    5 p.m. episodes both new-

    First (New)-

Scorned Lovers Gang Up on Cheating Boyfriend?!-Plaintiff suing ex-boyfriend over his use of her credit cards for a business defendant was starting.   Defendant is living with Baby Mama #2, has another kid (11) with another Baby Mama.     Defendant has been living with Baby Mama #2 for 2 years, but has been dating plaintiff for a long time.    In last September defendant moved into the plaintiff's apartment, and lived there full time.   Then plaintiff was contacted by one of the other girlfriends (mother of 2 year old, Baby Mama #2).     Plaintiff and baby mama #2 met in person.

Defendant claims he wasn't ever living with plaintiff, just Baby Mama #2.   He also denies buying anything for himself with plaintiff's credit card.  Plaintiff paid $3100 for defendant's insurance, but defendant claims he didn't ask her to.

Plaintiff will get nothing, money wasn't a loan.

I'll state the obvious:  Defendant was damn cute and sexy !

  2. WOW! Sara Fagen has THE most annoying screechy voice on television this morning. Just what's not needed on a high anxiety day. I'll start with that...

I liked Mayor Pete from the beginning, yet found him to be a bit nervous during TV interviews. He sure has come a long way - comfortable in his own shoes, and gets his message across in a cool and calming way. Just what we did need on a high anxiety day.

Speaking of high anxiety, I do miss MeAgain these days. I thought for sure she would return last week or this week. They are all working from home - I'm not sure why she didn't join in the past few days for an hour (or less, maybe she didn't have to stick around for interviews). I miss her telling us about 'spilling the tea', 'reading the tea leaves', and of course, 'moving the needle either way'.

BTW - anyone as excited as I am knowing we can get handcrafted cheese boards, a frywall for your frying pan and even bear claws to shred your pork and serve it - all at 50% off thanks to Gretta Monahan's 'VYD' yesterday???? I'll end with that...

  3. This week ended as a dud.

The 'Halloween' opening was ridiculous, the only saving grace was that no one was dressed as a Disney character.  I'm glad Joy mentioned how much she dislikes dressing in a costume each year as much as we, the viewers,  dislike seeing the cast dressed in costumes each year. It's hard to take the conversation seriously - especially during an important Presidential election as this one - when the hosts are dressed up like Sleeping Beauty, Elsa, Snow White, and The Little Mermaid. Here's hoping this season has started a new trend for the rest of the season.

The show didn't pick up speed after that. I wasn't particularly interested in Joy's walk-out from the dentist's office.  But even their 'election' topics were stale. Nothing was said which hasn't been said the past 6 months. How many times can Whoopi repeat something the President said or tweeted, and then ask each host with a quizzical look...'Sooooo, do you think he's a racist ?' or 'Sooooo, do you think he has a handle on the pandemic?' or 'Soooooo, should we believe him or Dr. Fauci?'

I'm just waiting for one of the hosts to curtly respond, "Already asked and answered over the past seven months, Whoopi. Pay attention when it's our turn so you don't keep repeating the questions each day."

I actually missed MeAgain, and the frenzied energy she brings. I thought for sure she'd be back this week to spark things up and throw out her cliches: 'chickens came home to roost', 'spill the tea', 'read the tea leaves', etc. I actually missed the totally wooden  Adam Glassman from 'Oprah' magazine.  You know it's a dull show when the viewer was waiting for it to end with 'View Your Deal'  - and it didn't happen.

Maybe next week will be better. Maybe MeAgain will return on Monday. Maybe Adam Glassman will return with Oprah's favorite pasta noodles at just 50% off.

See ya'll Monday.   And until then, "Remember to wear a mask, wash your hands, get out and vote, and take a little time to enjoy whatever view you happen upon".

  4. Today's show was above average.  I always like when RE is on the show - he is very informative and knows how to speak to an audience without boring the audience. You can tell the ladies like him a lot. It was very touching when he shared the story about his father's recent passing, and how Biden and Obama called him that day. Also at the very end - I didn't know he was a former ballet dancer !  No wonder he looks so good for his age and still has a great body (full disclosure: he and I share the same birthday yet he's a few years older than me but looks better than me! LOL)

Then we went to Chelsea Handler, who didn't have much to contribute because she's never a good guest. The show slowly rolled downhill from there.

As for Whoopi and 'cancel culture', don't forget : When Meredith left in 2006, Whoopi was Walters' first choice to take the moderator chair, but ABC said 'no' - and went with Rosie. Walters had to really fight to bring Goldberg on in 2007, when the seat was open again. As Whoopi said before, ABC still didn't want to take a chance on her. This is why she's so grateful to Walters.

  5. I enjoyed today's show. Maybe it's because as much as I like Joy on the show, I've grown tired of her this season. It was nice to see her not there today, along with MeAgain.

Surprisingly, I did enjoy Bari on the panel. I thought she was a good fill-in host. I didn't see any tension between her and Whoopi, but certainly felt it between her and Sunny. No one really disagrees with Sunny (sometimes MeAgain) , but I think Bari did it in a very thoughtful, considerate way (made me see both sides of 'cancel culture' and 'packing the courts'). Sunny didn't like that - not one bit. She needs to be the smartest one in class.

John Meecham, as usual, was a very interesting guest. There was definitely a good balance to the show today - I could even tolerate the shilling of nail polish (is that what that was ?).

    This will be taped.

I'm expecting Meghan to show up and wouldn't think she would wait until Nov 3.  Hmmmm.

Will she be there is week??

I don't think it will be taped, as it will be done from their homes remotely.

  7. Who else was excited as I was to see Adam Glassman hawking facial creams on 'Feel Good Friday - View Your Deal - The Oprah Edition' ?????

If only he could find a personality at 50% off...the guy is as interesting as watching wallpaper peel.

They may talk politics all the time, but this is not a political show. Even if it’s under their news division.

Agreed - but if they're going to talk politics on the show, this is definitely the week to do it.  I think their audience - and the ones who tune in occasionally - expect it this week, and they will score a bonanza in the ratings.

Leave the celebrity interviews for after the election.

You had me nodding in agreement until this. Why?

In the week leading up to election day, I would think they would have more interesting political guests on. Fill that slot - and Handler's, too - with Barack Obama, Cory Booker, John Kasich...save Handler and Jackson for another day. They talk politics all the time (and I'm not complaining) - the most important week of the year on the election calendar should be devoted to these guests (IMO).

  10. So Monday is worth tuning in for just because of 'View Your Deal' !!!! I mean, another day of 'the hottest items at affordable prices' ? We should be dancin' in the streets!

Tuesday - looking forward to John Meacham, but the book 'Soul of America' came out a few years ago, and he's published books since then. Not interested in Weiss.

Wednesday - I'll be shutting it off when Handler comes on.

Thursday - I'll be shutting it off when Jackson is on.

Friday - It will be interesting. I never ever liked their Halloween show, especially because it was always a tie-in to ABC or Disney, but this year they may be doing their own costumes at home...or not, since they probably don't have the interest or energy these days.

No, she seems to do it continually from the beginning to me.

I started watching Wendy Williams earlier this season, and after a week I had to delete it from my DVR. Why? Because she has the annoying habit of doing 'right, right, and 'uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh' off camera when someone else is talking and the camera is focused on them. And she does it on camera when she's saying something. After a sentence or two she has that annoying 'uh huh, uh huh, uh huh'. I thought it was a neurological disorder.

Now Whoopi is doing the same thing !

  12. These complaints about her treatment at ABC is rather interesting. I wonder if she plans on leaving the network in the coming months or the end of this season ? Maybe her contract is up and she's letting ABC (and other networks) know she's not happy there. Maybe she's aiming for her own show on MSNBC (like former host Nicolle Wallace) or CNN ? I think something is up for her to be speaking up publicly now, and not before. Just my thoughts...

  13.  Sara's uncontrollable laughter when discussing Toobin on Tuesday morning made quite a few news sites (just Google it and you will see).  Some commenters wondered why she saw this as being hysterically funny, while the others didn't.

I wonder who decides the topics for the show?  The Toobin discussion seemed more appropriate for TMZ or an SNL mock news segment.  There is so much going on currently that would be of more value/thought provoking than giving oxygen to  National Enquirer type gossip.  Just my View!

It's been said before that the list of 'hot topics' is presented to them each morning by their producer(s). The hosts decide together, at their morning meeting, which topics to talk about and which topics don't need to be discussed, and it has to be a majority decision by all hosts. Meghan has sniped about this when she's not happy with a topic.  She usually says something like "As I said at our meeting, there are more important things to discuss right now, but I guess you all rather talk about this".  (In last year's book "Ladies Who Punch" Rosie said that they could not talk about the legal trouble Cosby was in (2014-15) because Whoopi voted against discussing her friend, and the other hosts sided with her while Rosie did not.)

So  as for Toobin, it looks like the majority voted to discuss it before the show. I'm sure if Meghan was there, she'd make her comment that there's more important things to talk about right now days before the election (and she'd be right!).

  15. Very nice that Sunny spotlighted that 17 year old's charity for her 'birthday'. She gave him a lot of exposure on TV, and mentioned to him that she was doing it for her birthday.

It's too bad that no one had a talk with him before going on, to tell him to wish Sunny a Happy Birthday at the end of the segment. That's why she gave him this $30K donation from Bed, Bath and Beyond (and yes, this was another disguised infomercial at the end of the show).

Question...was that Sarah in the photo/selfie with fake Whoopie?  Didn’t look like her at all!

I would think even without wearing Macy's cosmetic counter on her face, she would have natural beauty. Boy, was I wrong. She looked like a cartoon character from 'The Simpsons' in her candid, no-make-up selfie.

  17. OK, I'll say it -

How excited were you to know you can buy Oprah's favorite 'paint by number' paint set at half off today ? I jumped out of my seat and sang 'Happy Days Are Here Again', while holding my Oprah's favorite hairbrush as a microphone ! Whenever Adam Glassman showed those to the audience - for just $21 - I 'knew the drill' , and had to act fast.

Keeping my fingers crossed that pretty soon they will do a follow-up:  maybe Oprah's favorite velvet paintings of Elvis Presley ?

And to think I can wrap myself up in a hooded sweater (which looked like a bedspread) and cover my mouth with a -gasp!- fabric mask ! Does life get better than this?

I watched Biden’s. Only saw clips of Trumps.

I was so hoping Sara Haines would have ended the NBC town hall with "Trump Your Deal", and offer exclusive MAGA merchandise at just 50% off! I guess I'm just too excited with VYD these days.

  19. For years I've been wondering where in the world can I find Eco-friendly light bulbs and children's dinnerware sets ?  I mean, seriously having sleepless nights !

Well, today my sleepless nights are over ! Thank you so much VYD! And at 50% off for the next 24 hours ? Can life get better than this ?

BTW, I guess Meghan is going to get 5 of those Eco-friendly children's dinnerware when she gets back to the show ? LOL

Not looking forward to MeAgain's return which I have a feeling is coming sooner rather than later.

If not the end of next week for her birthday, then definitely the week after (last week of October) to be ready for election coverage. She didn't suffer on for this show for the past three seasons just to miss the Presidential election ! NO way! Do you know how hard it is to be a republican on that show ? Of course we do - she reminds us every chance she gets.

  21. I may be the lone dissenter, but I wasn't too impressed with Cindy McCain today. Her personality has much to be desired - she comes across as very icy, and very phony.

She had the same demeanor when they were talking about her deceased mother-in-law and her new grandbaby.  She had the plastered smile on her face for both conversations, and offered light, happy 'filler' talk. It seemed like she didn't have much interest in the new grandchild. She carried that threw for the rest of the show, as well.

Maybe I'm reading it all wrong, but that was my impression of her guesting on the show today.

I also noticed they broke for commercial a little over 8 minutes into the first segment today, according to my DVR when I FF the commercials. 8 minutes - and that's including the 90 minute intro of what was coming up, and each host's intro. So they really spoke for 6 minutes or so, before going to commercial. Now there's a way to lose an audience - not enough time to keep them engaged.
