Seeing that pic of Sunny giving birth, with Manny right there beside her, makes me think I really don't believe that she wears make-up to bed to ensure that he never sees what she looks like.

Those photos reaffirms the fact that some photos need to be kept private, and not published in a book or shown on television. Just my opinion...

  2. You're Not Charming, You're a Slug! - Sorry, but Alberto Alberty was more than charming - he was one sexy dude. No wonder the plaintiff fell for him.

Pizza, Cameras, and a Surprise Trip - The plaintiff was stuck on the following two words, which she repeated over and over again in her testimony:  'basically' and 'utilize'.  (She threw 'intercourse' to make her dull case more interesting, and failed. ) I was waiting for JJ to snap 'Stop using the word 'basically' !'

For the record, this Season 25 is a dud. They are using all the shows taped in January / February /early March  (before the pandemic shut down America on March 13)  that they should have aired in April, May, and June - and decided to keep them for the new 'Season 25'.  The audience is in the studio, no one has masks, and the announcer is still Jerry Bishop (who died on April 21, at the age of 84).

On the other hand, The People's Court has Judge Marilyn quarantined in her Florida home, conducting the trials via ZOOM (or something similar) with the litigants on TV screens as well - all set up in the empty courtroom. How long before they switch to that format with Judge Judy ?

  3. WOW! Another crazy classroom today!

Ms. Whoopi , the teacher, is probably rethinking her schedule these days. Maybe she can renegotiate her contract and take Monday through Thursday off, and just host Fridays while MeAgain is still there ? Whoopi is now certain the instigator in the class is MeAgain, and damn if she's not going to cut MeAgain down when she becomes unruly. She'll keep throwing the class out to recess every time MeAgain 'acts out' in class. Picking on poor little Sara (while the other two sit this one out) ? No way, MeAgain - off to a commercial.

When they came back from recess, it was time to focus on Sunny, the smartest girl in the class. At almost 52 years of age, Sunny is under the impression that her life is one to inspire others - and has written a memoir rattling all the skeletons in her own closet, hoping her book will catch some buzz (could the publisher release it as a worst time, as 'tell all books' about The Trumps are all the RAGE right now - pun intended?)  According to her classmates, they all read her book this past weekend, and tried way too hard to convince us that her life 'amazing', and Sunny's writing the book 'brave'. Sunny had an ear to ear grin on her face as each of her classmates kissed her rump.  No studio audience to throw her book at, no book tour to sell her books, and as far as I can see : no other interviews on her dance card. It's going to be a tough sell, and I predict a huge loss for the publisher. By the way - has Sunny been visiting the Macy's make-up counter with MeAgain before class ? She looks like she's ready to take the stage under spotlights on Broadway.

Next up was Chelsea Clinton, and MeAgain made America choke on their beverage of choice when she claimed she's never talked about her pregnancy on the show, and keeping her pregnancy private.  SAY WHAAAAT?  I feel like we've known about her pregnancy since the moment of conception, and she has reminded us every single day.  Private???

Up next is show and tell - Sara is in the spotlight, and she's going to hawk some cosmetics from their sponsor Olay to the audience with the help of some big-wig beauty director at 'Good Housekeeping'. This, on top of all the cosmetics Adam Glassman from "Oprah Magazine" hawked yesterday on the show - so viewers can have their own 'make-up challenge' and see what they like best, as they go broke. Goes with the territory , as this show is slowly turning into a QVC infomercial.

    ONWARD - to tomorrow's show.

  4. Oy vey, what a show today !

This should have been a tribute to RBG, honoring her legacy. Instead we got chaos in the classroom!

It started off with the cheesy music, and the unflattering B&W photos of RBG which made her look like a ghost. I thought they were kicking off a Halloween episode early.

Joy, Sara, Sunny all paid their respects and then MeAgain tells the teacher they should break for recess, because she has ' a lot' to say. At least she warned them - so they were prepared.

And did she have a lot to say ! A lot of nothing of interest, but she went on and on and on. She got all her 'meat and potatoes' out of her mouth (I guess the chickens have finished roosting and flew away from home?), managed to start a fight with the prettiest girl in the class, who I thought was going to cry from MeAgain's unnecessary attack on a nominee's Catholicism of all things.

Well, one recess break wasn't enough - the teacher had to stop everything and tell everyone to take another recess break hoping they'd cool off!

Then came the guest teacher of the day - Neil deGrasse Tyson, who I was hoping would've told MeAgain that he has a special telescope that can see the Heavens, and her daddy is very upset with her.

At the end of the day, they had show and tell. As we all suffered through the lifeless Adam Glassman telling us why we need to spend money no one has on more handbags, eyeglasses, candles and cosmetics - because the ones he sold us two months ago just wasn't enough to make ABC happy - viewers wonder what address they should have the crap shipped to, since who knows where they'll be living once they get evicted?

Well, the kick off to week 3 came to a close. I think every viewer was ready to take lunch, all having a hankering for 'meat and potatoes'.

  5. I can't wait for MeAgain to attack Mark Kelly, and remind him it's her father's seat he would be trying to fill, and no one can fill her father's seat no matter how they try, and don't forget - she knows more about Arizona politics than he ever will...and then an exhausted Whoopi will break for commercial.

Or she will be off the show on Wednesday.

As for Chelsea, she will slip in that they are both 'first daughters' from the White House, even though MeAgain is not. But she will try to slip it in anyway, pretending that her father won two terms in the White House, and dare someone to correct her.

Or she will be off the show Tuesday, too.

  6. Well that was a 'watercooler' moment, though 'watercoolers' have been replaced by Twitter...

The fact is that KK was there as a 'campaign stop', not to be interviewed. At the end, when Joy asked her about COVID 19, she decided to take a jab at Joy and mention the 'blackface' which wasn't relevant to the question at all.  She couldn't answer the question.

Me thinks she is auditioning for FOX News, and someone tipped her off to go after Joy. I'm sure she's been offered a talk show at FOX this weekend.

She's there for her legal expertise and intelligence, not to be a hand model.

I don't think anyone has told her that for the past 20 years she's been part of the show. She's very vain about her appearance and her looks - that's more than obvious. At 59, she's been trying too hard to look the same age as her college-age daughters.

Judge Marilyn lives in Florida, a COVID hotspot and would have to travel to New York, where things are under pretty good control. Under NY law, she would have to quarantine in order to shoot in the court room. So, Zoom it is for the foreseeable future. I don't know where Judge Mathis lives or where the show is shot, but I'm sure quarantine restrictions play a big role in deciding how to bring these shows back.

TPC used to film in NYC, but it hasn't for years - it has moved to a newer media center in CT ('Judge Jerry' is filmed in the same complex, in his own studio). I believe Milian has a home near Greenwich, CT if I remember correctly.  Many celebs have moved out of NY and into CT over the past 50 years or so - its close enough to NY but taxes and cost of living are not as expensive (still very pricey, though, for the average American).

Judge Milian looks like she had a rough summer quarantining, and no longer has access to her studio hairdressers and make-up artists. she can't look 20 years younger on TV when she's left to her own devices. (Her hair looked better reddish/blond than her natural dark brown, her makeup needs work, her nails need manicuring). Not a big fan of her talking to her (handsome, sexy) husband after the case - sort of trying to copy 'Hot Bench' when the judges discuss the verdict. Totally unnecessary.

Any reason why that idiot is still standing in the 'hallway' when no one is there to meet with him ? That could be eliminated. So can Harvey - there's no reason for him to be there taking questions. Doug doesn't need to be there either talking to TV monitors (but he has a nice butt so I don't mind seeing him walk back and forth).  Can't he 'swear the litigants in' from his home remotely ?

As for the new format - I'm still adjusting.  It doesn't seem right with litigants 'zooming it in'. If this proves successful, and cost effective, will there be any need to change formats back to the way it was pre-Covid? Or will the show (and other shows) stick with 'zoom' meetings /  interviews ? It's going to take some getting used to.

Whoopie checked out years ago even when Baba Wawa was there.  I used to enjoy their weird dynamic, Barbara used to always let Whoopie know that she was the alpha female and she had to watch out...lol

I think Whoopi got her mojo back in the past few years once Trump became President. She was more on 'her game' at the table, and had interesting views to contribute. She had control of the conversations, and had quite a few moments in the spotlight (Judge Jeanine for starters).

Since doing this circus remotely from home, it's not the same. She's lost total control as moderator, and she knows it . It's a free-for-all now, and it's become out of control. Although, she was lauded for what she did yesterday with MeAgain.

  10. I DVR the show each day.  Eight days into the new season, and here's what I learned:

I FF whenever Sara is on camera. She offers absolutely nothing at all to these political conversations. Nothing.  She belongs on the vapid 'The Talk' and discuss Hollywood gossip. Not on this show, discussing serious topics and political topics. She's in way over her head.

We need a 'canned laugh track' from the 60s and 70s sitcoms, when MeAgain is on camera. Just her make-up alone deserves a laugh track. And whose bright idea was it to dress her in animal print today ?  She's a good example of 'when you don't look into the mirror before you leavethe house'...

Sunny is just the opposite. She used to be so beautiful, but now she looks frumpy. Something is going on with her brows, and her makeup is too dark. Her clothes don't look too cheerful, either.

Joy has become bitter and confrontational - with everyone, it seems. I get she's angry, and is experiencing 'quarantine fatigue'. But take it out on others - not the cohosts, which transfers to the audience. Call the White House, and vent to Trump.

Whoopi has checked out of her hosting duties months ago. You can tell she's not a fan of trying to bring order to this circus, with everyone at home.  Just send her the paycheck, and she will be happy.

Also it didn't go with her outfit. That color and type of eye shadow is not supposed to be worn with a blazer.  That eye shadow is not meant to be worn in professional environments.  Unless your professional environment is bartender at a dance club.

That color and type of eye shadow shouldn't be worn at all !

Another bad school day on 'The View' and all four students should be sent to detention after the show.

  12. Candace Cameron Bure - one of the strangest choices to join the table - talked with FOX News recently, and said she'd rather 'share Jesus with people then return to THE VIEW'.  She claims she didn't reapply for the job this season, as they were looking to replace Abby for the fifth chair.

“I just don’t publicly want to talk about politics,” Bure explained. “Not because I don’t believe that my viewpoints and opinions are important but I would much rather share Jesus with people. That’s really my passion.”

She continued, “I don’t want to get into the political debate because it just is about division and separation. And I want to learn. I want to be [part of] a conversation about how to build a bridge.”

Candace Cameron Bure says she’d rather ‘share Jesus with people’ than return to ‘The View’

  13. MeAgain will have a chance to tell each author she doesn't like their book for whatever reason.

Then she will tell them the last good book she read was written by her father - who passed away 2 years ago, and it's still painful for her to talk about, but talk about it she does as often as she can.

BTW, did each guest know she's pregnant ?

Oh, I watched that last week -- it is really good.  Billy Zabka is the star for me.  First season was better than the second but overall, highly enjoyable.

Thank You - I think Sunny said the first was better, too. Can't wait to start it - looking for something good.

  15. Well, this was an interesting 'first week' of school, don't you think ?

It's Friday, and the teacher has had enough by Thursday - she's taking Fridays off again. So she puts the toughest kid in the class behind the teacher's desk:

Joy. She's running the classroom today, so MeAgain best watch her snippy lip gloss. For the most part, she keeps MeAgain in her place. However...

MeAgain won't welcome the returning student, Ana,  back to class. The others welcome her rather warmly, but MeAgain gives her a forced smirk at best. The tension between these two is palpable through our televisions. The new principal comes in - Mr. Kasich - and MeAgain wants him to know she's the star of the school, with her chickens which have come home to roost. She has ' a platform' for her run as class president - and no one gives a shit. Especially Kasich. He shoots her right in her ego, and hits the bullseye.

For her part, Ana ignores MeAgain and is happy to be back in the classroom. She should be here every Friday, and is 'homeschooled' the other four days. She makes her quips, she makes her comments, and for the most part she's flying under the radar - for now.

Sara is still the prettiest girl in the classroom who wants to be liked, and wants to win friends over to her side. Problem is that Sara likes to play 'both ends against the middle',  which is what she's been doing all week - and I don't think the other girls are going to like that.  They're on to her.

And then there's Sunny. She knows she doesn't belong in this class - she's too smart. She's Varsity, not JV.  But she  is stuck with the JV students for now. She's going to have fun popping MeAgain's balloon every chance she gets.

They all deserve a weekend break.

BTW - Does anyone recall what the Netflix series Whoopi and Sunny were hyping earlier this week ? I want to start watching this, but can't remember the title - much appreciated if you can give me the answer !

    SWW is a nervous wreck.

    I think it's because it's a live interview.

On Rachel Maddow, I'm pretty positive it was pre-taped (she's been pre-taping many interviews with the authors who have been on her show - including Mary Trump and last night with Michael Cohen) so they can re-take questions and answers, and edit what doesn't work.

Being live on this show was different for her.

BTW - MM learned a new phrase today, which she repeated a few times in different conversations:  "The chickens have come home to roost".  How many chickens are there ?

I thought she was going to start repeating 'Reading the tea leaves', but thank Heavens, she only said that once when she mentioned Biden leading in the polls.

  17. I guess what the producers wanted out of their season 24 kick-off was for fireworks, and that's what they got with SHS and the ladies. It's been picked up by many news outlets - and I'm guessing that's one way to bring in the ratings.

Sara Haynes - Yawn. All she did today was make me miss Abby even more. This show is too 'over her head' when it comes to politics. She's better talking fluff - like she did at GMA3. Let her talk about sunglasses, suntan lotion, making lemonade with her kids - but don't let her talk about anything political. It's way over her head.

MeAgain - What the hell was going on with her lips? It was so distracting with the lip fuller and the gloss. I was expecting her to be more furious today with the comments by Trump this weekend, but she was rather laid back. Maybe she had a talking to ?

Joy - I don't think one month was enough for her. She needs the season off. Seemed like she didn't know who to fire her anger off to today.

Whoopi - I actually felt for her today. She was run over by everyone else who wouldn't shut up, and she was exasperated by the end of the show. I'm sure heads rolled after the show.

Sunny - I expected more from her today, too. She seemed like something was distracting her, and her attention wasn't all there.

Overall, it looked like the show itself worked out the technical kinks they suffered through from March - July, but they still haven't resolved the 'talking over'. That's easier to control at the table, not easy to control via Zoom.

    When did Gretchen guest host?

A couple of seasons ago, when she released her memoir and her lawsuit against Ailes was settled. I think it was twice that season  -  the season Sara left (2018?). She got along fine with McCain, as they both knew each other at FOX, and she was engaging with the others. I really liked her. I was hoping they would give the seat to her permanently, but they chose Huntsman.

I have to say, the couple of times Gretchen Carlson guest hosted, I really liked her a lot. I kind of wished they added her instead of Sara, as Carlson seemed more engaging and she'd be another conservative voice.   Sara comes off as a bit too vanilla milkshake for me.

I started this thread, and first titled it 'Season 24 - updates' then changed it to 'Sara's Back' since that is the only update / news in the media now, with the show just a few weeks away from returning live. I say feel free to talk about any upcoming changes / updates, but I don't think there will be any - other than Sara returning.
