  1. I don't think Cindy will be there tomorrow. Just heard the news her mother-in-law Roberta passed away at 108 .

It would be nice if she could make it, and perhaps talk some sense into Sara. I just can't follow her 'logic' sometimes - today was definitely one of those days.

  2. I know for sure I will be FF'ing Mark Cuban's interview on Friday. Don't like him, and I don't need to hear anything he says.

Looking forward to Tuesday's show. I wonder if they will let Cindy know what a bully her daughter is ?  LOL!

The very BEST part of the schedule for this week coming up ? You guessed it - VIEW YOUR DEAL ! I can not wait to find out where I can buy the very best slipper-socks, sunglasses, and jars of organic honey made in trees by Keebler elves. So looking forward to this segment on Monday !

Probably the best birthday show Joy's had in several years--with McCain off. That was the best present ever, lol.

McCain's birthday is October 23. I wonder if she will be back by then ? I say yes - she will not want to miss out on recognition for her birthday.

(Sunny's is October 20, and Whoopi is November 13).

That's a lot of Scorpios for the show (Sunny is on the cusp of Libra / Scorpio). Joy is Libra, Sara is Virgo and Ana is Capricorn - for those keeping score at home. LOL !

Did Nancy just talk about Trump’s “erotic behavior”?

I spit out my coffee when she said that. Then I rewound a few seconds, played it again, and spit my coffee out once more. I hope she meant 'erratic'.

As for Halloween, a friend of mine is working at 'Spirit of Halloween' since August, when the pop-up store opened in the strip mall (she's been out of work due to COVID). According to their manager, the whole company is down by 75% from last year for the past two months. I guess they will be featured on 'The View' pretty soon in 'View Your Deal' ?  LOL They will be pushing 'half price costumes' and 'half price decorations'.

Even though I was reminded of you know who too, in Whoops' defense, she meant wiping down packaged candy, not the actual candy. I don't see her telling anyone to ingest Lysol.

Yes, she meant wiping the outside of the wrapped candy with Lysol - you should never put Lysol or any other disinfectant or detergent near food, wrapped or unwrapped.

I mean didn't Whoopi realize she sounded as crazy as Y-K-W with her recommendation ? They talk about it all the time, so she should be aware of how ridiculous she sounded today.

Glad they had a VYD today! I've had sleepless nights wondering where I can buy the perfect all-in-one frying pan that can do everything from frying an egg to baking a wedding cake. My 2020 just got better !

*For those keeping score, I still didn't get my Wolferman's from last week's VYD. It was supposed to be delivered this past Friday. I will continue to update...

  7. I'm waiting for Lysol to do yet another press release saying they do not recommend parents spray Lysol on Halloween candy. Between "You Know Who" and Whoopi,  I guess this is going to be a semi-annual event for Lysol.

5 p.m. episodes, first one new, second one rerun-

    First (New)-

The Reason This Country is in Trouble!-Plaintiff suing the girlfriend of his wife's nephew for unpaid rent, and damages.   Plaintiff and wife's nephew signed a co-tenancy lease on an apartment.   Tenants were two children, defendant woman, and boyfriend.    Defendants didn't pay the last four months rent.      Defendant is a former foster, and was getting some stipend from the state, which ended.    Defendant is SSMOF (Sainted Single Mother of Four).    Defendant has three of her four children living with her, and her boyfriend, but two kids live full time with defendant woman.     Plaintiff was ruled against, and plaintiff claims he paid the landlord $9010, principal and attorney fees were about a $1,000.

Defendant woman claims boyfriend sold a car, and paid the security deposit.    Defendant woman is 22 and has four kids, defendant boyfriend has three kids with defendant, and he's 42.    Defendant boyfriend claims he was on the lease, but didn't live there full time.   Defendant boyfriend refuses to say what bills or support he supplies for his girl friend, their three kids, etc.

I wish Officer Byrd would punch out loser defendant witness/boyfriend.   Defendant boyfriend refuses to say where he lives when he's not at defendant girlfriend's place.   At last JJ has the boyfriend's mike cut off.

Defendant is on welfare (that's why boyfriend claims he doesn't live there), and only has TREAD for former foster kids.

JJ tells the plaintiff to sue defendant witness.

    $2400 for plaintiff.

Tweener's Missing Diamond Earring!-Plaintiff (56)suing defendant for value of a diamond earring, and he lives with 38 year old former daughter-in-law of defendant.  Plaintiff gave two earrings to girlfriend, and one to girlfriend's 12 year old son.    Plaintiff noticed son's earring was missing, and he says grandmother took the earring, and threw the earring away.

JJ explains to plaintiff that girlfriend (former daughter in law of defendant)  has standing to sue on behalf of her son, for the earring, so she needs to sue her mother, the child's grandmother/defendant.

Defendant says grandson came to visit, and was complaining about the earring hurting.   Grandmother says the earring was accidentally trashed.     Earrings purchased by plaintiff were far superior to replacement earrings purchased by defendant /  grandmother.

Plaintiff's witness will have to sue defendant.

    Case dismissed.

(They just had the memorial screen for Jerry Bishop, the late announcer for the show).

I may be in the minority, but I thought in the first case, defendant Brian Black was very handsome. He needed to lose about 10-15 pounds, but he's definitely one of the infamous 'bad boy hunks' of Judge Judy.

Please make Judge Judy stop with the phony cackling she does at the plaintiffs. It's really irritating. Nothing is as funny as she tries to make it with that hideous laugh of hers.

I'm still not use to Judge Judy's RBG hairstyle - and it's been almost 2 years.

Helen Reddy died, did they even mention that?

Yes, they did - that's how I found out!  When I Googled Helen Reddy's death, I found out singer/ songwriter Mac Davis died the next day. Davis was very popular in the 70s, and wrote many hits for his friend Elvis Presley. However, they didn't mention him. Hmmmmmm.

Ooh, a commercial disguised as a segment.  Getting sneaky, show, getting sneaky.

I noticed this week they're ending each show with an 'infomercial'. They got rid of the 'struggling small business that's about to close their doors for good' segments they ran during the Spring and Summer, and replaced it with these infomercials ?

  11. Well that wasn't an interesting show today...

AS I said last week, these interview segments go on too long. As much as I like Schumer, turning the majority of the show over to his interview was way too long. The guest tends to repeat themselves, to get their talking points across. It's too much, too boring.

  12. OK - I DID IT!

I actually bought something from VIEW YOUR DEAL. I bought the Wolferman's English muffins, because I used to buy these all the time for Christmas gifts (their breakfast box is the best gift) and treat myself from time to time, but not too often (they're fattening and expensive).  The company ended up going out of business a while ago (I think it was 2008-09, at the time of the recession) and I was surprised to see they were back under new owners a few years ago. So now I'm trying them again at 'half off'.

I have to say, I had to switch browsers to do so. The site was taking forever to load on Chrome, so I switched to Firefox and had no problems. Hopefully they will be here without delay, and I will report back.

  13. What a Monday this was. It seemed lijke they had so much to talk about (Trump taxes, the SC pick, Ted Cruz) yet said so little.

For the record, can someone tell Joy that whenever she says something and ends with "Okay?" and "Hullo!" she's really showing her age. Those were catch phrases in the 80s and 90s. No one under 75 still  ends with those.

    Back to the classroom:

Meghan is still on suspension, because Miss Whoopi didn't have a talk with Mother McCain yet about her daughter's disruptive behavior.

Whoopi did bring in a new punching bag for the other students - Ted Cruz - and punch they did. Except Sara, who didn't know what she was punching or why. I think Sara should move to 'The Talk' and fill Marie Osmond's empty chair. She's better suited for 'Kardashian' talk.

For his part, the Cruz punching bag made all the right dodges and diversions - he had no intention of playing along. Much to the dismay of the women, who threw their best punches but didn't really land any.

Then it was time for 'Show and Tell', because after Ted Cruz talks about how dismal the economy is and the millions of people out of work, they should always point their viewers to more expensive crap they can't afford, nor do they need or want. Sara and the Monday student Greta put on their VYD cheerleader uniforms, and cheered the products on, 'ooohing and aaahing' every item as though they just won the lottery.

And that was Monday's show. The rest of the week looks less promising.

  14. Thanks fellow Viewers ! This is driving me crazy. I thought it was Gov Hogan for some reason, but I guess not. It was definitely someone she seemed rather adverse to having on the show. I'm positive it was in July (but maybe June??). Falltime, I'm glad this sounds familiar to you - I thought I was imagining things.

Was there anyone from FOX on the show this summer, or someone who worked for or supported Trump ?

  15. WOW! Friday's show was a slow drag to the finish line, after a depressing week.

I think the producers need to realize that just because someone is 'in the news' it doesn't make for an interesting interview. We learned that a few times this week with 'headliners', and again with Olivia Troye yesterday. I think she had said all she had to say in the past  week, and there's noting new to share at this point. She offered nothing new, and certainly nothing of interest. I ended up FF.

As we get closer to the election, I'm expecting the show to get better and more interesting each day. Maybe next week will get the show on the right track, because God knows the past three weeks have been a waste (IMO).

  16. Does anyone recall an interview this summer (I think it was in July) where the ladies were a bit hostile to the guest, especially Sunny and she made a snide remark to the guest that they had met many times before ?

I think the guest said something like "It's nice to meet you "

And she responded along the lines of, "I need to correct you - we have met many times before but you don't remember"...something like that ?

I think the guest was the governor of Maryland, but not positive.

Also, does anyone have the exact exchange between the two of them? I think it was very professional the way she handled it.

  17. Talk about another depressing show!  2 in one week is 2 too many.

It started off well enough with Meghan missing today due to 'suspension' for her behavior this week.  Miss Whoopie gave her the suspension papers yesterday, and she can't return until Whoopi has a talk with her Mother. Let's hope that doesn't happen until December.

Sara looks like she went into Meghan's locker while she's out, and raided her cosmetics. Someone needs to teach these two 'less is more' when it comes to makeup, glitter and gloss.  And then she opened her mouth, along with the other students as the class ran amok again. Conversations everywhere, pregnant pauses, and more of a mash-up.

If ever there was a day this show should have been pre-empted, this was definitely the day.

The rumors going around before Sara left was that Megan was bullying Sara and didn't think she belonged on a show with such hard hitting political punditry. So when Sarah got the opportunity to leave, she took it. While it was also about hosting her own show, there was a good peppering of getting the fuck away from Megan.

If you go back to the articles this summer on Sara's return, one in-depth article mentioned that Sara has a general contract with ABC, unlike the other co-hosts. Meaning, Sara can be moved around from show to show, at ABC's discretion - and Sara has no say. She had told one reporter that she never wanted to leave 'The View' a few years ago, but ABC yanked her from the show and put her in 'GMA 3' - even though it wasn't her choice to go. (And before that, she worked for GMA, until ABC pulled her from there and put her on 'The View' - again, not her choice).

The other co-hosts have a specified contract with ABC, and they were hired solely for 'The View'. So ABC can't yank one of them from the show and put them in 'GMA' or 'GMA 3' or any other talk show they develop, unless they consent to that. (I don't know if this applies to Ana, though).

If I'm not mistaken Paula Farris was / is also under the same type of contract as Sara - and they can bounce her around wherever she is needed.

  19. WOW!

Meghan definitely avoided her "Mommie Dearest's" endorsement today, even though it's the big headliner this morning. This only serves as a reminder that Meghan and Cindy are not particularly close, which is more than evident on this show.

It's not like this was a big surprise - I knew on Super Tuesday they'd be backing him in November. I'm glad Joy brought it up, but there must've been hell to pay after the show. I wish they talked about this more, as this was rather news worthy.

As far as the photos from Trump's rally - did anyone notice the crowd was bigger than his inauguration crowd?

The interview with 'Captain Mark Kelly' became boring rather quickly. It dragged on and on for far too long. I learned nothing new about him as a candidate, or what he brings to the table. He just appeared to be a 'likeable' guy, but as Meghan likes to say 'no meat and potatoes'.

The interview with Desus and Mero was a complete waste of time for me. A few minutes in, and it was time for me to hit 'delete' from my DVR.

  20. Speaking of last Thursday's episode of 'Cuties' (which I watched the discussion again on my DVR), I was a bit surprised at Sunny's reaction to the movie. I'm sure we all recall when she told the audience a few years ago how 'grown up' her teenage son looked in his bathing suit when they went shopping for a new one.  She admired what a 'sexy young man' he was becoming, at the age of 15 or 16.  She got a lot of well-deserved critical feedback on social media for those comments, but never bothered to apologize or defend them. Now she's upset over 'Cuties' ?  SMH
