Spring Baking Championship - General Discussion
KayVeeTeeVee replied to Aethera's topic in Spring Baking Championship
I would love a season where all of the contestants get the same flavor or challenge, i.e. green apple and coffee, and see who can make something tasty and beautiful with that. And no twists, just good baking.- 3.2k replies

Anything BUT tying Drew to Carly. Can't LW take a damn vacation already? I want her off my screen for a while. Or forever.
-
Britt and Spinelli? Um, no.

How great would it be to have Spencer, just once, put on those black-rimmed glasses little Spencer used to wear. The Hive Mind on this page can probably think of a circumstance that would be appropriate for such a call-back.

Tomato soup cake is a real thing - and prepared correctly, it's great; spicy, but not tomatoe-y. Obviously, Diego put in way too much soup. I've been making it since the 50s. -

Seems like I'm in the minority, but I like Molly. Jesse, who was always dressed as some crazy character and even a Christmas tree, used to go to each station and ask questions, as did all the rest of the hosts, IIRC, so she's not doing anything new, or differently. And I recall several of the female bakers flirting with him. Bobby Deen was too, ah, regional for my taste. I liked Clinton Kelly, but found Ali too loud and over the top. I think Molly's nature is to smile - she does it on her Girl Meets Farm show as well. -
Wait! Does Michael have another face? Oh, yeah, the open mouth, slack jaw. Horrible. How does he stay on contract?

Leo went there hoping to see an octopus!

I really hope TPTB bring this group back again in the future. Maybe three or four years from now. Well, except the snotty little boy. I did chuckle when Ellora said she wanted to be a lawyer, not a baker. And she only gave winning a 'nine' because, jeez Louise, I can't recall her adorable reason. It's all so dramatic, was it? -
Garrett Haake and several others whose names escape me now. Enough of Lemire. Just like you wouldn't really enjoy eating cake all day, every day . . . Let the man sleep for goodness sakes!

I was about to correct leach to latch (I am a self-admitted Grammar Girl) but on second thought, leach works.

And don't forget Mel Gibson!

It's as long as it will take Epiphany to become a doctor.

Once again, we are treated to 20 minutes of sports at the top of the 6 a.m. hour. If I wanted to know the scores and strategies, I'd turn on ESPN. Why are these dunderheads allowed to get away with this nonsense. MSNBC - the place for politics, indeed.

Just read that Stephanie Ruhle will take over The 11th Hour. Her 9 a.m. slot will be filled by . . . wait for it . . . and expanded Morning Joe. OMG

And yet again Sonny's off his meds. I'm just about out - and I've watched since Day One.

Feels like today's show was pre-recorded. No news, only interviews and table talk. Just me?

Agree on all points. Ditch Tiffani and the insufferable deese, dems, and does, ugly sweater-wearing Christian. I would never go to one of his restaurants - he skeeves me out.

Joe and Mika in a better mood? She was absolutely LIVID with his behavior today! I wouldn't want to ride home in the car with him. Oh, wait.

Kids Baking Championship - General Discussion

My son, a master juggler, decided to offer classes to youngsters. I helped with registration and publicity, which indicated ages 10 to 14. Parents, who thought their child was exceptional, fudged the form and sent eight and nine-year-olds who didn't have the dexterity of kids ages ten and above. The younger ones were frustrated, cried; some were bad sports. Since we couldn't change the parents, we adjusted the lower age to 12. Success! -

Both of the young ladies who baked poke cakes could have benefited from Ben's jam. Count me among those who are thrilled little Ben has gone to sit in the corner. -
I don't tune in to MJ to hear eight minutes of sports at the top of the hour, followed by one host giggling and (IMHO) making fun of the woman who delivered the last election to Joe Biden. Over and over. Or should I say 'Again' as Joe does, repeatedly. Good thing I don't take a drink each time he says 'Again.' I would not like to be in Joe's shoes when today's show is over. He was disrespectful to Stacy Abrams, Joe Biden, and viewers. Wasn't thrilled to see Willie participating. Rev. Al looked as appalled as I felt. And then, at the top of the second hour, it began all over again. Again.

I'm hoping Harmony will gently point out her involvement with the Corinthii Cult to her daughter. They both got out; Willow can do it again, with her Mother's help.

They likely know each other - they were raised in neighboring towns near mine, and are about the same age.

Does Jonathan Lemire have a bed at 30 Rock? He has been on every show throughout the day. I realize it's vacation time, but still.
