  1. I guess that I like to live dangerously! 🤪 Your opinions on the shows seems to mirror what I've seen on Rotten Tomatoes.
  2. I just started watching this series after watching all of Daredevil. I've seen the first episode and since I haven't seen any of the other series, I am greatly appreciating all the setup of the other characters that I know nothing about. Looking forward to reading all the posts here once I'm done. I am reading the old vaulted episode posts as I finish watching each one, as I did with Daredevil.
  3. When we watched S03E01 of Daredevil, I said to myself: Something is very weird here. So afterwards, I carefully googled (to avoid being spoiled), and discovered that all these other shows merged here and that The Defenders happened between S2 and S3. I mentioned that to my husband who said that he didn't want to be jumping back and forth between shows, so we just kept rolling and are now going back. I would have stopped, and I honestly think that he's a bit confused now going back, but I'm saying nothing. ;) Ironically, we started watching Daredevil because we watched She-Hulk and when I read the message boards here after he appeared on that show, everyone seemed to go on and on about what a good show Daredevil was, so we decided to give it a go.
  4. So, I just finished watching the entire series over the last month. It was really well done, and I regularly consulted the old vaulted forum where I could read episode by episode. I'm not a comic book reader and I greatly appreciated how nobody spoiled certain plot points in the forums about the various characters. Maybe that's a forum rule, but it was nice being surprised. The only thing that I was spolied about was that I knew that Fisk never died, because I saw him in the Hawkeye series. I haven't watched any of the other Marvel Netflix series, but I just started watching The Defenders (finished episode one) because I wanted to see what happened with the whole Elektra business.
  5. I did notice last week when they were all sitting on the floor outside the operating room. I did wonder about that, and now I know why. I was not a huge fan of her either. But wow, they have a serious revolving door of surgical interns at the hospital!
  6. In our house, we don't fry anything in a big batch of oil. We add a tablespoon here and there to fry stuff in. The only time that we have oil to dispose of is when we make bacon, which is about once a month. Does FryAway work on that? I looked them up on Amazon, and it says "any cooking oil." Sometime we cook ground beef and there is more fat than expected and we use paper towels to absorb it. I liked the pitcher a lot. Ctrl-C/Ctrl-V. I am a dinosaur as well, and I select text with the mouse and then Ctrl-C/Ctrl-V using my left hand. That has always been very fast for me to do. I don't need special buttons for that. I thought that the tongs thing was cool. I would consider buying them. The plastic coating for the creepy crawlies. I can't believe that they aren't getting a percentage of the installer stuff. Their best bet is to sell it in stores and online to consumers - like paint. Clearly I can never move to an always-warm climate because having to deal with scorpions, etc would end me. It's bad enough when the spiders start coming into the house in the fall, but at least my hubby and grown sons have no qualms about disposing them for me.
  7. I was very frustrated as well. The valuations - and the asks - were all very high. So even if the Sharks wanted to ask for a higher percentage of the company, the high asks were just compounding the problem. I also felt that many of them were just there for the exposure, not to make an actual deal.
  8. I like cereal, but I needed to reduce dairy in my diet. So, I switched to unsweetened, plain almond milk. That's the only thing I use it for is my cereal. I think the idea is that because pulverizing nuts gives you a white liquid, they call it milk instead of juice.
  9. I also recall several times when there was a male presenter who was shirtless (typically for some sort of exercise or nutritional product) and she made rather lewd remarks. It was never ok when men drooled over women, and the reverse is not ok and should never be acceptable either.
  10. This made me laugh really hard! I also thought that it was very interesting that he was willing to come on the show, said that he makes the pancakes every weekend at home, but had not invested a single dime into the company. The pitcher said that he needed help with social media - Schwimmer couldn't at least help him with that? The whole thing was a little strange. I do wonder if the deal did/will actually go through with her or not?
  11. I really loved this series. We watched it 3 episodes at a time, which was perfect since it seemed to be divided into chapters like that. The acting was fantastic and because it was such a slow burn building up the intensity and characters, they were so rich and you really cared about them. I KNEW that they were building parts for the Death Star in prison so that end credit scene was so thrilling to watch. I'm going to have to watch Rogue One again. I'm really surprised we're getting a second season.
  12. Apparently that's not the real Zipstring. Their website mentions that you can only get it there and beware of knockoffs, etc. I think that after 2 years, you would have all the decorations that you would need and cancel. The prices also seemed high to me - especially for the size of the boxes.
  13. So I finished watching all the episodes. Some interesting pitches. The reusable Hot Pockets - twenty years ago I had a baby bottle warmer that worked the same way - it was a cylinder that wrapped around the bottle and you boiled it afterwards. The houseplants were interesting, and I really liked her. I don't think that baby bidet thing will really go anywhere here in North America. The mattress reselling was interesting Those people with the plants in a glass box offering 1% of the company - eyeroll. The pitch wasn't even good! The device to cut the rings off was fascinating. I had no idea that it was such a big problem. @UsernameFatigue I ordered those Basecamp cards from Amazon - free shipping with my $35 order! 😀 We're going to try them out over the holidays.
  14. I think that it is strictly intended for those niche markets, like California where most people have pools and they get a lot of fires. I just keep thinking of all the germs and dust, etc that keeps getting embedded deeper and deeper into it, ugh. However, he said that he comes out with new kinds every week. They are beautiful to look at. It would not surprise me at all to hear that many people simply order ones in a "favorite kind," and then just put them on a shelf as decoration - that people have started collecting these. ___ The plastic exercise suit: No question that using these is not healthy at all. You are deliberately trying to drain as much water from your body as quickly as possible. He seemed like a really nice guy who talked about wanting his son to be proud of him. Maybe I'm just cranky, but maybe he could find a different job where you aren't jeopardizing people's health and/or lives with your product? Yes, people who are hellbent on doing this will do it, but why contribute to making it easier. I don't know... ___ The hummingbird feeder made me laugh, and if he does well, good for him. They seemed really nice and I hope that Daniel helps them though he is STILL on my shit list for that stunt he pulled with the diaper cream lady. Nope, apparently I am STILL not willing to let that go.
  15. Season 17, Episode 3 Ryna Wow, these ladies seriously hustled their deal. Good on them if they can get away with it. I think that they were definitely on to something. I've never had a roommate, but I can see how complicated the process can be, and I watch People's Court, so I've seen the ramifications of a bad setup many times 😃 The Rod Caddy I know nothing about fishing at all, so I cannot say anything about this. I think that the Dragons are right - they would have had more traction if people were really interested? He should start making a bunch of silly, TikTok videos or something to see if he can set something on fire. Train Fitness Very interesting idea. These are the types of exercises that I do, but I don't really have a hard time counting my reps and logging them. Would I pay an app every month to do that for me? It's doubtful, but I don't tend to be the average bear in a lot of things. Manmade All I know about men's underwear is that I buy it for the men in my house when it starts getting ratty or someone actually complains. I just buy the same stuff over and over again. I cracked up over the BSTL (I ALSO learned something new). Rabbittown I can't drink alcohol anymore (my body gives me the finger when I do, so I just stopped), but I am not motivated to drink a lot of calories from these types of drinks. The woman seemed very nice and competent, so I hope she does well. I will stick to my Heineken Zero, which has been doing the job for me.
  16. I've been to glaciers in the middle of summer and it was freezing. The level of warmth that clothing provides is not necessarily determinable solely by it's looks. You don't have to be wearing a snowsuit for the jacket you are wearing to be rated to -40 degrees or whatever and provide a high degree of warmth. It gets bloody cold in the winter where I live, so I am well acquainted with various outdoor clothing. For all we know, they may have started telling the racers not to bring warmer jackets anymore and/or the company that supplied the clothing to TAR may have wished to do so to promote their brand. The show has always welcomed sponsors. We don't know. Anyway, you are of course entitled to your opinion, as I am to mine, and we may interpret things that we see differently. So let's just agree to disagree.
  17. I don't know that I agree with you about the weather where they were racing. I've been to glaciers before and it was freezing. The racers had to climb the ice wall and then swim in the freezing water - I think that it would have been very important for them to have that gear to warm them up/keep them warm to prevent hypothermia under those conditions with the various challenges. YMMV.
  18. There have been many times over the seasons when TAR has supplied cold weather gear to the teams. This is definitely not the first time that I've seen this.
  19. Season 17, Episode 2 Cocktail Bomb Shop Wow, she's making a killing with these. So it costs you $5+tax to make your own drink - I guess part of the appeal is watching it fizz up. I avoid drinking calories at all costs, so not something of interest to me. Mossify Such a weird pitch. Again, not something that really interested me. No Story Lost This was interesting. Fabulous idea, but the price - $1,500 for the base model is WAY, WAY, WAY out of reach for most people. I think that if you really wanted to have a souvenir like this, you could do your own interviews, write things up - get help there if writing is not your strong suit - put a bunch of pages together and then send it to a printer. The books also seemed rather small for the price, though Manjit's seemed a bit larger than the one in the photo. Manba I like peanut butter, but I don't like spicy foods, so not for me. I wish them well, because I think that there is a market for their product. Unightie She was very charming, but this is clearly a one-woman-business for her to make a little money on the side. Great product for serious campers. Not something that is investible.
  20. I went back to their website this year because I was curious if shipping was still insane, and it was less - only $8 instead of something like $18 - but still crazy for a tiny box of cards. Interestingly, they have them on Amazon with free shipping if you spend the usual $35. So I may toss them into my next order to try them out at Christmas once and for all.
  21. I just saw this now. Thank you for the compliment @UsernameFatigue, though it's almost a year late. 🤪 I don't know what happened to my PVR, but it taped none of this current season and just realized that it's already over. Ironically those infernal BaseCamp cards emailed me about a Black Friday special (first time in a year I've heard from them) and that's what made me think - "Are there new DD episodes?" So - I'm catching up now by watching them on CBC Gem - HATE THE ADS - and I'm partway through Episode 2. Episode 1 thoughts: I have zero interest in eating lobster, but they all seemed very excited about the product and good on him for the deal with Arlene. He seemed like a super nice guy Eye gadgets seemed cool, and as much time as I spend on a screen for work and my hobby, I've never had the problem, so not for me. We do use sprinkles here for Christmas cookies, but so much on other stuff anymore. I hope she does well, she seemed very competent. The Parked Auto guys - I first thought that they were teaming up with existing shops with that app to drive business. Shops get business, the guys get a cut, you chauffeur my car around, everyone wins! Great idea! But they want to open actual shops to do the oil changes with? Seems like a huge mistake to me.
  22. I just finished Season 3 yesterday. The last episode dragged a lot and was disappointing. I really liked how some episodes focused entirely on the other characters. The Arabic Shark Tank was hilarious - they even got Robert Herjavec for a cameo. Steve is really pissed with Ramy, but no time was allocated for that at all. Then the parents go to buy hot dogs and the guy handles them with his bare hands?!?! Such a weird episode and the scene with Ramy on the shore praying dragged out way too long. It was so obvious to me that she was going to steal the watch - even before she knocked him over. Ramy is a really slow learner. I wonder what's going to happen with him and his daughter now - or even how he gets out of this situation with the watch.
  23. I think that it was 700K, not 750K. I like how the other sharks helped him see how to keep that 5%. I would love an update on this in the future. I'm so glad to see so many of you agree with me that their prices were bonkers. I was surprised that none of the sharks called them out on that. Agree that the name is dumb. "I'm not a man who shaves so I'm out." That made me laugh 😃
  24. My understanding is that the entire race is laid out prior to casting. No, I've seen it happen where one is entirely skipped. I always feel sad for the people working at it. I think Derek was so freaked out on the bike because he'd had bike and scooter accidents. I'd probably be nervous too. Actually you can take a penalty on a roadblock, and teams have done that. The last that I remember, it was 4 hours, though they may have changed that.
  25. So many wonderful Easter eggs in this episode. I cracked up over how the "James T" descendant was talking. with. the. William. Shatner. pauses. all. the. time. 🤣 Charming episode all around! Looking forward to seeing how Murf evolves.
