  1. Who was the in-memoriam at the end of the episode directed to?
  2. I don't know why, but I checked out the Modern Picnic website to see if they are insulated. The prices!!!! The kid's lunch bags are $83! The Tote is $343 and the small clutch size is $81. It says that they are insulated. I bought a cute lunch bag (with the silver-interior) about 4-5 years ago and I think I paid about $20 CAD. Wow these prices - I guess for the fancy folk they are NBD.
  3. I would never spend that kind of money on a purse, never mind a lunch bag. I was intrigued by the baby blanket, but man that's expensive. Some "spills" are not easily just wiped off. I also thought that the bodysuits seemed rather sheer and I would never wear one without snaps - too inconvenient. I remember the pancake guy - I'm glad that he landed on his feet. He was very smart to go all in for his inventory before appearing on the show. I think that far too many pitchers are not ready for the rush after being on the show and lose a lot of opportunity.
  4. So we've been watching Rebels as a family for about the last six months and finally got it finished to start watching Ahsoka. We watched the first two episodes and it was cool to see some of the animated stuff in live action. Lothal and the Loth-cats were well done. We were about 5 minutes into episode when my husband remarked: "I just realized this isn't animated." We all cracked up! 🤣
  5. We had an update on the ecologically responsible cleaning company. They were talking about using Shopify for their business. They mentioned how when they appeared in Shark Tank, that the website held up fine to cover the business and how great it is for them, even now that they're making a bajillion dollars. My question: Why would anyone make their own website if this is so awesome? Why doesn't everyone sell through them. What am I missing?
  6. I think that if you are coming on a show looking for an investment, you should be professionally dressed, or dressed in a way that fits your product. That strange belly-baring outfit was none of those things.
  7. So I finally finished the first run episodes today! I agree, that I would be very interested in watching episodes from many, many years ago, but they probably will continue to air newer ones. It was a blast reading everyone's posts all of these years. In recent years I just couldn't keep up, so I was rarely posting, but you guys made watching the show extra fun. Many thanks! 😀
  8. I looked at their FAQ which says that Canadian orders will be handled by: www.cakecosmetix.ca So, they only have 5 varieties and they are all $17 per bag. I calculated shipping and it was about $15 - 2 day Expedited parcel with Canada Post. That's pretty steep - there were no other shipping options other than pick up at their one location. So yeah, too steep for my blood.
  9. Proud Diamond: I felt that they were overly harsh with her. I personally think that the Dragons are probably somewhat snobby when it comes to luxury items and resent the idea that someone could have something that looks the same for less. Spatula: They were all falling over themselves to make a deal, but honestly I would not spend this much money on a frozen bag of food to heat up - I don't care who cooked it. Also - I felt that their valuation was much too high based on what they had earned so far. I was puzzled by all of this. Vanpackers: I often don't agree with Manjt, but I also thought that the units looked very bare bones and seemed pricey for the cost. He was so gung-ho on keeping up the van rental side of the business and then was called back at the last minute by Michele when he agreed that he'd be willing to let that slide. I wonder if that deal panned out in the end, because he seemed very reluctant when Vince asked him the same thing earlier.
  10. She is constantly barking at him. She's just so rude to him, it pisses me off. I like Andrea and Malaina but they HAVE TO STOP with the *out of towners* bit. I agree with you entirely. I have long said that they should get Matt Bomer to play Superman!
  11. I've caught up on more episodes. Things that I recall: The good: The harness for construction workers. Very cool! I loved it. The cake in the greeting card was brilliant! What a great idea and perfect execution. The dragonfly on the hats! I learned something new about dragonflies and was happy to see an entrepreneur with a very reasonable ask and a great product get all the dragons. The ok: The musical animals and puzzles. They were really nice, but not as amazing (to me), as others seemed to find them. Snowplow guy. He's got something going, but he's not there yet. The not-so good: The tampons. I find that if you use a plastic applicator, it's never much of a problem, but honestly the removal is often worse, and this does nothing for that. I just don't see this making it. Condom lady. Michelle and Arlene are right. She needs a subscription model to be more successful.
  12. Did not see at all how Chamoy fit into a Halloween themed show, but. The pumpkin guys. They didn't even have tools ready to sell. There was nothing to invest in. The thrill seeker place will probably do well.
  13. I think that one of two things happens. Either they bring him a vegan version to eat, or he's not a strict vegan. I worked with someone like that who was mostly vegan, but would make exceptions in some cases. On Dragon's Den in Canada, one of the dragons is a vegetarian and food presenters always have a vegetarian option when possible, or she just says that she won't be able to sample their product. I don't like to comment on people's appearances, but I really noticed her face while watching this episode. She fully owns her two face lifts on the Instagram link. I see these overdone faces (a few come to mind as I type) and all I can think is: "You are really not fooling anybody and I bet that you would honestly look so much better if you just left your face alone." But people are allowed to spend their money any way they like. I think that the monosuit lady should just focus on selling her brand of clothing that recycles ocean waste. She should push that agenda on social media. As for the monosuit - meh - I think that she should focus on making other clothing items with a wider range of buyers. I've never played pickleball, but I would be interested in trying it, since I've played tennis and badminton. Paddlesmash might be fun too. I cannot fathom spending more money to have my dog babysat at my wedding then I spent on my actual dress, but that's just me...
  14. The whole "out of towners," thing that she keeps shrieking all the time really bothers me because you don't just get to run like a lunatic across a road and hold up traffic because you're not from around here. It strikes me as entitlement. That bothered me too. I think that if we are going to kill animals/fish to eat them, that we should do it as quickly and humanely as possible and not drag out their suffering. I think that was really smart. They were delivering mattresses to individual rooms and there was someone there to check the count, so they were probably as safe from theft as they could possibly be.
  15. I HATED Blaine and her dating pitch. She irritated the ever loving shit out of me. I wonder if that deal will actually come to pass. The baseball glove. I rarely agree with Barbara, but I did in this case. If I played baseball, I would probably wrap a towel around my glove, and then wrap duct tape it around it. You really don't need that special band - a bunch of other things will work just fine. The beef wellingtons looked yummy. Bots! I hate bots! And I agreed with an above poster who said that it's still going to limit who can cash in on stuff because people who can afford the subscription will still have an advantage. My music career will never amount to a concert with ticket sales, never mind people fighting to buy said tickets, but in that alternate universe, I would find a way to make sure that no bloody bot would ever be able to buy them, so that true fans would have access and would not have to face scalpers to get them.
  16. Just realized that the new season has started and my PVR hasn't been taping. 😡 Anyway, catching up online. Hopefully others are watching. Season 18 Episode 1 The Spa Dragon: Prevents your hut tub from completely freezing up. Pitcher says he gets 3-5 calls a week to deal with this problem, so he invented somethign to prevent the irreversible damage. He wanted too much money. No deal. One Second Plumber: Company's been around for 25 years, but was never marketed a lot. A canister that eliminates a clogged drain in seconds. Son is looking to blow it up now. Arlene offers them 500K for the company and a 3% royalty for 10 years. They take it. Swift Hockey: 20 year-old young man with Jamaican heritage, manufacturers hockey sticks that resist breaking. He's doing very well and accepts Wes' deal. Good for him! Rolla Skate Club: Old school roller skating location where you have groups roller skate workouts along with some corporate events. They want to franchise, but they are not profitable yet. No deal. Lux Aerobot: Balloons that float 20km high in the sky with thermal cameras. Use images and AI to predict where wildfires will go next. Really interesting with a lot of potential. They accept Robert's deal.
  17. I'm STILL working my way through TPC first run episodes - I'm on July 12, so almost done, and I thought to myself "Has her new show started yet?" I found this forum and I'm so disappointed to hear that it's scripted with actors. 😥 Not interested in some fake court show. I guess that i will have to find a new laundry show once I'm through the other episodes. I wish they would show really old reruns of TPC, I'm not really interested in seeing ones again from a few years ago. I will miss all the snark - I always go to the forums once I watch some eps to read what y'all thought.
  18. Same here! Would I do it for the million dollars - I would sure as hell try. But for an Express Pass - hell no!
  19. They totally blew it by not using the Pass on TyKat. I can't believe that they didn't do it. They weren't as competitive as some other teams, but I did enjoy them, and they looked like they would be a hoot to hang around with.
  20. I thought that Tyler had gotten the wrong number when he climbed up and that's why their math was wrong, but no - they had the correct number: 900 I'm really shocked that they struggled with 900 * 0.8 They must have been super tired to keep messing that up. J&J really do have nine lives. I guess karma bit Derek and Jaspal in the ass for Yielding (or whatever it was) the young ladies a few legs earlier. TyKat are clearly the biggest threat and if the other remaining teams are smart, they will band together to try and get them out next.

    S01.E06: Episode 6

He is ex-military, perhaps a Navy Seal or something? With that kind of training, he could still have a physical advantage over many people.

    S01.E07: Episode 7

The whole thing with Lyndon really bothered me. We see that in all of the multi-verses, Lyndon dies and Katie walks away. When Katie was leaving, Forest reminds her that "Lyndon is in your car and you have this thing." So nonchalant! Katie and Forest knew that Lyndon always died. What was the point in killing her? (Lyndon is portrayed by a female actor, so I'm assuming Lyndon is a she or possibly uses they? The show is unclear) There was no reason for Lyndon's death. Forest also told Jamie that everything was going to work out for him. Really!? I'm guessing that Lily destroys the computer and that's why they can't see the future beyond that point, but I am fascinated that Stewart is just hanging out by the door. It's like he saw the future too and knows that shit is going down and wants to make a fast getaway.
  23. I love a good musical, but I was skeptical about how they would make this work. But they really pulled it off, and the Klingon number was comedy gold. I loved how they even "Broadwayified" the opening credits. It was a fun one-off.
  24. I am terrified of spiders. When I saw that Speed Bump, all I could think was that I might probably have to take a penalty on that. The only way that I MIGHT be able to get through that would be not to look AT ALL and then shovel that ice cream like I've never eaten anything in my life. I too would be screaming like a lunatic when it was all over. Lots of product placement in general, but it's the cost of being able to have the show, so I'm fine with it. I recall when the production values of Canadian TV were so awful - it's nice to see that we can at least have good quality for our shows. There haven't been a lot of Roadblocks - just team things where they are separated. I wonder why?
