S11.E14: Lips Unsealed
RoseAllDay replied to jewel21's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
Does anybody ever know or understand the points Dorit is trying to make? Does Dorit? I’ve worked with people who take 10 million words to say one simple thing and it’s all I can do to not run screaming out of the room. I tried to follow that monologue at the party, but after awhile it was like listening to Charlie Brown’s teacher — “Waa waa, waa waa…waa waa waa…” I’m guessing Dorit is trying to play both sides and is doing it poorly. If she thinks she has to ramble on, trying to sound important, it’s time to go. What has she ever brought to the show other than pissing off Vanderpump over the puppy? Erika was right, at least in Hong Kong — “I say important shit. You say unimportant shit.” I still love that scene. And it always pains me to see all the food that goes to waste because they insist on airing personal gripes at the table. Maybe that’s how they stay so slim — constant fighting. -

Honest to God, I feel my blood pressure rise whenever Erika is on screen. If she got on Tom’s phone and found evidence that he was cheating, she could have sued for divorce and probably have taken him to the cleaners. Her excuse of “I needed more evidence” is more bullshit. Even Kyle picked up on that. She either held all this over him as leverage to keep him paying for her career and lifestyle, or she couldn’t bring herself to leave because she knew she couldn’t live without him. Now that he’s ruined, all these details are coming out, and true financial ruin is possible, she’s an innocent victim. Yeah, right. And Erika, if you’re going to cage Tiago, get a bigger one. I’ll resume watching when I’m not a stroke level. I did kind of like watching Rinna and the girls in the garage, and the continued shade thrown at Scott Disick. Lisa and Harry better watch that — they may end up with a son-in-law out of pure spite. And sadly sigh as she throws the wipe into the trash. I do like the image of her, though, driving around in a Merry Maids car. -
Erika Girardi/Erika Jayne: Let them eat cake
RoseAllDay replied to ryebread's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
Sutton probably got concerned for her “friend” when the matter of a forensic investigation came up at the earlier dinner, and Erika did another “pity me” routine by looking llike a poor, soon-to-be-destitute wretch — which I hope she becomes. That kind of probe would be the last thing Erika’d want, but Sutton then had no way of knowing. This speaks volumes for Sutton’s character, and Erika’s lack thereof. At least this con didn’t work. Sutton has every good reason to tell everybody to keep their distance, and if they don’t see Mrs. Girardi for who/what she really is by now… I may start DVRing those instead of the new episodes. I don’t think these are on Peacock, either. -

I’m not going to get into which fraud is worse — they’re both bad. But the Girardis’ actions should ensure that they never have any kind of media presence ever again. If Bravo rewards these disgusting actions by having her back, I may well be done. And I would think that any competent attorney would strongly advise that she not come back, especially after how she’s run her mouth this season. It would not be in her best interests, which we all know is all she cares about. -
Erika Girardi/Erika Jayne: Let them eat cake
RoseAllDay replied to ryebread's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
The flashbacks they show of Tom call bullshit on this. There was the dinner Erika hosted at her mausoleum where he gassed on about how “rewarding” it is to help people through the law 🤮, and then there was her showing him her Chicago contract before she left for New York. I got the impression that he reviewed it, which would make some sense, even if he was not the attorney of record. Plus, she never alluded to any kind of issue other than the wreck where he first “broke his ankle,” and now escaped with his life after going off a cliff, or some such BS. He was completely lucid in these clips, as he has since she’s been on the show. Besides, the Girardi-Keese mess was going on long before this blew up. This is the usual celebrity dodge of trying to get out of assuming any responsibility or culpability. I don’t doubt he may be in physical decline, but mentally? No. Just too damn convenient.- 5.2k replies

Erika Girardi/Erika Jayne: Let them eat cake
RoseAllDay replied to ryebread's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
True, but did the Guidices victimize innocent people? It was tax evasion with them, correct (don’t watch NJ)? Widows, orphans, and burn victims are maybe a bit too much, even for Bravo. -

RoseAllDay replied to ryebread's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
I really don’t see how Erika can come back to the show after this. The legal shit will still be going full boar and nobody really knows just how bad it may/will get. Not a lawyer, but I can imagine her attorneys du jour will strongly encourage her to keep a low profile. And Bravo won’t want the headache. There was really no way to not feature her this season. Given the circumstances, they couldn’t just edit around her like they did with Below Deck Med’s Creepy Pete — it still would have been a huge distraction. But with these shows now in the can, I think she’ll be gone. (Maybe others here with more knowledge can shed more light. This is JMO.) The reason why nothing positive has been said is because there’s nothing positive to say — obviously. -
S11.E13: Season’s Grillings

Or, she was making a point that now she’s so poor, she can’t even afford a driver 😞. Did you notice the sad look she had when she pulled up? (Leaving when she wants has never been a problem with her before.) I also noticed she was dressed much more conservatively and her makeup was event-appropriate, as opposed to other get-togethers. In fact, she looked quite nice. Maybe by the time that was filmed, she’d been told to tone her image down a notch. -

No, I haven’t, yet…I really should. There is a special place in hell for those who take advantage of other people’s grief, pain, and trust. Both Tom and Erika deserve to spend the rest of their days in grinding poverty, but things never seem to work out that way.- 5.2k replies

Erika Girardi/Erika Jayne: Let them eat cake
RoseAllDay replied to ryebread's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
I don’t doubt she has, either. Taking what is rightfully theirs from burn victims, family members, and orphans can set some people off, especially when the person accused of stealing has lived the high life off of the proceeds — actually flaunted that high life — and is now showing absolutely no concern or remorse for it now, other than by trying to cover her own ass by lying. How many f’s do I give? None. Not one. A washed-up famewhore, at that. Vaya con dios, Jon. You’ll need it. -

Maybe he’s planning to try his hand at yet another remake of “A Star Is Born”? She knows an easy mark when she sees one, apparently. She’ll come out of all this mess just fine. Totally enraging.- 5.2k replies

S11.E13: Season’s Grillings
RoseAllDay replied to jewel21's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
Sutton laid out pretty well everything that is wrong with Erika’s version of events. I don’t blame Sutton for wanting to distance herself from the whole mess right now — you never know what a lawyer might decide to use to drag you into a deposition or other court issue; and yes, as unfair as it may seem, people can and do judge you by the company you keep. As usual, Dorit talks a tough game, then backs down. Thanks, Dorit, for letting Sutton twist in the wind, and thanks, Garcelle, for calling Dorit out on it. Ladies, Erika is no threat to you. Stop folding like a cheap chair in front of her — her days of playground bullying are over. She has been selling you all a big bag o’bullshit this season, and it’s okay to ask questions and get things straight in your own minds. Erika. I admit I took a little bit of glee in watching her roll up to Kyle’s by herself (the last to arrive, as usual). No driver. Oh, the poverty. This was maybe the first time I’ve seen her actually contrite — I was expecting this to be the episode where she blew up at Sutton. I think maybe it’s finally sinking in that the lies are piling up, and it’s best to just STFU. But…I don’t believe that: 1) she found out about all of this in the press like everyone else; 2) Tom has been in sharp mental decline for the past three years (and even if he has, that still doesn’t excuse the past decade(s) of malpractice at Gerardi Keese); or 3) she didn’t know any details about the entertainment LLC. That scam has funded her “career” and jet-set lifestyle for years, and she is just not that stupid or naive to believe otherwise. She just didn’t care that other people were suffering — literally — for her art — until she was forced to. I’m glad that the real victims are finally being at least mentioned. They are at the true core of all of this, and Erika is NOT one of them. She, as we all know, will land on her feet somehow —a little poorer maybe, but people like her always manage to survive. Kyle’s Christmas dinner, or Garcelle’s? No contest — Garcelle’s. Good food, better company. I hope tomorrow’s episode focuses on something else other than Mrs. Girardi, as the previews hint. I think we can all use a break from this thieving grifter for at least one week, even if it’s for only 10 minutes. -
I think Eileen did a pretty mean hair shake, too, IIRC. This was at one of the former Mrs. Girardi’s stage extravaganzas, I think. No wonder Camille was a Club MTV regular back in the day.

Paul and Adrienne could have done a revival of “The Bickersons”. (Look it up…) Paul whining about his broken nose and Adrienne’s lack of sympathy always make me laugh. Edit— That reference was just in the finale recap! LOL!

I am truly enjoying the HELL out of the season one reruns. What great storylines! It got me through the workday. “Dinner Party from Hell” has to be one of the most iconic eps in the history of all the Real Housewives. It used to be that I would DVR it if I saw it was on. Now thanks to Peacock, I can watch it whenever I want, LOL. The season finale is great, too — Kyle and Kim’s fight in the limo with Adrienne refereeing. I think RHOBH is my favorite. On a kind-of related note, I’m reading a book about MTV. I did not know that Camille was a dancer on “Club MTV.”

S11.E12: Circle of Distrust

If she loses everything and has to go back to waitressing that would be good enough for me. It may be a little harder this time around to snag a sugar daddy, though. -
S11.E12: Circle of Distrust

My thoughts are probably not new, so… 1) When Rinna was getting on Garcelle about her question and the intent behind it, I really wished Bravo had included in the flashbacks the scene in Hong Kong when she asked Dorit, “So…were people doing coke in your bathroom?” For every finger you point… 2) The discussion on race was perhaps one of the more honest conversations I’ve seen on the franchises I regularly follow. Saying “I don’t see color,” to me, is basically invalidating the lives and experiences some POC have. I have an African-American coworker, and during the George Floyd shooting and trial, we talked a lot, and she shared a lot of perspectives that I, as a white woman, would never have to consider. Her daughter was racially profiled on an almost nightly basis as she drove home from work, to the point where she would call her mom and keep her on the phone during the traffic stops. Just in case. And I witnessed the profiling first hand when a bunch of us were returning from a meeting at a door that had to be activated by a badge. One person swiped her badge, the rest followed, but my coworker — who had her badge clearly around her neck — was stopped by the cop and was specifically asked to show hers. I stopped to witness this and stared at the cop, but didn’t say anything, nor did she. We both knew by doing so it would most likely escalate the situation. I once told her I was upset to the point of tears over racially-motivated violence. She looked at me and said, “I’m beyond being upset. I’m ANGRY.” Of course she was…this kind of threat has been with her and her adult kids for all their lives. Not seeing color — i.e. not judging based on color — is fine. But if you don’t listen, if you don’t try to learn from the experiences that you were spared from by accident of birth, you are in many ways ignoring the realities they face on a daily basis, which is almost as bad as bias. 3) Erika. Sigh. I will give her the benefit of the doubt that Tom maybe sold her a bill of goods about the LLC…tax benefits, etc., etc. Tom gave her a bunch of papers and she signed because he told her to, and her golden life went on. This is the lesson that everybody needs to learn. Do not trust anybody when it comes to signing documents, articles of incorporation, or in any financial matter without doing your due diligence. Read, and if you don’t understand, ask. I’m not convinced that she had no inkling whatsoever about the origins of the money transferred to the LLC, but as Sutton said, the courts won’t care. She signed off on it; she now owns it. Ignorance is no defense. And when Rinna said she signs things blindly on the basis of Harry’s say-so and that “everyone does it” (paraphrase) — again, just because you love and trust someone, that might not always mean they’re acting in YOUR best interests, and it’s YOU who will be on the hook for whatever happens. Looking forward to next week. -

Not a stupid question. Looking at stuff on the web, it sounds like Girardi Keese was a pretty shady firm, which may explain why it imploded so quickly and declared bankruptcy. For all we know, Tom may have just gotten too greedy. And there are several lawsuits about money pending against the firm — hence, bankruptcy. I’ll try to find some links and post. May take a while. New at this. -
Lisa Vanderpump: Pink is her Favorite Color
RoseAllDay replied to Lisin's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
I thought it was just some random friend or fan. Never would have guessed Ariana. It’s sad to watch early seasons of these shows when they all looked natural. Brandi Glanville is Exhibit A. Bravo ran an early season Wednesday and she was very attractive. Now, she’s hideous. And yes, Pandora is pretty.- 2.1k replies

I DVR the show to watch later, and I’m not 10 minutes in and I think I’m going to have to stop and pick it up later because I’m already over Erika’s bullshit. It may be next Wednesday before I’m done with this episode. Early impressions: Of course she leaves early — of course! Like at just about every other trip she goes on with the women. Arrive late, leave early. And of course she makes a grand exit. Erika did a great job once again of knowing how to play the room, deflecting the heat by throwing it all on Garcelle. Now she has Rinna as her wingman. Speaking of the room, it’s amazing how much things brighten up as soon as she leaves. You can almost feel the weight lift. It’s always that way. If I were part of the group, she would be out of sight out of mind as soon as she walked out the door, and she would not continue to poison my good time. Can’t wait to see Sutton connect more dots. I’ll say again what I said last week. Nobody is looking to “take Erika down”. They can’t. But when the stories keep growing like Pinocchio’s nose, questions will be asked, and if Erika doesn’t like it, well, she probably should have taken this season off. EDIT: Damn… now I want Ruth Chris. -

Erika Girardi/Erika Jayne: Let them eat cake

I did — I found her refreshing, in a weird way, especially how she made the other women clutch their pearls at times, and because of her outrageous stage act that passed for talent. But her quick temper and iciness made me look twice. I think PK was on to something by calling her out at Vanderpump’s party — with each passing season she’s become more unlikeable because of her high-horse attitude. She’s not a nice person, in more ways than one.- 5.2k replies
