  1. wise words. Betty seems like the type who will outlive her own children.
  2. People use grocery carts in apartment complexes as...carts. They keep them and take stuff up and down with them. The grocery stores often have to hire people to come to the complexes to get them back. Most people don't keep them inside the apartment. I like her apartment, the kitchen is well appointed, or at least current. Love the old/genuine exposed brick, a trip to West Elm and it would be nicely furnished. Who cares if the old boyfriend lived there, he doesn't live there anymore. No issue. I love animals of all kind, but could never have a farm. The animals would all be pissed off on Sunday when I slept in. Luckily my dogs have no problem sleeping in.
  3. Amira is in a very nice hotel in Amsterdam? who is paying for this?
  4. I don't know, I'm not going to argue with a group of people who were so well versed on the caucus-es. I guess I'm just plain old white! I've googled a few different answers, but I do know (now) that Persians are Caucasian. Here's where I was directed: Caucasus Topography of the Caucasus Countries[1][2] Armenia Azerbaijan Georgia Russia Related areas[show] Partially recognized or unrecognized countries Abkhazia Artsakh South Ossetia Autonomous republics and federal regions Abkhazia (since 2008, in exile) Adjara Adygea Chechnya Dagestan Ingushetia Kabardino-Balkaria Kalmykia Karachay-Cherkessia Krasnodar Krai Nakhchivan North Ossetia-Alania Stavropol Krai DemonymCaucasian Time ZonesUTC+02:00, UTC+03:00, UTC+03:30, UTC+04:00, UTC+04:30 Highest mountainElbrus (5,642 m) The Caucasus (/ˈkɔːkəsəs/), or Caucasia[3][4] (/kɔːˈkeɪʒə/), is a region between the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea and mainly occupied by Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and parts of Southern Russia. It is home to the Caucasus Mountains, including the Greater Caucasus mountain range, which has historically been considered a natural barrier between Eastern Europe and Western Asia.[5] Europe's highest mountain, Mount Elbrus, at 5,642 metres (18,510 ft) is in the west part of the Greater Caucasus mountain range.[6]On the southern side, the Lesser Caucasus includes the Javakheti Plateau and grows into the Armenian highlands, part of which is located in Turkey.[7] The Caucasus region is separated into two parts, which fall into two continents, the North Caucasus of Russia (Ciscaucasia) in Europe, and the South Caucasus (Transcaucasia) in Asia, respectively. The Greater Caucasus mountain range in the north is mostly shared by Russia and Georgia, as well as the northernmost parts of Azerbaijan. The Lesser Caucasus mountain range in the south is occupied by several independent states, namely, mostly by Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia, but also extending to parts of northeastern Turkey, northern Iran and the unrecognised Artsakh Republic. The region is known for its linguistic diversity:[8] aside from Indo-European and Turkic languages, the Kartvelian, Northwest Caucasian, and Northeast Caucasian language families are indigenous to the area.
  5. she acts like the ex still lives down the hall and will jump out of one fo the apartments. boo!
  6. I tread lightly because I don't want to say the wrong thing...but I have been told by my Iranian acquaintances that they are Caucasian and I am not (I'm Scandinavian descent). they identify as Caucasian/white. I had to google this, and they are in fact Caucasian, and I am not. I must have been sleeping during that part of geography class 30 years ago...as that (Caucasian) is what I have been putting on every application or census questionnaire as long as I can remember.
  7. I kinda hope Ryan takes Stephanie for all he can. she deserves it, does she think some 25 y/o kid wants to live with her and her cat. he's gonna run like the wind once he gets his status.
  8. what is it with Madison and big dick energy and calling Austen a beta? did she read that in cosmo (does cosmo still exist?). use the phrase once, if it makes you happy....repeatedly using it just makes you look ridiculous. we all heard you the first time...
  9. thank you. you said it in a million ways I never could. I'd love to hear your thoughts on Austen/ Madison!
  10. absolutely, and it was endorsed/perpetuated by Bravo.... now they are turning the bus and seemingly blaming it all on Kathryn. for 7 years they had an all white cast doing nothing but going to parties and gossiping about Thomas/Kathryn...everytime I watched, I asked where are all the black people? you literally saw none, not even on the streets.
  11. when half the cast left, I think they (bravo) just had to latch onto something... what is more timely than the underlying generational racism in Charleston. prior to this, I think the only person beyond beige coloring was the Gwynns lady....and I really have no idea of her ethnicity and really never gave it a second thought. so they brought in Leva, the new girl (don't know her name), and seem to have bumped up the owner of Gwynns to a minor castmember. her fiancé even got to show up at the party. I assume they made Kathryn say something untrue about Cam's marriage to dovetail the introduction of Leva to the story. If K wanted to keep her paycheck, I'm sure that was part of the deal. prior to this there was no color. Kathryn's and Thomas' confederate ancestry was praised by Patricia Thomas, and Whitney. Thomas bragged about his father not using $5 bills because of Lincoln. NOBODY SAID A WORD. As long as the polo matches kept playing, everyone was happy. the show should have reflected the true colors of Charleston long ago. Kathryn is being used by everyone (Bravo) and the new castmembers keep this show relevant. K should she repent for what she did, absolutely... but it is not for angry Leva to tell her (and everyone associated) when and where. just 100 miles south young Ahmaud Abery was killed for no reason, now that is something to get very angry about Leva. wouldn't it be great if Kathryn got pregnant and had a couple children with the latest Ravanell? oh the gossip.
  12. leva is the type of person you eventually agree with, just to get her shut up. any apologies she gets are forced and meaningless. she thinks she wins. poor Danny went from being Kathryn's bitch to being leva's. watching them shop together was painful. it is sad, she seems to be on the edge of a mental/physical breakdown and shouldn't be on television.
  13. yes, thank you. she doesn't know Katheryn yet her only screentime is discussing her. she introduced herself at Madison's party.
  14. I think Kathryn Craig and Austen should have just grabbed a platter of shrimp, turned around and jumped back on the boat. that was the worst party, and the group of women waiting for Kathryn was horrible. I guess they had to stay to claim their free engraved beer glass. like a timeshare pitch.
  15. I don't understand what was the big deal about Mike being 30k in debt? that's a Honda Accord. no tragedy, he is working. Natalie doesn't belong there and will make his life miserable if she doesn't adapt.
  16. im in love with my kitchenmaid dishwasher and cascade platinum pods, my dishes and silverware sparkle. I had to wash dry and put away pans dishes every night growing up....my mom refused to use our perfectly good dishwasher. weird childhood issues I have.
  17. are we talking about the dog or mohammed, I guess that could go either way.
  18. mohammed drives a semi cross country. good for him, it's hard work and productive for society. I think the dog won me over.
  19. Natalie has a dishwasher (I saw it to the right of the sink). why is she hand washing everything and leaving it all on the counter? find room in cabinets or get rid of stuff. I don't know if that place needs cleaning, but it certainly needs organization. Rebecca's daughter had eyeshadow that looked like bacterial pinkeye. why on earth would you do that to yourself?
  20. does Natalie have a profession.... or is she just a professional complainer? what did she give up in Ukraine?
  21. Madison, you are so mean. I can't believe I actually feel a little bad for Austen. He's been working so hard picking out his favorite flavors and a cute name for a beer that someone else brews for him. Leva has a beautiful family and a very successful business she is trying to keep going....why is she so obsessed with Kathryn? It's exhausting. Kathryn is a dim bulb and has been raised on the isolated and dilapidated family plantation by a family that keeps the Calhoun name going. her legal last name is Dennis, she (they) use Calhoun as a middle name by choice.... it is what it is. I think she named her kids Calhoun Ravanel? She's not going to renounce it, she embraces it. Her family has used that name as greatly devalued currency for generations, do you think you personally are going to change that? A few seasons ago Whitney and Patricia were impressed by her lineage. move on Leva. you genuinely look crazy. is that what you want?
  22. I would feel stupid saying nawlins I say new orlins but I don't say new orleens I also don't say cali. I get a weird shiver when someone says that.
