your sunglasses, it makes it look like you're still interested. Plus stupid.
  9. Lol. Poor Jana, I'd forgotten about her making all the dresses. Back in the 70's and 80's I went to school with a girl whose family belonged to an evangelical church of some sort. Same deal. She, her mother and her sisters had long, permed hair, top with another top under it and those heavy, bulky, long denim skirts. After graduation, she cut her hair short and to this day I've never seen her in anything other than slacks.
  10. I was pleasantly surprised by this update. From the way their original episodes went, I didn't really expect Paula or Chuck to be this successful. It seems like they both really buckled down, so good for them! I was also struck by how healthy they both looked. A lot of people I've seen, both on television and in person, who've had these bariatric surgeries seem to have a certain "look" about them. Like thin, limp hair, sallow skin tone and an almost deflated face. Aged, even. I thought James and his girlfriend Summer, plus the really young girl from the last season looked 20 years older after their weight loss. Paula and Chuck both had great hair, good coloring and their face shapes hadn't really changed. I don't know? Will say that Mrs. Chuck 3.0 must not own a television.
  11. I'm not the biggest Michelle fan, but I agree with you. It was unfortunate for SmugAnna that Michelle was pregnant with Josie at the same time. However, ever since then, I feel Anna has not only amped up her attention seeking behavior, but also rubbed her fertility in Michelle's face. I could actually empathize with Michelle's demeanor in the van. Fast forward, and Anna is pregnant again, even though Josh looks less than thrilled. Anna herself stated she wants to compete with her sister, plus she probably couldn't stand all the attention being paid to Jill and Derick. Ugh.
  12. Why is one side of an issue expected to be "tolerant" if the other side is not? Everyone is entitled to their opinion. If you believe your position is correct, you shouldn't need the other side to validate it.
  13. I don't notice her clothes or hair as much as before, either. I've said before that I think she's beautiful, in an unconventional way. Zoey was a snooze-fest, and I'm glad she's gone. I don't like Scarlett and Gunnar in a romantic relationship very well, but their songwriting/singing together has consistently been one of the best things about the entire series. She definitely has prominent cheekbones, but I think the biggest change about her now are her much darker eyebrows. They frame her face in an entirely different way.
  14. Thanks for making me laugh! I would also add that Teddy's storyline has become completely unrealistic. Are we really to believe that the wealthy, handsome mayor of a major city is a loner who can't do any better than an average looking, middle-aged hooker? If you read the Sons of Anarchy forum here, you would know that Rayna James is similar to Gemma Teller Morrow in the men department. I'll try to phrase it a little cleaner, though. Rayna has Magical Lady-Parts of Doom! I know! I really bought the connection between them last episode. Then, oops, the writers changed their minds, so let's go in the complete opposite direction. I know Layla was an evil twit in the beginning, and then when the label lost interest in her she just became desperate and pathetic, but nobody deserves what Will did to her. I took it more to be that he wanted her girls out of the way. Especially Maddie, because of Deacon. In real actual life, yes. On this show, I don't know? I can't keep count of how many tours have stopped, started, been completely re-configured and/or never began at all since Season 1? It has always seemed an implausible portrayal that major tours can begin or end on a moment's notice without any legal or financial consequences.
  15. LOL! Really! He does sound like that. So how does outer-fringe-British crossed with mid-California end up sounding like John Hughes-Chicago? Lol?
  16. So far, these episodes have looked ABSOLUTELY nothing like the last two seasons. This doesn't seem like the same show.
  17. I agree, CH was awesome; not only with Juice, but definitely with Nero. Yes, that's always been the biggest problem with these characters. Nobody(most especially, Tara)keeps their stupid mouths shut. I really never mind Charlie Hunnam's accent slips. Actually, a couple of weeks ago, I realised that when he gets upset, or raises his voice, it sounds like Cameron Frye from Ferris Bueller's Day Off impersonating Mr. Peterson on the telephone with Mr. Rooney. Then I got over it, and got back to watching the show. His acting this episode was wonderful. It couldn't have been better. Especially with his scene with Juice. With Nero, it was just icing.
  18. YES! I keep going back and forth betwixt wondering if Unser knows everything, yet is trying to protect Gemma; or, if he is the dumbest person/cop EVER? He is annoying and inexplicably self-righteous, so I didn't mind him being punched in the face. Plus, I then assumed that he provoked Jax so that he could try to get him arrested. I was afraid they would drag this out, so I was furious that Jax had left the burner phone with Juice. But after what it cemented in motion with Gemma, I understood the purpose. I've seen Jimmy Smits in several things; and while I thought he was decent, I never knew how good he was before this. His scene on the street with Gemma, whilst he was reacting to what he was being told over the phone, was brilliant. Not only does his dream of loving her die, but he also realises exactly what she has caused. I completely understood why he bounced up and down, and when he sat down on the curb and wept. Emmy, anyone? Until I read a link to an interview, I thought mayhap Barosky wasn't the rat. I was wrong. I've been tired of Juice for a bit now. But his scenes this episode were heartbreaking. He was so resigned, and he told Jax the truth. In the aftershow, they made a point to mention that after everything, Juice is still alive. Even after the scene with the guards, we didn't see his end. So I wonder if he will be left standing?
  19. I, also, was bothered by his wording. I gave him the benefit of the doubt that he was saying Abel said something without realizing that he shouldn't have; but after re-reading all the possible definitions, I believe Sutter means that Abel wronged Gemma. Ugh.
  20. TLC is rerunning the Josh and Anna "Courtship, Engagement and Wedding" episodes right now. Gag. Josh keeps saying, "Uohhh," like John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever, and Anna does some sort of bizarre cocking of her head. She has certainly worked on, and improved, the image she presents on television. I think she is as much of an attention seeker as Jill.
  21. I had forgotten. Annabeth Gish was on Criminal Minds, also. Thank you for bringing this up! Neither Jax, nor Gemma, have been even acknowledging Thomas. What is this about?
  22. After watching the scene, I wondered if that was why they made such a point of breaking his jaw before they took him out of where he was being kept? I think I do remember that before Marks pulled the gun, Bobby was making unintelligible noises. I mentioned in another thread that as tired as Criminal Minds has gotten, they still would have solved Tara's murder in about 2.5 seconds. Probably before the plane even took off. Off the top of my head, Jury White, Half-sac, Karen Oswald and Agent Kohn have all been on CM. Oswald and Kohn were in the same episode.
  23. Also, I wasn't clear about Juliette's brief conversation with Deacon in his dressing room? When she said there was now someone else involved, did he understand she meant a baby?
  24. Gunnar doesn't deal with one very well, let alone three. At the rate the show is going with adding new characters, I wouldn't be surprised if a few more turn up. Also, I'm mean for saying this, but the meth prostitutes on SoA might take offense at this! Yes she does! The whole committee planning the wedding and discussing their stupid couple-name was gaggy. It would have been creepy enough to send me running for the hills and taking out a restraining order. Their relationship is beginning to seem like as much of a business arrangement as Will/Layla. Luke does look exactly like a potato one might throw out because it's getting a little soft. And, I consistently find his behavior to be creepy. Too bad he never hooked up with Peggy, they would have been the ideal match. The only relationship or parenting advice Rayna could give at this point would be what NOT to do. I agree! And I don't blame him for what Maddie got away with last night. Wearing one thing out of the house, then changing into something else and giving a less than completely accurate description of where you're going are pretty standard teenager moves. Also, letting Daphne go bowling with her friend instead of keeping him company actually demonstrated that he cared more about her happiness than his own. Maybe Juliette should seek advice from Teddy, instead of Rayna. It also seemed incongruous of Jeff to allow Luke(who supposedly has a lot of female fans) to have his pukefest onstage with Rayna, but to not allow Will and Layla onstage together because it would hurt Will's standing with his female fans? Or, is it just that Jeff really hates Layla that much? I know someone else here asked why. To me, it seemed he originally signed her to annoy and outperform Rayna and Juliette. When she didn't deliver, he seemed to pretty much cut her loose in Season 2.
