  1. I think the video I posted above shows is exactly who Stephanie is. A petty follower. Cary Deuber confirmed as much on Twitter. I’ve been saying it for a while. I just don’t believe she’s as sugary sweet as she wants to portray. Her husband also posts things on social media that piss me off.
  2. I don’t mind at all! She still spends a lot of time with Brittany, Ariana, and Scheana. She spent some of the holidays with Scheana’s family, which I thought was really nice. It seems she is still at least cordial with Katie and Lala. She mostly hangs out with people outside of the show, which is probably good for her!
  3. Am I the only one who is a little disappointed that Brandi and Stephanie are just going forward with their tour as if nothing happened? Literally, sold out shows. I’m disappointed that people can so easily overlook such disrespectful behavior (Brandi) and enabling (Stephanie) but I guess when it doesn’t affect you personally... (granted, I am generalizing here but I imagine their demographic for the podcast is not a lot of people/women of color). Edited to add relatedly: here’s D’Andra being D’Andra. Yikes!
  4. I feel bad for even mentioning this, but are we just supposed to forget that Jennifer’s kid is being bullied? Like didn’t another kid pour something over her head recently? Clearly, these “memorable” parties aren’t actually helping her. They just make Jennifer feel better because she thinks she looks better.
  5. I'm so glad you called this out because it is so troublesome when people do this. Just because one person of a specific race/nationality/ethnicity isn't offended does not mean they speak for everyone. The Kanye Wests of this world make my life so difficult. So bravo to you for this, ShawnaLanne! Brandi posted an 11 minute long video. I didn't watch it (because yuck) but apparently she played the blame game and made excuses. The caption of the video originally called out Steve and Kameron and said she "forgives them" for some such nonsense, but she's since edited that out. What a nut.
  6. I'm glad he's an idiot and didn't! I prefer to know that someone is a racist than for them to be able to hide it while I form a liking for them and then be sorely disappointed later (a la LeeAnne).
  7. For some reason, I really like her and I feel really bad for her that she's being excluded. I feel like Stassi is hanging her wedding over Kristen's head and I find that very unfortunate. I am rooting for Kristen. Based on social media, it does seem like she has some supportive people in her corner.
  8. I agree on this point. I think the women on the show were quick to stick with the term "racist" because (1) it's a buzz word and it's what's people tend to cling to/understand when someone's background is brought up and (2) the negative connotation around the word. I felt like the women really got a thrill in labeling LeeAnne as a racist, especially D'Andra and Brandi. To them, it was like a "Now, don't you see? SHE is the problem, not us". Which is true to a certain extent. The tone and aggression that LeeAnne used while talking about Kary's Mexican background indicated some serious undertones of bias and prejudice. However, I said several pages ago and I will say it again, I do not buy that these women are as culturally aware and progressive as they want to present themselves. Kary looks just like them. I just don't believe that they afford the same grace to people of color who don't, as Brandi demonstrated in her gross video. I don't write this to stereotype these women, but given factors such as SES, where they grew up, and what we know about their political leanings, I am skeptical of this rhetoric that is being presented. Thank you for attending my TED Talk lol.
  9. I can kind of understand what you mean, but as a black woman, I am hurt when people make racist or prejudiced comments about me or to me. I'm hurt because it is painful to be treated like I don't matter because of my skin color. It is painful to worry about how you are being perceived by others constantly because of an immutable characteristic that I had no control over. Therefore, when someone makes a racist comment, I am genuinely affected by it. That is one reason why, even though I did not like Kary at all, I did feel for her during that discussion. Even if she wasn't genuinely upset during that segment--and I did question the extent of her reaction--I still feel bad for anyone who has to experience such hostility because of their background. LeeAnne was just wrong, wrong, wrong here. I am disappointed to say that because I really did root for LeeAnne before this whole thing occurred. However, I do agree with the people here who say people who mess up should not be thrown away. Accountability is important and if people want to change, let's embrace them. I don't know where LeeAnne falls yet in terms of actual accountability, but for her own sake and the sake of everyone around her, I hope she does truly educate herself.
  10. I promise I actually have a life and hopefully my username signals that I actually have a career besides watching these ridiculous shows that I hate to love, but I do creep on social media sometimes. And I have to say, Kameron, Stephanie, and even Brandi have spent time with LeeAnne or sent her loving messages on social media since this season started. They knew by the end of the season what comments she made. That makes this whole grand proclamation that she's a racist even more of a show to me. I feel like Kameron said it best, LeeAnn was dead wrong and she needs to make it right. The best way is probably to take herself off of all of our screens, but only time will tell. The rest of the women were showboating. Actions speak louder than words to me. How many of them actually engage and have close friendships with people who do not look like them? Based on what I've seen, ironically, the only one who truly does is LeeAnn (not that having friends of color exempts you from being bigoted). I just find that interesting.
  11. 100% agreed. I cannot get behind D'Andra at all because her indignation does not ring true to me. D'Andra was on some board or something supporting Trump as a candidate. The fact that Brandi just got an endorsement from Danielle Staub is not something that she should be flattered by.
  12. This is painful to watch lol. Stick a fork in LeeAnn, because she is done. I liked her the first few seasons, but this is inexcusable. I laugh at the irony of hypocrite Brandi with her theatrics with the chair and her disgust. I try not to judge people I don't know, but I don't doubt for a second she makes problematic statements in her private life. That gross video just confirmed what I already knew. Kary and D'Andra just bug me so much. I did feel for Kary because I am sure she's embarrassed and hurt by the comments. I hope she doesn't come back though. She just seems like a horrible person.
  13. She posted a new one on Twitter now. But it’s too late when you spend hours deflecting and making excuses, delete all of those comments, and then apologize. She also qualified it as happening “years ago” so makes it all less sincere. These women are all ridiculous.
  14. I saw on Twitter that apparently someone asked Brandi if she thought it was okay for someone to do blackface and she responded “what’s blackface”. The ignorance is so real. LeeAnn is the epitome of a toxic mess. Racist and toxic, what a combo. However, I could see the show falling apart without her, if they did in fact fire her. Does anyone really care about the Stephanie/Kam issue? There’s no other conflict because the rest are friends. And I could honestly do without Kary on my screen, so I hope she’s a one-season wonder.
  15. This show is no longer enjoyable with the racism (ethnic insensitivity) and ridiculousness. I am not surprised by the Brandi video and have been weary of her since the sexual chocolate fiasco when she thought was so funny and clever to chase after someone with a black dildo specifically. Just no. Kam is Kam. She doesn’t bother me and is probably my favorite. I don’t think I buy Stephanie’s sugary sweetness but she does seem pretty harmless. LeeAnn is just wrong. Like just stop talking because you’re making it worse. Get yourself a therapist and a publicist because you clearly need help. I don’t think she’ll be fired. They knew what she said when they had her at BravoCon. Kary and D’Andra seem like miserable people. I have a hard time believing that any of these women have not made racially insensitive comments, including Kary. I’m sure the Obama era was filled with complete civility and no suspect commentary from any of them at all /sarcasm. LeeAnn is still completely wrong and deserves criticism, but I’m not buying this outrage from the others.
