  1. I also think they should lay out some ground rules of looks they want -- is the whole collection supposed to be marketable to the masses? A mixture of aspiring designs and marketable? It doesn't seem fair to have one designer's looks judged for not being easily reproduced if that's not the ground rule. Also, I did a rewatch b/c I missed a lot doing chores while it was on. I was surprised how much boobie we got to see w/o them being edited out (at least on my video on demand).
  2. I'm another one that loved Coral's looks. I actually thought if it were based on her runway alone, she should have won. I liked most of Shantall's designs during the season and wasn't surprised she won but I didn't like the collection she put out. I didn't see luxe in it at all. Looked like Elvis pants with a boxy blazer. I didn't see her collection selling and imagined it being all dirty in my local Ross store hanging from a rack. Chastity's collection really seemed like the same stuff we've seen her do all season. I totally agree -- her looks were what Cher would wear. I didn't see Beyonce in it at all. I actually thought Kristina's print was really beautiful. I wasn't a fan of her work but I thought it was interesting. Also, I agree Chastity's finance is freaking gorgeous as is Shantall's husband! And like others, i'm tired of the "journey" tearful stories, and I'm also tired of hearing the "empowering" designs trope.
  3. Tacky and dated is brilliantly put. I don't know how she made it this far other than the PR powers that be wanted all female final four. I don't really think we've seen anything original from her.
  4. I will say one of the only things I like about the way they are treating the character is that her size is not a detriment to her attractiveness to other men. I think Chrissy is beautiful, but we all know the men that are not attractive in the slightest bit but think they should be with a supermodel.
  5. Trust me -- it wasn't even 3-4 glasses of wine. The mini bottles are much smaller than a normal glass of wine you'd get at a restaurant. I doubt she was even drunk if she had 3 of the small bottles on the plane (although airport bar is probably the start of drinking).
  6. Yeah, the thing to have said would be: "Wait, now you want to go slow, but having sex with me several times isn't too fast?" I'm confused why that wasn't her go to?
  7. Those little airplane bottles of wine are much smaller than what you'd get if you sat down to eat at a restaurant/bar. Three of those would probably be like 1 1/2 glasses of wine is you're at a restaurant, so to me, that wasn't an unreasonable amount in a 3 to 4 hour setting when you're on your honeymoon and aren't driving. That said, if the wine hit her hard and that's the reason she was being obnoxious, that's a different thing. However, she's obnoxious sober so I doubt that is the reason but the excuse for why she was being obnoxious.
  8. Right -- he probably operates plant machinery, not jumps off the back of a garbage truck. He would've had to be at least certified.
  9. Right -- although I believe Alyssa is 100% being real! I wouldn't be surprised if Noi was encouraged by production "tell him you''re falling in love with him" right after she said that during the confessional.
  10. According to her, the sex was that day wasn't it? I could understand feeling hurt and confused. That said, the annoyance factor with her is high. I do wonder if it was producer manipulation with the "take things slower" as both MTS and Steven conveniently used those words. Although like Noi, she was throwing around the love word on camera, although apparently she didn't say it directly to him. Maybe both of them are doing the "never felt this way before" stuff to both and that freaked them out. I mean, even if I did sign up for this show I'd be freaked out hearing someone act as though they are in love, feel love after 3 days.
  11. I always love when the spouse production crew do the romantic rose petals on the bed and the spouse acts like it was all their stranger mate.
  12. Yeah, I am just listening to the Afterparty story. That's definitely much better, still gross, but better.
  13. Right -- I was about to say the same thing. He apparently had sex with her -- wasn't going too fast then -- after having to clean up her messes already. I did understand her confusion there, as much as she annoys the shit out of me. I did wonder if both Mark and Steve got the memo from producers to do the "slow down" routine. Although both Linsday and Noi were talking love waaaaaaaay too quick.
  14. Guarantee you that Alyssa's mom has had a lifetime with her saying "no" and acting appropriately as a mom until Alyssa pouts, stomps her feet, and cries and then mom says "yes" to whatever she's upset about and coddles her. Her behavior didn't happen in a vaccuum.
  15. For the life of me, I'm wondering what exactly Katina is falling in love with? Were the men in here life so bad, that he stands out? I don't see charm. Or looks. I guess the body is okay. Maybe he's a really intelligent guy but I haven't really heard anything that strikes me one way or the other. I can appreciate the way he handled the LInsday sitch after she poked and prodded him. But that's about it. I feel like she is in love with his words -- the "God put us here." "I'm going to love you like no one else..'" But I would not ever be able to trust someone who is proud of banging a mom and daughter at the same time and who is ready for a threesome and bringing that all up day 3.
  16. Um, white people should keep that word out of their mouths. Period.
  17. I really enjoyed this episode. One of their better ones. The speed dates were hilarious!
  18. Aw, thank you so much. And I'm so sorry about your father and how that has impacted you. It's tough. Life is wonderful but for sure a series of heartaches too!
  19. That he died not only right before Christmas (his funeral was a week before Christmas), but right before her birthday (Jan 3). So my daughter will live the rest of her life mourning her father's loss that occurred very close to major days where you are supposed to be surrounded by family. Did my response help you understand your rather pedantic question in response to my daughter's personal tragedy, @shermie? Understand your point about the unexpected death and things left unsaid. But a death is a death esp when you are in your teens. But it's important not to treat the person who died as if they were the most perfect human being that no one could ever possibly live up to.
  20. Adding on to my last comment, I don't expect total realism from a show. But I feel like the show would've been a lot better if in addition to the good, the children, Rebecca, Miguel all remember the dad who struggled with alcohol, had a jealous streak that nearly ruined his marriage and showed more than just what, one or two episodes? I mean, he kicked alcohol pretty easily. Too easily IMO. And I would've liked to have seen a real couple in Jack and Rebecca where they had more than just a few episodes of strife. I mean, what the fuck -- is there no anger that he pretty much made all the important shots in life and that she had to go along with? From adding another child after she just lost a baby in childbirth to surprising her with the family home purchase? The romantic gesture shit that has real life consequences? I mean, I realize of course that there would be no big 3 w/o him pressuring Rebecca to adopt Randall (and let's not forget how unrealistic that super quick adoption was), but how about an episode where Rebecca is angry at Jack for coercing her into some major decisions when she was at her most vulnerable? Maybe it's me but I don't want the love story to end all love stories. I want actual characters and relationships that have some semblance to real life. And characters who can live life w/o doing unrealistic big gestures. But of course, I'll still watch this show and be disappointed when it's done. :)
  21. My husband died at 52 (cancer) and my daughter was 14 going on 15. It was very tragic for her to lose her dad right before Christmas and right before her birthday. While she misses him, and it's impacted her life tremendously, both of us have not canonized her dad. He was a great dad, a great husband too. We don't walk around talking about him like he was Jesus and "What would your dad have done?" We fondly remember the person he was -- the total person who was imperfect in life and imperfect in death. I recognize that some people do lionize the dead, there are some of us that go through tragic circumstances and remember the complete person -- esp. when the death isn't fresh and you've had time to process it all.
  22. I love Coco! She has such unique features that may not be the typical standard model beauty but to me make her so fascinating. Loved what she brought to the show this week. I wish Bones had stayed. Chasity's design was horrific. I haven't liked much of what she's put out. It tends to look cheap to me.
  23. Um, she knew that Randall was searching for bio dad but didn't ever mention that she knew who he was and had chased him down when the kids were a baby. She hid that from not only Randall, but also Jack. Of course, it was forgiven all too quickly. Then there's Becca being viewed as the bitch mom by her daughter and episodes where it appeared that young Kate was jealous of her own mother for apparently being skinny and pretty.
  24. RIGHT. That's absolutely my issue with this show. I also get annoyed by this magical love story between Jack and Rebecca. Seems like they only had a few blips and were hopelessly in love until the end. I don't need a fairy tale romance; I'd like to see more realism about them as a couple beyond what, an episode where he had a jealous streak b/c she wanted to tour with some band, and then the drinking where he was forced to leave to get help.
